Acai Berry Online Offer
I ordered their product and received it on 02-22-09;
the product upset my stomach and I called within the 14 day trial period and cancelled my offer.
On 02-28-09 I was charged for another bottle of their product and called on 03-04-09 when I received it and ask why they had not acknowldeged their agreement with me to cancel the future shipment of products.
I was told that I did not call before the trial period was up...which I did and that I would have to pay the additional charges on my credit card. I wrote to them at the web address and they have not responded. I am just hoping that I don't get another bottle of these pills and that I am not charged again for this product.

duplicate charges-no product
As many have done, i ordered a trail offer, no risk order of acai berry product, with days i was charge 78.81 for my "free trail offer", then was charged again same day two seperate transactions in the amount of 83.80, same transactions numbers. Called and cancelled my credit card, and company to cancel. I was credited for two of three transactions, but still owed $84. Countless phone calls to India, where phone connections are poor, communication impossible, i was given email address to dispute.
After 5 unanswered emails, finally response stating i was owed for product shipped including shippping and handling. Never received but one shipment that if refused and returned to sender. I have filed a dispute witj my credit card company. They are fraudulent, and misleading, and should be convicted of such.

Unauthorized billing
As I state above, the internet ad indicates they will send you a 2-wk. supply of acai berry caps to try out if you send them the shipping fee (for me in Canada $11.63) I did receive a bottle of caps via UPS after a couple of weeks. Obviously, the free incentive is so this disreputable company can get your credit card info, after which they rip you off by deducting another $78.81 completely unauthorized by you! I discovered this fraud about a week after the did it when checking my VISA statement. I called VISA. They called Advanced Wellness, and someone there told me they had shipped more product to me (unauthorized, of course!) UPS. They told VISA if I then refused the delivery or shipped it back via registered mail so I'd have a receipt, etc., they would then refund the amount to my VISA card. It's been over 18 days now, and so far, no product has shown up. VISA has a note on my file and will not charge interest, but whether I ever get my money back is a moot point thus far. Watch out for this racket!!!
I cannot call their 800 number from Canada (800-503-WELL) since most US 800 number do not work from this country, nor do I get a 'live one' when I call their phone number showing on my VISA statement :866-964-1011. All I get is weird noises, rather like a fax machine. Their site is www.buypureacaiberry.com shows no way to e-mail them that I can discover.

charge to my credit card
ACAI Berry and Colo Flush are being charged to my credit card without my authorization. It will cost me $78.00 for each if I don't get this off my card. This company needs to be shut down. They give you nobody that speaks English so you can't get anything resoloved.

Unauthorized billing
Signed up for the free trial - no indication I would be charged any more than the $4.99. Two wks later got a charge on card for $78.80... then two weeks later got another charge for $83.30 even after I told them to take me off of their list! TOTAL SCAM COMPANY!

misleading offer
They offer a no obligation trial supply for the price of shp/handling which I charged to my debit card. The company proceeded to bill me the full price of a treatment. Come to find out, the product, a tooth whitener, was "on trial, " for 14 days after which time, they billed my debit card full price.
They had testimonials of how people had whitened their teeth for free, paying only the price of shipping. A mixed message at best.
is there any way I can recoupe my money?
The charge was $69.99.

Acai Berry Scam
I did the trial offer and paid for SH $4.95...then was charged on my credit card $83.80 and put on auto shipments every month. I did call the company and spoke with a phone person who says I agreed to all the terms on the internet and they will not refund my money nor take back the product even though I refused the shipment by mail, never opened the shipment!!! I feel the company missrepresented the free trial offer and would like to caution all who think this is a deal!! Does the public have any recourse???

