His role will be to commercialize research and develop new markets for Intec’s water treatment technologies. McCune will also begin to publish articles online related to chlorine free pools and water treatment applications. <br />

Intec manufactures chlorine free pool technologies that utilize copper ionization. The technology was originally developed by NASA and was first commercialized by Intec over 35 years ago. This technology serves as the safer alternative to salt water systems that generate chlorine. In addition to the health benefits, chemical free pools require less maintenance and are more economical to maintain than the chlorine alternative. <br />

In 2009, Intec will focus more on green technologies that are used in water treatment and water reclamation. These will include bottle-less water coolers, rain water harvesters, and water softeners/conditioners that do not utilize salt.<br />
