Fraudulent collections claim
Received $281 collection notice for a bill from Sprint. I have never had an account with Sprint or been associated with the company in any way.

false collection account
I had paid my Qwest phone bill off months ago when I switched over to my local cable company. That was in Jan. of 2011. I recieved a collection notice today the 14th of March, 2011. It claims that I owe Qwest $254.94, but they are willing to settle for half of that which is $127.47. In order to settle my account and that they would consider the matter paid in full.

Debt Collection
I continue to receive collection notices and settlement offer letters from Afni, Inc. for an unpaid bill to Verizon New York Inc. I've never lived or visited New York and have certainly never bought a cell phone from them. I've called Afni and the SSN they have on file is not mine so they obviously have the wrong person, yet they continue to harrass me.

COLLECTION ON NON-EXISTENT ACCOUNT
Received "attempt to collect a debt" letter from AFNI regarding a SPRINT account which I never had. I have NEVER had a SPRINT ACCOUNT.

Fraudulent debt collection
Received a collection notice from this company stating that we owed $94.82 to Qwest. I called Qwest and the account number Afni had listed wasn't even valid. When I called Afni to request a copy of the invoice they stated we owed, I got hung up on. DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY TO THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE FRAUDS!!!

without any warning or contact the AFNI, IN has place a negative information on my credit report, I tried to reach the company to find why was the negative information, I also tried to let them know that I was deployed to IRAQ and that I had just came back, but I didnt have any luck.

Wireless Cellular
I received a collections letter stating that I owe T-Mobile $690.04 and that I need to pay or else they will report me to the Credit Bureau. I knew immediately this was bogus because I have been a client of another wireless provider for the past more than 10 years and I have never been remissed on payment of bills. Should I even bother to respond to this?

Fraudulent billing
My 93 year old father received a collection notice today from Afni, Inc. It is for $868.45 for AT&T Mobility. First of all, my father has never had a cell phone and if he had one now he wouldn't know how to operate it at his age. I called AT&T and she said there was no account number, which was on the notice. She gave me a number for the fraud department and on Monday I will be calling them. I tried calling the Afni number, busy all the time as some of you stated. I am so glad that I looked up this website and found that this was a fraud..Why doesn't someone do something about this. Im sure there are some older people out there that just go ahead and pay this.
I had a similar problem a couple years ago when a phone company was charging my father for internet service. He wouldn't know how to turn a compuer on. They had been charging him for 11 months. They told me they would give him 3 months back. I told them that wasnt good enough and they wouldnt budge. I called our local tv station and they came to my house. Within 5 minutes of talking to the phone company they said they would send the 11 months charge to him. That mad me very happy.

Old Telephone Bill
Received a bill for $497.93 for a Verizon phone number from 1999. Never owed Verizon money from this number...account settled when we moved in 2000. This company also has access to our cell phones as they sent us a text message to our phones showing the amount owed. Unable to get a response by phone from Afni, Inc.
