Buyer beware. I booked a hotel room at the Wyndham using booking.com believing it to be the official site of Wyndham. I received an acknowledgement promptly from Agoda ? with a booking.com booking number. The telephone/fax number was from outside the US.. An hour later I received another confirmation - this time with not one, but two confirmation numbers, both different from the first. One of them had a note which said - "Note to the hotel: allotment under booking.com reservation #...". It also stated a copy of the e-mail was to be presented to the hotel upon check in!!! Now suspicious, I called the Wyndham in question and they had no record of my reservation, by my name or any confirmation number. Further they had no idea who Agoda was. In the end I cancelled all dealing with Agoda and notified AMEX not to honor anyting from that company. The hotel was cooperative with me and I was able to establish reservations at the time and price desired.
