Beware of hidden and extra costs
I am not going to elaborate too much as we wasted enough time on this fraudulent company! Also most of the complaints here seem to be similar. Over a month ago, my father had AereaSat install his DSTV extraview. When he called them, he was provided with a quotation of R2999. BUT after the technicians completed the installation, they wanted a whopping R7500!!! My father refused to pay this amount & they removed the dish, etc (dragging the dish on the roof tiles & stomping their feet hard, I'm sure they intended to damage the roof as 'revenge'). They had bad attitude & even refused to leave my father's house! Then my father communicated with Kim & after some more bad attitude & issues arising for this & that, it was eventually sorted out ALMOST 3 WEEKS LATER!!
I can't believe the type of service they deliver & how they are ripping people off! WHy give a specific quote, then charge exhorbitant prices after installation? That way we, as customers, are forced to pay because they already 'delivered the service'... the DISGUSTING, unacceptable service that they offer.

Every time it rains we get interrupted signal
On the 18th of June 2009, AEREA-SAT came to realign our dish because every time it rains we get interrupted signal. The cost was quoted to be R600, 00. They then told us we needed a longer pole and we initially requested a shorter pole. My husband, not being a satellite dish specialist, agreed to the longer pole at an additional cost of R600, 00. They guaranteed their work. It rained 3 days later and the signal was interrupted again. A long story short - AEREA-SAT have messed us around since then - they said our dish was cracked - they replaced it with a second hand dish, they have ignored our calls, made excuses and still nothing! We now have gone to the suppliers of the satellite dish, and were told that the length of the pole makes NO difference, the workmanship was shoddy and the dish they supplied us is secondhand. We are demanding our original pole back - but Kim just blatantly lies to us and gives us saleman pitches every time. The owner Peter 'someone' does not reply to any of the emails we send him concerning this matter and well we are just at wits end. We are hoping that the supplier - ELSAT will sort us out - but we have wasted R1000, 00 at AEREASAT!!!
