Where have my paymnts gone
Again with this horrible company. Finally after 7 months we just mailed back our finalized paperwork for our modification. We have made all payments due and along with the packet of paperwork last week mailed in the payment for April. Monday I received a call from AHMSI, upon returning the call the gentleman told me he had no idea why someone from AHMSI would be calling me. No help. Today, Wednesday, I received another call. Upon returning it, the first time, I was told the reason for the calls was that I was in the collection dialer and TWO months behind on the mortgage!!! Unbelieveable, she wouldn't let me talk, told me to hold and I sat there for 20 minutes to then be transferred to a random vm. I hung up and called back, extremely irate to have the next person tell me that yes I was in the collections dialer but no I am not behind on the mortgage. When I asked him to stop the calls he told me I had to submit a letter via fax for that type of request! Are you kidding me??? I asked for a superviser, was put on lengthy hold AGAIN and AGAIN transferred to someones random vm!! THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS!!! THE ARE ABSOLUTE MORONS!!

I am over 65 and have had Dallas County Deferred Property Tax since 2005.
DCAD has reported my taxes delinquent for a second time, this time to AHMSI.
My previous mortgage company obtained a refund from DCAD and even apologized for the inconvenience that it caused.
AHMSI recently bought my mortgage. I had no choice in the matter. I wouldn't have chosen them as my mortgage company to begin with. So guess what they did?
Yep, they paid the taxes AGAIN, in spite of have the deferral affadavit on file. Now they are demanding payment in full or they will foreclose.
DCAD has agreed to refund three years and application for the remainder must be requested again. The time this is taking is giving AHMSI the time they need to play dirty. They have refused to credit my regular mortgage payments, stating the amount is not correct and they do not accept partial payments and that I need to pay the increased demanded amount and they will report my account as past due to the credit bureau's. I have never been late on my mortgage payments and am not now.
Today, I received a letter from AHMSI's henchfirm, Moss Codillis, LLP, threatening foreclosure. Phone calls tell me they are requesting refunds from DCAD, but in the meantime I have to pay the increased payment from $857.69 to $2319.43 a month.
I cannot pay a payment that high! My fixed income isn't that much per month. I have called and faxed to no avail.
This company is engaging in organized crime. They are preying on elderly/disabled homeowners by paying the deferred property taxes that DCAD reports to mortgage companies as delinquent, and then demanding payment from the homeowners. Most cannot afford the lump sum or increase in payments, and they know it!
Texas law allows deferrment of property taxes for over 65/disabled homeowners until they sell, move out, or die!
Yes, let's sue them in a class action lawsuit. I'm in! I am also going to contact DADS. the Dept for Aging and Disabled Services. Don't know if that will help, but I'm gonna try.
I have filed a complaint with the Texas Atty. General's office, but don't hold out much hope for that getting anywhere, as AHMSI's response was a bunch of legaleese crap. Basically, buying them more time to proceed.
I don't know what else to do. I feel totally helpless to be able to stop this company from raping and pillaging my home and life!
What can all of us do to make this company's management responsible and pay for what they are doing? You cannot tell me this is just "policy" and cannot be helped. There is always someone where the buck stops.
David Friedman is the CEO. Perhaps he needs to be sued personally in addition to shutting down this company and making them give back all the money and property they are stealing.
Where is justice these days?

Corrupt Practices
There are so many complaints here. We should all file complaints with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). I will spare you all the details of my own personal nightmare. Besides the class action suit which makes perfect sense, let's report these complaints to a higher authority - the FTC. Otherwise it's just noise that these crooks can simply tune out. Preditory loan modification
Green credit solutions took my money for loan modification with AHNSI and I ended up doing most
of the work myself. In the end I ended up with a modification that had a balloon
payment after 30 years that states I have to pay Option One/AHMSI the principal in
FULL $544, 000 plus interest and fees.
This was definatly preditory lending, when I asked for the name of the loan officer
that did my loan I was told they did not know. There was no explanation for the
reason this addendum was signed by a assistant secretary and not my load officer.
Something needs to be done about this, at the end of my life they can seize any
assets I have and I will have nothing to leave my daughter whom I a raising by
myself. I was with Specialized Loan Service, this was something in another loan from
American Home Mortgage (Option One) That is following me around. There was no
negotiating done regarding this “Balloon note addendum”
This company took my money and did not do any research and AHMS took advantage of
this. I want my money returned and I need a TRUE loan modification with no balloon
note addendum. Something has to be done about this.
AHMSI gave me a loan I was satified with then added an addendum that still gives them the house after i PAY for it.

