Wish I would have READ HERE FIRST
Steer clear this company is nothing more than a scam! I just ordered tonight - wish I didn't! They are telling me that they can not cancel my order and I have to wait until I receive it in the mail to cancel. That was not posted in the terms and conditions! I have spoken with 2 people at 2 different numbers tonight and written 3 emails!

When I went to the BBB they have a grade of F and it states:

We strongly question the company’s reliability for reasons such as that they have failed to respond to complaints, their advertising is grossly misleading, they are not in compliance with the law’s licensing or registration requirements, their complaints contain especially serious allegations, or the company’s industry is known for its fraudulent business practices.

If it sounds too good to be true more than likely it is! I have a headache because I did not research prior to jumping at a free trial which is anything but FREE!!

Please do not make my mistake! I placed the 123rd complaint with the BBB tonight regarding this company and their ILLEGAL practices!

Acai
I ordered the sample of Acai berry. I was charged $78.81 on my check card, which created an overdraft fee of $35.00. They will not refund the overdraft amount and said that I have to return the sample of the Acai berry suplement. So this is going to end up costing me about $40 for nothing!

Difficult to Cancel Product order
I've called the Advanced Wellness Research number on three different occasions. On all three occasions the customer service staff was rude to say the least and when you ask for a supervisor, there is never one available. Funny, they didn't have a problem deducting $78.81 from my account for the product after I had "cancelled" my order (they gave me a confirmation number and everything) but they sure as hell are having a problem reversing the charge. Moreover, when you do call, the noise in the background makes me believe that they are farming out these calls to the Phillipines, as everyone I've spoken to has a Filipino accent. This reeks of internet scam and I am forwarding all their information to the Utah State Attorney General's Office as well as the BBB. This is wire fraud at its worst and it will be investigated and hopefully prosecuted.

Unauthorized billing
I signed up to receive a free sample of Acai Berries. Got those. Didn't read terms to realize I would receive berries each month. December 10th, money was taken from bank acct. so I called to stop membership on December 22nd. Berries were never received (was waiting on berries to call in so I could get return authorization number as well as cancel membership). December 23rd, more money was taken from my acct. One shipment of berries arrived on December 26th. Called in same date and was told computers were down. Called back December 29th and was told I could not be found in system by order #, name, phone number or email address. This is frustrating enough but everytime I call, reps have heavy accents and I have to tell them over and over what has happened because they don't understand English very well. Also, the back ground noise there makes it impossible to hear them. Sent emails complaining of this and was continually told to call in to resolve the matter! In addition to the money taken from my account, I received a bounced check fee when the second amount was taken out. I also had to cancel my debit card to ensure no more money would be taken out because I sure haven't gotten any resolution over the phone!

cancellation and billing
To Whom It May Concern,

I originally ordered your product, ACAIBERRY, on November 17, 2008 and per your advertisment, I was charged $4.99 on my credit card. I received 1 bottle of ACAIBERRY. I then called your company and requested my home delivery be cancelled. This was after talking to several customer service reps, who said time after time that your computer system was down and to either call back in 2 hours or call the next day, which I did for several days and kept getting the same answer. Also, since that time, I have been charged 4 more times and have not received anything from your company except for charges on my credit card.

Every time I call your company, I have been told that the computers are down, but that I will receive credit for the additional charges. This was told to me twice, Since that time, I have been charged again, 2 more times. Can you PLEASE cancel my home delivery and credit my account? Below are the dates and charges received.

11-17-2008 $4.99
11-28-2008 $78.81
12-18-2008 $83.80
12-23-2008 $78.81
01-21-2009 $83.80

The internet offer was $4.99 shipping only!!! And I did forget to cancel the order after a 10 day limit, so I don't mind absorbing the additional $78.81 charged to me on 11-28-2008, but for the additional 3 charges, after being told that it would be cancelled and my charges credited back to my account, I will dispute. That's a total of $246.41 that I have been charged additionally and NO PRODUCTS received.

Thank You for your cooperation and I hope you can rectify this situation.

They harass the customers. Don't buy from them!
I started filling out the form for a free trial for their Acai Berry slimming product. I put in my name, address and phone number and at the point where I had to type in my credit card number, I changed my mind (Thank God!). However, the next day I received about 30 calls from the company's telemarketing team, trying to convince me to buy their product. I told them every time that I am not interested and I wanted not to be called again, I even talked to the supervisor and she hung up when I started telling her that I am not interested. The phone calls continued.

I called Customer Service and they told me that there wasn't anything they could do because they were not in touch with the marketing department.

This company has no respect for customers, they try to rip you off and harass you! Don't buy from them! Don't even try to fill out the free trial form. They will get your information and will harass you!

I am among many who have found being ripped of by this companyl...How can we get out money back.. the number the bank give s us is NOT working...Buyer bewair...
If anyone knows how to get out money back or just who to call and contact PLEASE let us know.

Acai Berry
Ordered Acai Berry Supplement on Jan. 6, 2009. Received product on Jan. 10th. Called my Doctor to confirm safety of product and was told to steer clear!!!
I looked up The company's website to get their number and found the Complaints Board site. I began to read the "horror" stories about being charged and not getting thru. I read one complaint (from Wanda B.) which gave a number 266-484-2863 which actually is 866-484-2863. This is a Sunday night around 7:30 PM. I called the number and got right thru. The guy spoke very broken english, but, seemed to be helpful. Told to cancel -- he asked why -- I said Doctor's orders -- he said my account was cancelled -- I asked for RMA# -- he said not necessary; gave me the Idaho address to return product. I have yet to see if he was tell me the truth, I will follow up.
I suggest calling that number "OFF" hours to better chances. Also, maybe a man's voice makes a differnce... Get your spouse or male friend to call for you. Good Luck! CS
