From 2001 thru June of 2006 I was commercially insured by Progressive. For all of these years they filled out the appropriate E forms required by the PA. PUC listing me as a Paratransit License Holder. Yet in May of 2006 they informed me they could now only insure me for unlicensed drivers. **My business was built on helping seniors and the drive away truck drivers, with an occasional person who had lost his license or could not get one**

Naturally this totally destroyed my business of self-employment.

I continued with a 'their best' personal policy beginning on the anniversary of my policy in June 2006.

On June 26, 2006, I was stopped for a left hand turn and was rear-ended by a man stating he was late for work and driving about 65 mph.

The policeman, the other driver, David Bradley, and I believed it was only rear end damage to my van and front end damage to his Jeep - the older kind with the pipe reinforced bumper. Add to this he struck my towbar first, bent the rear bumper into the two rear doors, destroyed the spare tire cover and the spare tire.

Since the officer had another accident involving bodily injury he left, never filling out a report.

I continued on my way from the intersection of Rte 562 and Meetinghouse Rd. Berks County, PA; however while driving I noticed the temperature guage and oil guage reading HOT. Stopped at a filling station, added water and oil and drove a couple of blocks further to my mechanic. Upon lifting the hood he had noted that I was hit so hard that it shifted the engine compartment breaking my fan shroud in three parts and punctured the radiator. On further investigation it was determined that it also shifted the rear main oil seal allowing all my oil to run all over the ground.

I waited for a rental car, and believing I was just a bit sore, proceeded to go to my family doctor, who prescribed some rest and muscle relaxers. This then proceeded to pain meds which then escalated into narcotic pain meds.

I was then sent to a specialized doctor dealing with muscles in the body. He determined that my right side muscles, in particular the quadratus lumboram were all in spasm. Again more narcotic pain meds and "shots" in the muscles addressed as having trigger points, my occipital lobe, and S. I. joint. I was also given physical therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic care, and advised to have Deep Tissue Manual Muscle Manipulation. **This was also advised by their own doctor from the Pottstown area. He even asked that should I not be getting better that he be allowed to see me again. Progressive refused this offer and permitted me to continue seeing Dr. Einsig, and have continued paying for my pain meds - BUT THE REFUSED TO PAY FOR THE DEEP TISSUE MANIPULATIONS STATING THEY WERE UNNECESSARY, AFTER THEY HAD AGREED TO PAY FOR THEM FOLLOWING AN 8 SESSION TRIAL TO SEE IF THEY WOULD WORK. (they had worked so well by the 8th session, that I was able to stop most of the pain meds)

For the next 2 and a half years they have REFUSED to pay for anything BUT the meds, stating that because of a problem they found with my employment and my wage loss portion of my insurance they were sending everything out for a review on Insurance Fraud and Theft by Deception! Which they have!

Since my muscles on the right side of my body when back into spasms, I have been in excruciating pain. I kept complaining to my doctor that there was something wrong that they were missing.

As having been a professional dancer and dance instructor I had injured mucsles before but they do not take this long to heal.

He got mad at me because Progressive refused to pay for the treatments he wanted to do to me, and he sent me to another doctor. **Actually he did me a big favor in this** because this doctor, Mike Ciaraco, D.O., listened to me and had my entire spinal column exrayed at an Osteopathic Hospital and reviewed by another Osteopath. It turns out that my 'pedical' between L4 and L5 is fractured and seperated on both sides of my spine. And due to the muscles staying in spasm for tehe extended years, they have contributed to misalignments in my cervical spine and thoracic spine. THESE PROBLEMS ARE NOW PERMANENT!! And, I am told that the pain is resulting from the pressure on my spinal nerves. I am still on narcotic pain meds (2 kinds), muscle relaxers, and anti-inflammatories.

My life has been compromised in so many ways I can't count them: Driving for more then 20 miles; sitting at a computor; reading a book in one position for any length of time; even walking my dogs and playing ball with them bring me constant pain. (I own a horse and used to ride for hours, hike with 2 hiking clubs up to 7 or 8 mile hikes effortlessly, and garden and do my own house painting, etc.)

I cannot do any of this without significant pain. I was told I could see a Neuro-Surgeon; or, try Physical Therapy - which I am now trying.

Very Painful and Very Scarey, as I live alone and have had my dog rescue for handicapped dogs or severely abused ones for many years, and am used to doing food purchases, etc. all by myself. "I hate asking for help from people with their own problems, and my small family has shrunk to 2 aunts in their 80's that depend on me for their help.

Progressive has had me arrested by our state's Attorney General claiming that the woman I was planning on doing sub-contracting animal care with, is a figmant of my immagination; as, the lady has since died. Since I am good with animals, this job was to begin in July of 2006 following Progressive's destruction of my self-employment business. **Before sending out any wage loss checks to me they had spoken with my prospective employer on several occasions. They had waited about 2 months before I saw any money at all**

They say I was paid about $23, 000.oo over a year and a half and they want it back now. Even if they set aside estimated income and took my ACTUAL self-employment records for the first half of the year, and the other job I attempted to do for a Courier Service that paid $150.oo per day for 5 days a week, they should still owe me money for my wage loss.

PLUS, because of the delay in NECESSARY treatments, I am only working part-time as a pet sitter and appointment accompanist, I am having difficulty making ends meet. I have income right now of less then $800.oo per month. Lucky that my home and car are paid for and I don't have cable tv or house phone; LIHEAP and BCAP help with heating oil, so I am barely squeaking by.

HOWEVER, my Trial is scheduled for November 6, 2009, and although they have kept me in a jail cell with bars of pain for 3 and a half years, now they are trying to actually incarsorate me.

I am putting my faith in Judge hearing the TRUTH between all the lies.

I am told that should I be found guilty I will then FORFEIT ALL MEDICAL TREATMENTS, and also forfeit the ability to purchase any kind of insurance in the future -

Instead of just destroying my business, they will then have also succeeded in destroying my entire life, along with several dogs that would have to be put to sleep, as noone wants dogs with problems or in their old age.

I was given a Public Defender, as I have no money for a paid for lawyer.

IN ADDITION;

while I was still insured by them, a city bus hit me while I was stopped on the street - the damage on the bus was red, yellow, and orange paint down its side **my sport pickup truck is dark green with black bumpers - and it was my bumper that was hit by the bus's front fender that showed black paint in about a two inch spot - yet THEY PAID the bus company over $8, 000.oo FOR THE SIDE DAMAGE TO THE BUS THAT NEVER TOUCHED MY TRUCK and put a $3, 000.oo surcharge on my policy blaming the accident on me - and never spoke to the witness, neither did the cop who showed up and spent all of 5 minutes to tell me I pulled into the bus (How does a truck move sideways?)

They also never paid me my deductable of $250.oo when an overhead garage door came down on my 1991 Chrysler 5th Ave., telling me that I hit the door in a building I had no business in: Funny, but they were Insuring Me Commercially for the job I was in process of doing - delivering groceries to a Senior Citizen - and since a 5th Ave. is NOT a helicopter, it does not fly straight up in the air.

STAY AWAY FROM PROGRESSIVE INSURANCE IN ANY WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM, you will be sorry, if you do not!!!
