A man claiming to be Jack Smith, with a heavy accent, kept calling me and my husband saying that we had taken out an internt payday loan through Cashnet and never paid it back. He had my bank account information and my social security number but when I pressed him for further information, he told me I would get all the information after I paid around $800.00. I told him that I had not taken out any type ofloan whatsoever on the internet or elsewhere and he called me a liar. He said that if I refused to pay, he was sending the police over to arrest me and put me in jail and that then I would owe thousands of dollars. I told him to go ahead and send the police and he became very abusing verbally and threatening me. I told him I was contacting Internet Fraud, my bank, and the police, then told him to never call back and I hung up. He uses more than one phone number and name. Do NOT send any money! This is a big scam and I contacted the proper authorities so all I hope for now is that they catch this person or persons and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.
