My mortgage was orginally owned by Option One Mortgage co. Approx. 1 1/2 years ago AHMSI (AMEERICAN HOME MORTGAGE INC.) bought my mortgage ever since they had bought the mortgage there has been nothing but trouble w/ this company. My payments are not being credited on time, or are they credited properly. My monthly payment keeps changeing. Now I get non stop harrassing phone calls telling me that I am past due. I did not know how that would be possible finally I gave the csr a chance to explain why this was past due. They informed me that my monthly payment was increased several months ago I told that was not true because my statements still refelct on the payment that I have been makeing. Why would it go up in my taxes haven't gone up yet? I was then informed that it went up because they ran a credit report & they did not like my credit score so they increased it. I told them that was a fraudulant act because they can not do that, that I never signed a contract anywhere w/ anyone that it would be acceptable to do a credit check & if my score was lower then a certin # then I would agree to pay more money not to mention all contracts were signed w/ Option One & not them & I have a fixed rate not an adjustable rate. If it is true that I have a lower score ( I do need to look further into that ) it's only because I am having trouble making payments on time but they are never later then a week possibly two (only when the ins. payments for the cars & life come in @ the sametime on all my other bills not this one) when I did try to talk further to them they would give me the run around & or hang up on me. I did try to inform them that my husband had a heart attack last year & he was fired because of him haveing a heart attack & when he went back to work he took a cut in pay by 1/2. With the economy being so bad that my husband is a union construction work & keeps getting laid off due to no work out there. They told me let the house go into forclosure & then hang up. Not to mention none of the csr that I spoke w/ hardly spoke clear english. During the winter months when the ecomony crashed I tried to call to reafirm my loan (refinance) I was told that they have no more money so they no longer are lenders just debt collecters & it would be better to just let them forclose on my home. As of today's date the automated service told me that I only made 3/4 of a payment last month which is not true. Is this how a bus. is suppose to be ran is this what our world is comeing to? I am very concerned & very scard knowing that I will be going in for neck surgery & I will be laid up for months if it is succesful. I strongly advise anyone who is w/ this company to get away from them asap.
