You receive an email from a guy who calls himself Ahmad Mansoor, who supposedly is an investment banker from Malaysia. He is proposing that you become a beneficiary of a large sum of money.

It’s a scam! Below is a copy of the email:

I am Ahmad Mansoor.I work as an investment banker here in malaysia .I am getting intouch with you as regards the estate of a deceased client of mine who comes from your country and an investment placed under our banks management 7 years ago.I would respectfully request that you keep the content of this mail confidential and respect the integrity of the information you come by as a result of this mail .I contact you independently and no one is informed of this communication .

In 2000, the subject matter came to our bank to engage in business discussions with our private banking division .He informed us that he had a financial portfolio of 18.35 million United State Dollars, which he wished to have us invest on his behalf.

Based on my advice, we spanned the money around various investment opportunities and made attractive margins for our first year of operation and accrued profits and interest stood at this point at over 6.5 million United State Dollars .In Mid 2002, he instructed that the principal sum (18.35M) be liquidated because he needed to make an urgent investment requiring cash payment here in Malaysia .
We put the money in our Gold account and it has been sitting there for the past 6years without it been claimed.On further enquiries we found out that the said client was involved in an accident in Mainland China, which means he died intestate.And all efforst to try and contact a next of kin has been futile and the reason i am writting you is because he comes from your country .What i propose is that since i have exclusive access to his file i can make you the beneficairy of these funds.My bank will contact you that the money has been willed to you .On verification, which will be the details i will make available to my bank, my bank will instruct the payment to you .You do not have to known him, I know this might be a bit heavy for you but please trust me on this.For all your troubles i propose 30% cut for your troubles for the total amount includng te interest it must have acrued over the years.In the banking circle this happens every time .The other option is that the money will reverted back to the apex
and it would be state funds by the end of the year.

Nobody is getting hurt; this is a lifetime opportunity for us .I hold the KEY to these funds, and as a Malaysian National we see so much cash and funds being re-assigned daily.I would want us to keep communication for now strictly by email and phone.Please, again note I am a family man ; I have a wife and children.I send you this mail not without a measure of fear as to the consequences, but I know within me that nothing ventured is nothing gained and that success and riches never come easy or on a plater of gold.This is the one truth I have learned from my private banking client .Do not betray my confidence, If we can be one of one accord, we should act swiftly on this.

First, I want you to open an account with my Bank so that I can credit this amount to you, before transferring the funds to an account you will nominate anywhere in the world.So I’ll like you to consider this an opportunity and I hope this will lead us upon fruition into doing more business together.