FORECLOSURE
AHMSI foreclosed on my father in laws house on Feb 10, 2010 even after they told me there was no trustee sale date set and he was supposed to be reviewed for a loan modification. I am now trying to fight it out with them, because they are liars and I keep getting the run around. I am trying to put the pressure on them, filing complaint with any and every organization that might govern them. If anyone has any more inside phone numbers to AHMSI please post them. Im trying to reach any superiors there that will listen. If they did this to us, theyre doing it to others and will continue to do it.

making home affordable plan
I have been trying to refinance my house and keep it from going into foreclosure for not being able to afford property tax. I originally applied for a loan through this company and was told that taxes would be included. AFTER I received the loan and began making payments, I was told that the taxes were not included. I am a single mother of 3 children and was unable to keep up on this, barely able to make my payments. I do work full time and I try very hard. I applied in October for the Making Home Affordable Plan. At that time I was 2 months behind on my house (by December I had managed to catch up on that). In October, I faxed them everything that AMHSI requested and kept the copies. When I called a week later, they told me they did not receive some of the documents. I have a fax machine at work, so I resent the documents. Then they told me too much time had passed (2 weeks) and they needed new bank statements. I sent the bank statements, then called again. This time they told me that they never received the bank statements and that they also needed my pay stubs again. I sent both of these the same day. I again called and checked. They told me that I didn't need to send the bank statements in the first place, but that they still needed my pay stubs. I sent them again. Again, they did not receive my bank statements or pay stubs. I sent them again (I can access my paystubs from work computer and have fax). Then I call and they said they did receive these but now they needed a copy of all my bills. I told them I already sent that, she said, can you give me the info on the phone, so I did. I call to see why I haven't heard anything. They tell me they never received my copy of my bills (I had already sent and stated over phone), so I sent EVERYTHING in again. Then they said they never received my pay stubs (AGAIN). I have now made it a point to go to work and fax all my paperwork in on a daily basis. I just received a letter in the mail telling me that they never received my (2 most recent Consecutive Pay Stubs for all Borrowers-last week I sent my last 3 months paystubs in approximately 4 times in a day and received confirmation notices). It is now February. It has become apparent that they have no intention of processing my loan and this is fraudulent. In addition, AHMSI told me not to pay my late statements because it would be included on this "making home affordable" loan, so when I get my daily harrassing phone calls, I tell them this, and now I owe over 1000.00 in late fees "this is what THEY tell me, but they tell me something different nearly every time...I am also unsure if that includes this month's payment which is not late as of yet), but the fees are adding up. I offered to pay them at the time and was told not too for the first couple months by the individuals I spoke too on the telephone and now that the fees are so high, and I can't afford to pay them, I am being harrassed on a daily basis. In addition, I asked to speak with a supervisor and there was not one I was told. I asked for the number to speak directly with someone from the making home affordable plan instead of having to go through them and be harrassed about my late fees and having them not listen when I tell them why I can't pay and act like they don't hear me, and set up payments without my authorization on the wrong dates only to have them bounce and then I get charged, and they are soooo rude, but they told me there was no direct number for the making home affordable plan, and I had to go through them. I believed them unfortunately until today when I realized that there is absolutely nothing I can do to make this go through because they won't accept the papers, so I looked it up on the net to complain. Whola. I found the making home affordable website. I have never dealt with such a horrible company. I regret applying for this loan because it meant giving them my phone number so they could harrass me beginning on the very 1st day of each month when I am not late til the 16th. Also, when I told them they called me approximately 4 times per day, they insisted that wasn't true. It is. They have an automatic system which dials me up on my cell over and over. I gave them the number so that they would be able to get hold of me for this load modification, and that's the only reason. I never gave them the number prior to this. When and if this mess is complete and hopefully I am able to get this (now that I contacted the real making home affordable individuals), I plan on changing my number and giving them the number of the better business bureau, so that they can dial that one up repeatedly instead. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE TRULY FRAUDULENT, RUDE and DISHONEST IN EVERY WAY. Sincerely, Holly

