I put a deposit down on a property I was interested in. The front desk said said I couldn't view the property for a whole month. I called Leon (the broker) and asked if I could see the property sooner because I needed to know if the rooms were going to be big enough and if not I had to look somewhere else. He said I am going to get you deposit back and I'm no longer doing business with you and I'm telling your mother. Yes he threatened to tell my mother who he has done business with in the past. He also said I put your application above solid ones and my application is not even complete. Just because who my family is. Sounds more like unfair housing. I said Leon I just want to make sure my bed is going to fit. He said forget it I'm done doing business with you. The next day the owner cliff called me saying I cannot refund your deposit but you can see the home. I seen the home and turns out everything was fine. I called cliff to let him know. Leon answered and said cliff doesn't want to deal with you. You need to deal with me. I said that is not going to happen because you acted unprofessional and said you were not dealing with me. He then threatened me by saying if you do not tell me the land lord can sue you if you decide to back out. I then said the apartment is fine but I'm afraid our relationship has took a wrong turn and due to the threats I think it's in my best interest to not do business with you. I said I want cliff to call me. He never did I left several messages. They stole 1000.00 dollars from me.
