Poor Service
Poor customer service is understatement.
You had better have lots of patience and too much time to deal with rude sales and service!

Fraud, Buyer Beware
Affordable Quality lighting is a fraud. I was scammed and researched them in preparation for my lawsuit.
--Real owner George Kalta indicted by the FBI. (Google George Kalta FBI to see for yourself).
-His nephew Hanni Michael Hanna worked for him and started his own company
doing the same scam (see sunriselights.com, sonriselighting.com and now socallighting.com)
-says they are a manufacturer and made in USA --reality they are an internet sales co that buys cheap Chinese products from an importer in LA (I have the name).
-Had 79 BBB complaints and a terrible reputation so they changed their name from consumerchoicelighting.com to contractorschoicelighting.com and now to affordablequalitylighting.com, each time to start with a new reputation.
-Every customer has to sign a 3 page FAXED contract after you pay for the sole purpose of taking away your rights to dispute credit card charges or sue. That's right in the Internet age-- you must have access to a fax machine to order from Affordable Quality Lighting.
-created fake consumerlightingreports.org website to make them look good. (And to bad mouth his nephew's competing scam).
-Affordable Quality Lighting spends ALL their money on Goggle Ad Words to get you to buy-- no money left over--like a PONZI SCHEME. No money left for service, quality, returns or anything--that's why a highly advertised co hangs up on you, swears at you and never refunds or allows returns.
-Says member of all these associations and shows all these badges on their website--all fake. I called first one listed, American Lighting Association and they said Affordable quality lighting is not a member. Affordable says "we never said we are members of those associations, the website says 'you can judge people by who they associate with', then listed many associations. It doesn't say Affordable Quality Lighting is a member or affiliated with them." How deceiving, and fraudulent.
-Testimonials--fake
-Lifetime warranty --worthless--read terms and conditions CAREFULLY -- covers essentially nothing. Entire terms are double talk.
-Building photoshopped to look twice as big and removed all their warnings signs. Real building is small, has barbed wire, fencing surrounding entire building, cameras and big signs all over it saying "smile your on CAMERA" to keep all the unhappy local customers away.
-Been in business 1 year 3 months as affordable quality lighting, more if you include the 3 different names -- but not even close to 34 years.
-If wish someone had told me. I assumed because they were always listed first in Paid Ad Words that they must be legitimate--after all who would go thru all that trouble for a scam operation--boy was I wrong. All the FBI WARNING, SCAM ALERT and strange sales tactics should have clued me in that there was something wrong with this co...
-Don't believe me? Do your own research, Google affordable quality lighting or George Kalta, read their own terms and conditions. Call and ask why you need a fax machine to order, look-up contractors choice lighting in BBB.org, buy one item first as a sample (oh forgot--they won't sell you less than $100 orders).
How Google or the Gov't allows this company to go on is unbelievable.

Sleazy Company, Cheap Product, Rude
I had a terrible experience with Affordable Quality Lighting. It took almost 1 month to get my order (3 1/2 weeks to be exact). When i'd call they were so rude that I tried to get my money back but they won't refund. The order finally arrived and did not ship with the bulbs I ordered (they denied that being possible and would not ship me the proper bulbs). 2 of the pathligh stems snapped at the threads when I was assembling them! So cheap! These were $49.99 copper path lights that look great on their internet site but are so cheaply made when you actually see and hold them. They refused to tkae the defective items back. I filled out their online form and waited...nothing. I called and they said you had to do it via the website. I did it again...waited...no reply. Finally after 2 months, I read their website and called the owners "cell phone" (which he lists and says y"I'm always availble and here to help all my customers" and left a message...no reply. Finally I gave up because I don't have the time to chase down crooks over $150.
All I can say is if you do not believe me read their terms and conditions and you'll see just how sleazy they are... First line says NO RESTOCKING FEES ...LIFETIME WARRANTEE...etc.. The when you keep reading a couple paragraphs later on the same page it says says 20% restocking fee, return shipping fee, etc...no returns on (then lists most of their items)...lifetime warrantee does NOT cover (and then lists about everything that could ever go wrong with a fixture). Appearently the lifetime warrantee essentially covers nothing except complete rust thru of a fixture! (i.e. not breaking or electric malfunctioning, or anything else. )--it's like a bogus car warrantee that only covers a rust hole in your car. The more details you read about their terms the more you see the sleazy details that only crooks would write. They don't plan on you reading their own verbose details until you try and return and can't.
I googled "affordable quality lighting complaints" and found tons of other unhappy people.
I also saw they created a fake website "consumerlightingreports.org" to make them look good--it's quite obvious its theirs as this site does not exist other than to list 4 bad companies plus them as the only good company, i.e. out of all the lighting, all the manufacturers, all the retailers this whole company called "consumerlightingreports" only has 1 page of information and its been the same information for the last 4 months? It also is written in the same language the Affordable Quality Lighting site, has no tel or address or whois look-up? But its linked to Affordable quality Lighting and Affordable quality Lighting is linked back? This fake consumer site pays money to be listed on google sponsored listings under the same keywords as affordable? Shameless. That sleazy tactic alone shows what kind of people you are dealing with.
Stay away, beware...and if you don't believe me google them. Note, in the same complaint areas I saw many similar complaints about Sunrise Lighting www.sunriselights.com as well as there appears to be some sort of realtionship between the two-can't tell if its same co or they both use same tactics.