Unauthorized charges
I too was taken by the Advanced Wellness Research. In January I decided to try their supplements but after a half hour a co-worker warned me that it was a possible scam. I then called back to cancel my free trial and I was told that they couldn't cancel the order. I had no choice but to take the trial and if I didn't like it to return it. I used their instant message customer service and luckily I printed out the whole conversation. They told me that when I returned the product they would cancel any further orders. I did exactly what they told me and returned the product (of course you can't just put return to sender on the package) and the kind postman asked if I wanted to get a confirmation when the package was returned. So I paid extra for that and SAVED EVERY DOCUMENTATION. Of course like others, I was surprised to see not one but TWO charges to my credit card. I was pissed off beyond belief and ashamed to be taken in by this scam. I called the company and after one failed phone call, I called again. After listening to people talking and not paying attention that I was on the phone wanting to speak with a customer service person, finally someone talked with me. A middle eastern woman 'helped' me and after badgering her why they charged my account, I was put on eternal hold. I then emailed them and asked why I was charged and their response was to thank me for having a question and to call the number to resolve my issues. So I called back and finally spoke to another middle eastern person (a man who said his name was Den). I kept my cool but was persistent with him wanting to know why they charged my account. After some tension between he and I (and finally I told him to just stop talking from a script and TALK TO ME about why they would do this). I told him I had confirmation of returning the product to Nampa, ID (that looks like a shit hole if you google earth it and get the photo of the area. there is no company there!). I also told him that I printed out the online customer service conversation (that they strangely don't have anymore!) and have in writing that they would not charge me or send me anymore products. BTW, they did send me more pills and when I gave him the order number on the front of the package, he said that was not an order number. Then he wanted to put me on hold so he could talk with someone and I said no since the last person put me on hold and never returned. He promised he would return and said he needed a minute. I then became stern with him and said he had one minute and better do it now. He then said he may need more than a minute and I said 'then put me on hold right now, go, and you better be back in one minute. Go, I'm timing you' His voice became nervous and said he may need 1-2 minutes and I then said, 'GO, stop talking with me and go...put me on hold and you better be back in no more than 2 minutes'. He put me on hold and I did time him. He came back in 2.5 minutes and said they would refund me both charges. I told him I wanted him to email me to confirm the refunds. He asked for my email address and I told him I already gave him the address and to repeat it back to me. He was a bit surprised by that and I said, 'repeat the address back to me. You took my name, address and email address at the beginning of the phone call, so repeat it back to me'. He then did repeat it back to me and I think I asked 2 or 3 more times (almost in disbelief) to assure me that they would refund my money. He confirmed the refund and promised to email for both charges.
I did receive two emails to confirm both charges would be refunded and I was so amazed that I did receive the refunds! I don't trust this company so as soon as my monthly charges from other vendors came through, I called my credit card company and requested they close that account and open a new account with a new number so if that fraud company thinks they can charge my account again, they won't be able to! PLEASE MAKE SURE TO CANCEL YOUR CARD AND OPEN A NEW ACCOUNT IF YOU MUST GO THROUGH THIS CRAP!

Never received product, wont take charge of credit card
Ordered trial of Acai Berry Product. I never received the trial. Called to complain and they simply said it was mailed. They did not cancel my recurring shipment, so I was surprised when i saw another charge on my credit card. They claim I never actually said I wanted to cancel so they kept up the order. Terrible customer service.

Advanced _ Acai Berry
Acai Berry obtained my financial information via one of those on-line "Win a Dell Computer" ads. I had provided the information for a DIFFERENT product, but somehow the site "leaked" that information from one vendor to the next. Acai Berry then went on to submit THREE FRAUDULENT charges against my credit card. Then I was subject to non-stop badgering from the outsourced call center; a telemarketer named "Christine" would call up to five times/night, refused to take me off their call list (I am listed on the DNC list). I determined who the carrier for their phone lines is (Level 3 Communications), contacted executives there, and complained of abuse of FCC (Federal Communications Commission) privileges. The next time Christine called, I threatened to approach the FCC to have their used of telecommunications investigated. I finally was routed to a call manager who gave the name Steve Sanchez. (The three people with whom I spoke had strong Latin or Hispanic accents, which makes me wonder if the "Weekhawken, NJ" Caller ID is a front for operations in another country. I explained to Steve what my experience had been and that I expected to hear from a principal from the telemarketing firm, at which point he hung up.
I would love to get these f*ckers. I have been significantly ill, and haven't had a peaceful evening in 30 days.