Escrow Servicing
The servicing of my loan was transferred from TBW to AHMSI. I am a manager of a mortgage company and I have never seen such an unorganized, uncaring, unprofessional company. My current problem is that AHMSI has put mortgage insurance on my property. I sent them a letter, along with an appraisal perfromed when my loan was with TBW and my monthly mortgage statements from TBW showing I had mortgage insurance before the appraisal and I did not have mortgage insurance after the appraisal as the appraised value was high enough to warrant the removal of the MI. I also sent a letter to the Virginia State Corporation Commission, hoping they had regulation authority over AHMSI. My letters complained about AHMSI not paying my real estate taxes, not paying my homeowners insurance and charging me for private mortgage insurance when I had years ago paid for an appraisal and had the mortgage insurance dropped by the lender who originated my loan. AHSMI responded to the State Corporation and lied about paying my real estate taxes (they are yet to be paid as of 1/29), placing forced homeowners insurance on me and adding private mortgage insurance to my escrows. Ms. Baxter wrote back and said my loan-to-value was too high, which it wasn;t after the appraisal and she did not mention even seeing the appraisal or seeing the TBW statements showing that the private mortgage insurance was dropped long before they took over the loan.They have increased my monthly payments while they were guessing on what they were doing with the escrows on my loan and have yet to get my escrow account straight and drop the PMI. If anyone knows who I can contact to bring this to the media's attention and to get this resolved and who a regulatory body might be for this company please let me know. They ignore phone calls and faxes, the only response I could get acknowledging my concerns/complaints was when I wrote to SCC and then they lied and still did not carefully investigate my claim.

Refused payment, sent delinquent notice to credit bureau
This company is horrible. My husband and I have been in the process of refinancing our AHMSI loan through another company. Our loan close date was suppose to be DEC. 20, 09. I did not send my payment in on time, first time ever. When I did call to make the late payment, in order to prevent it from being 30 days late, The Indians would not except my payment, they wanted the next months payment also. I explained to them that we were in the process of paying it off through another lender. Unfortunately some other needed paper work was necessary. I tried to pay this late payment several times but with no luck. Therefore, AHMSI sent a 30 delinquent status to the credit bureau. I finally slipped a western union payment in on them. The problem now is that our new lender can not complete the new loan until the 30 day delinquent status is removed. This status is their fault, they would not except our payment. My husband has had perfect credit, upper 700's but now it is probably runt. I spoke with the foreign office people five times today. They do not care, they do not care that we are trying to pay this loan in full. I do not believe that they want us to pay it off, they want to continue to collect interest from us and I believe that is why they will not help us. They will not try to help us in any way. They are unconcerned and they would not give us any numbers to any one else that we could call about this ordeal. We did not ask for our loan to be sold to this foreign people, we cannot even understand half of what they are saying. If we cannot get this delinquent status removed by Friday, then we have to forfeit our new home equity loan from our local bank. This company has done us wrong.

Mortgage
The scam stops here! We are blowing the whistle! We have recently went through the remodification process too. We have been on this website and seen all the complaints. As well as Option One Mortgage complaints, who we also had before.
We are now having trouble with the remodification we did over 6 months ago. After we made 4 months of payments they are coming back with finance charges due to taxes that were suppose to be added in remodification loan.
WE HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH A VERY HIGH PROFILE LAWYER. He wants to take the case on with an associate of his. We wont to know if anyone wants to come aboard. (Be a name to plaintiff in the lawsuit). If so PLEASE e-mail us http:// [email protected].

Excessive Fees
Since the company hass changed hands I have had nothing but problems. I tried to get a loan modification and was told not to make any payments it would be tacked on the end of the loan. It took them more than five months because they wanted to pay my homeowners insurance instead of my taxes. The end result I didn't get the modification because I refused to sign papers for something I was already paying. The they started diverting small amounts of money from my principle for trumped up charges. I am really sick of them.
