Advanced Wellness Research Reviews

Fraud - theft
I started receiving unsolicited cosmetic products in the US mail. The packing slip indicated that my billing statement woul show as DRI 8668972464LiftSP. I was suspicious and immediately started researching for credit card account charges. I discovered that this company had made initial verification inquiry charge of $0.30 followed by three credits of ($0.30). On subsequent days charges appeared from AG Skin Care 800-5092105 $3.95, Clear Skin Plus 877-645-5352 GB $5.04, Capstardiet 914-368-2938 $6.01, and DRI 8668972464LiftSP 866-897-2464 MN $4.95. Today they made a verification inquiry from Paypal for $1.00, and a verification inquiry for Appleonline for $1.00.

I immediately cancelled this credit card and reported the company to the VISA fraud unit for followup. I was informed by VISA that the charges were originating in Israel.

I have never ordered products from this company.

nonrefund of returned product
I tried the free trial of their Acai Berry and didn't really see any results but decided to try it for a second month. When the third monthly supply came I decided to cancel my order and return the product. I called and got the required RMA, wrote that number on the package and also paid for a signature verification from the US postal service (someone at the receiving warehouse has to sign for the delivery). I thought they would credit my debit card but that has not happened YET and it's been since May. I have called and was told that they don't have my account on their computer but when I called to ask for the RMA and again to ask where was my refund the account was accessed by their employee but now they have no record. I have send them a copy of the USPS signature verification but they still have not refund my money. DON"T deal with this company - when you call to cancel they offer the same product for 60% less they what they automatically charge ($78.81 plus shipping) when you "try" their product. Stay away from this company they are cheats and refuse to refund your money if you send their products back.

charged and no refund
I ordered the Max Teeth Whitening Kit without thinking twice, and figured what could hurt when it said "free trial." Before I even recieved the package, I noticed I was charged $78.93 on my card. Once I recieved the package, I immediately shipped it back to their headquarters asking for a refund, I didn't even open the kit. They sent me a new kit a few days later, and I didn't even leave the Post Office before I mailed the package again. I paid both times for shipping. I have tried to call their number, but I am hard-of-hearing and I cannot hear very well on the phone. They were no help, and didn't sound professional. I don't know what to do, and I am disgusted with this whole situation. Life is not easy these days when it comes to $, I'm sure most of you know that. I am hoping someone can give me some good advice how to get that $78.93 back, which was hard earned money. Some of us don't make that much money in a day.

Unauthorized billing
I, like many others orderd a 14-day free trial of Pure Acai Berry, with the terms that no charges would be made to the dcredit card during this period. They caharged my credit card $78.81. I spoke to a representative and was promised a refund, which I did not receive. Now, they are telling me the trial period has passed and they are charging me. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau, The Federal Trade Commission, The Miami, Fl. Chamber of Commerce, the Fl. State Attorny General's office, and even Rachel Ray and Oprah, who are used in the company's advertising. I would suggest anyone with the same problems with Advanced Wellness Research contact the above government agencies about the illegal practices.

repeat billing
My story is much the same as many people here. I saw the endorsements and figured I'd do the discounted trial of the product. It didn't do what I wanted, so I sent it back. Several weeks later I received more of their product, so this time I returned it and got a proof of delivery receipt, which I still have. I figured problem solved. Imagine my surprise when I returned from a 4-week trip to find more Akai berry and another charge for $83.80. After several phone calls and a long email correspondence, which I still have and have sent to the Illinois Consumer Protection agency, they once again sent me more product and billed me again. (I had been asked to leave the account open so that they could refund the money. All the more fool me.) The only way to deal with these scam artists has been to cancel that credit card, which is a pain because I have several ethical companies that direct debit to it. Whenever I contact them, they barely speak English and somehow cannot find my account number, although they can always find it when it comes billing time! Their latest excuse is that, with the merger with Netalab, there seem to be some computer integration glitches. Like I say, there seem to be enough to prevent my refund, which I have requested at least 5 times now, but not enough to prevent them from billing me repeatedly.

Terrible experience
My experience is EXACTLY the same as everyone else has posted for this company and its "free trial" of Acai Berry. Can someone PLEASE tell me how to reach someone in this bogus company who can and will refund my money, or do anything about this? I do not want to talk to someone in India.

Scam charges
What a SCAM. Long story for me and still not over. In summary, I called and cancelled after the 15 days, my fault. I knew I was going to get the second shipment with a bill, that is how they get you right? The bill was $78.81. I called immediately to cancel and fought the charge - they gave me a $40 credit. BUT meanwhile, the India support person did not tell me they had already charged me a second fee of $83.80! I'm getting the same run around as everyone else. I filed a dispute and will also write to BBB, Oprah and Rachel Ray.

Scammed
Got SCAMMED from Advanced Wellness Research aka ‘Teeth Whitening Now’ I ordered a free trial teeth whitening via internet on 3/10/09 received the free trial on 3/14/09. When I called Advanced Wellness on 3/20/09 to cancel I was advised that the ‘new’ order was shipped out already and that I couldn’t cancel until product was received. (Duh the light bulb should have lite!!!) On 4/8/08 I received the product and called Advanced Wellness again to cancel the order, they advised me to send product back which I did that same day. They sent me an e-mail also on 4/8/08 stating the order was canceled. When I received my credit card statement the following charges from Advanced Wellness Research was on the bill: $6.99 (free trial shipping charge);$69.99; and$54.98. When I called the company on 4/20/09 I was given the ‘run-a-round’ first speaking to a ‘Kate Smith’ the floor manager then to ‘Bob Johnson’ the Senior Customer Service Manager, (The Middle Eastern accent was a dead give-a-way) both of which told me there was nothing they could do!!! I was forced to cancel my Macy’s Visa Credit Card so Advanced Wellness Research doesn’t keep charging me each and every month.

Unauthorized billing
My sweet husband failed to read the fine print and like thousands of others complaining on this site alone, was suckered into a subscription with this company that requires a cancelation within 14 days to prevent further charges. That's not the worst of it. I called and cancelled today, SIX days after my husband placed the initial order. Despite being told by the Advanced Wellness rep I spoke with that my subscription was cancelled and nothing further would be charged (other than the $4.99 already charged for the "free" trial) my debit card was charged just MINUTES after I hung up from cancelling the subscription!!! Again, this is only SIX days from the initial "free trial" period, not 14 days as advertised. I called and cancelled my debit card immediately and would suggest anyone who's given this company their debit/credit card info do the same!!!

Unauthorized charges
I received my initial product promptly. Then I found two additional charges to my credit card. For a total of $166.68. These people are scam artists. We have to stop them.
