I applied for a Cambodian maid at Agensi Pekerjaan Haz Sdn Bhd in September 2009 and I got her in November 2009, at first I thought that it's superb but... the maid I got has ZERO ability. I were told that she can communicate in basic English and then I found out that she can only say "NO". So, whatever I told her to do or ask if she understand, she will say NO. On her first day of work, I woke up 6:30am just to teach her how to do her daily chores; sweeping, mopping the floor (underneath the sofa and carpet) and some of the basic house chores.

The next day, I asked her to wipe the windows, wash clothes & iron clothes in the evening. I were there to guide her.

The following day, I taught her how to use the stove, so that she could cook instant noodles in the morning for her breakfast, everything turns out well.

The next day, she told me that we wanted to cook instant noodles for lunch and I was there to see how she used the stove. She forgot how to light up the stove, again I patiently cook for her. I told her not to touch the stove without my presence, just in case she blown up my house. I asked to have bread and butter for breakfast.

Next, I asked her to iron the clothes. Ironing was terrible eventhough I had taught her, she even iron my son's plastic bib!
(Some basic houseworks: sweeping, mopping, washing & ironing) she can't even cannot do it right.

Despite sending for back to the agency for training (3-4 days), she has a little improvement but the communication vice is still a problem. She seems not understand eventhough I used body language, whether in purpose or unintentionlly.

Then, I have no choice but the get an Indonesian maid for a replacement. At least communication not a matter. The application for replacement was done in mid-January 2010 and was told that it probably took 3-4 months. In April 2010, I called the check when the maid arrive, and was told that all documents were intact and have no problem, just pending the Indonesia Immigration.

Then in May 2010, I called again, the agent (Ms CK Yee) said that still pending response from the Indonesia Immigration. She said that she will speed up the process and by June, I may get my maid.

When nearer to the due date, I called and was told there was some problems with the maids' documents at the Indonesia Immigratio and the agent, Ms Yee asked whether I would like to take a Cambodian maid for replacement. I insisted I wanted Indonesian maid and she suggested that I choose Cambodian maid as she did not have many Indo maids on hand.

My questions here are "Can I get back my RM8k?" and "What can I do?" Please help.
