Unprofessional
First and foremost the receptionist was completely inaccurate in every price she gave me. After the first visit she claimed my insurance only cover 80% of a filling. After investigating this with my insurance provider I found this to me inaccurate. My insurance provider did in fact cover 100% of fillings just as I suspected. Strike one. Secondly, after being told that my insurance would cover 100% of all the fillings, I was told after my first session that my insurance would be maxes out and that I would have to pay 49 dollars on my next visit. I agreed to pay even though I was misinformed. When I arrived for my next session, which was the next day, I was told that I needed 63 dollars because one of my cavities was bigger than they originally suspected, all though at this point I was getting very frustrated, I agreed again to pay. When I was brought back into the examination room I was informed yet again that there was going to be yet another additional charge because of the billing secretary missing a tooth. Will sitting in the chair the dentist said " well I can fill it or not, but it's going to cost more.". I asked what the additional charge was going to be trying to hide my frustration in fear of the dentist retaliating on me while drilling. The assistant informed me that it would be an additional 74 dollars. Reluctantly, I said go ahead. What choice did I have? After the procedure, which I found extremely unpleasant and rushed, I went to the waiting area for payment. After much deliberation between the two billing secretaries, they gave me a bill for 91 dollars which was yet again more that we had originally discussed! At this point I refused payment and informed the secretary that I would not be returning, nor would I be paying the 91 dollar charge. Beware of affordable dental in Dupo!
