Prior to becoming active duty USAF 03/2008, I was a full time student at Howard University in Washington, DC. I could no longer afford to take out multiple loans so decided to enter into the military to help pay for school. I was placed into active duty deferrment with both Citibank and AES loan services. Upon graduation of my technical training (what my orders were extended t0 November 2008), I resubmitted my orders to both services to resume my deferrment. Citibank had no issues, I had multiple items of paperwork to fill out with AES which I was not notified of until May 2009. I have since faxed my orders and required paperwork MULTIPLE times to AES and have not received confirmation or deferrment of my request. Since originally sending the paperwork I have followed up 7-10 times and have been reported to multiple crediting agencies. I am now getting 3-5 calls a day and have finally mailed hard copies of the paperwork to them.
I would NEVER reccomend this company given the headache I have received. I was told that any credit reporting that occurred would be lifted and back dated to my orders. It is an inconveniece and additional strain to speak to different collection agencies pertaining to the issue.
