Mortgage
Hello,

This is a horrible company. They tell you to send a certain amount for escrow that is due and you send it and they will not credit your monthly payment beacause they say that you are still short.

No one there understands anything and when you get a supervisor he does not understand anthing. They talk to you like you are stupid when you know they are stealing your money.

Can anything be done about this company? I am so feed up with them I send my mortgage on time every month and because they can not figure out the mess they made for themselves they want to say that I am late and charge me a late fee when my money is sitting not beginging credit to my account because of a mistake they have made. This is one company that really need to go out of business.

SCAMMING innocent people
My story all begins about 5 months ago when AHMSI had, in ERROR, issued an escrow for insurance on my loan (which 2 Customer Service Reps even admitted to) thus increasing my monthly payment by almost $200. I refused to pay it since I already had home owners insurance so I just continued to pay my usual monthly P&I amount. The CSR told me that an insurance escrow is placed on accounts that have either a lapse in insurance or discontinuation. There has NEVER been a lapse in nor a discontinuation of insurance EVER on my home. However, AHMSI issued an unnecessary, unwarranted insurance escrow on my account. Proof of insurance has been provided March 2009 from Liberty Mutual to AHMSI’s insurance dept. Once it was provided I was told the previous months insurance charge would be dropped. AHMSI’s insurance department have acknowledged receiving documentation as well as confirmed the fact that I have continuously maintained the same insurance for 7 years. I was instructed by a CSR to fax in a document stating I wanted the escrow canceled which I had done so on numerous occasions. However, AHMSI states they cannot discontinue the escrow until I have paid for the amount being billed for the insurance that was never needed in the first place. I find this to be a complete scam on AHMSI’s part. I have an impeccable credit score, I have always paid on time and because of their scamming ways (not allowing me to cancel the insurance escrow without paying for something that wasn't even needed in the first place) they are threatening me with a bankruptcy petition as well as reporting me to the credit agencies.

cases even worse than mine and oddly enough we were all former Chase customers. I'm trying to make sense of it all. They call my house and my cell everyday stalking payment for the insurance. Last week I spoke to a CSR (1 of the many) and I explained my story and say it was their error and that he was trying to resolve it but to give him a week. I stayed on the phone while he contacted his insurance dept to verify after he spoke to them he admitted error on their part and apologized profusely. Then I read online other people's stories were very similar to mine - "spoke to a CSR, trying to resolve, said it'd be about a week" and nothing was resolved. I am currently still in that "wait a week for something to be resolved" period. I hit the Better Business Bureau website and this company have received an "F" - amazing. What's more amazing is that no one is doing anything to stop this company. Innocent people are becoming victims of their scams... here's the link I read about them on consumer affairs. It's almost criminal what they are doing. I think someone needs to blow the lid off this company.

I think it's important to get the word out there about them. I have spent 4 solid months of phone calls, letters, faxes etc trying to resolve this issue. It's been exhausting, emotional and ulcer inducing.

A class action lawsuit is definitely in order for these clowns!!!

Monthly Mortgage Payments
It's nice that we have a site to complain about this incidious company, AHMSI, but does this get us anywhere? Since our mortage was "kidnapped" by this company our lives have been a living hell. We mail, overnight and send payments to this place each month and they lose our payments! THEN they make you wait over a month before they even attempt to look for it. Now, we've copied, faxed, called this place over and over and they treat us like scum! They won't help you and in the mean time THEY ruin our credit standing! Well, guess who will have to get it all straight with the credit bureau WHEN and IF they locate our payments...that's right, WE WILL. This is my suggestion as I'm about to have a nervous breakdown. This has not only happened once but twice! I even have proof of these payments!! File a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, you can do this online. Next, retain a lawyer. Sue these people for Mental Distress! I am just devistated, frustrated and exhausted. There is no reason why we have to be treated this way...in AMERICA!!! The Federal Government really must intervien and shut down these "Pirates". My husband and I have 2 other mortages with other companies and we NEVER have had any problems with them receiving our payments and crediting our accounts. We do need to make a stand and a very big impression. Please, all of AHMSI mortgage holders ARE being held hostage, when is our US Govt. going to help rescue us???? Extremely Disgusted!
I am extremely disgusted after dealing with AHMSI! I have been struggling to pay my mortgage due to my recent separation. I called AHMSI about their modification program. They were quite anxious to get me started in the process. I was able to pay $1, 200 of my mortgage at the time I called them. Two weeks later I had the rest of my mortgage payment. I tried to pay it 2 times and AHMSI kept returning it stating they never received it. I inquired at my bank and they told me AHMSI returned it for incorrect account number. My account number was not incorrect. They had received a payment the month before using the same exact information. I talked with several representives and each said to resend it. But it failed for the same reason again. I finally decided to pay it with the next month on line which would charge me a fee of $7.95. I couldn't pay my bill on lin either due to some error code 101. I call AHMSI up and they tell me I can no longer make payments on line because my account is under review for the modification program. I can only use western union over the phone or mail it in. OF course over the phone they charge a fee of $16.95. I inquired why my status of being in review had any bearance on how I paid my bill. Of course no reason could be given other then that is their procedure.
AHMSI just wants to nickel and dime the people who are already asking for help. They won't accept payments and state that they never received them to keep the $77.00 late fee going. I fought with their India rep and asked for a supervisor. She was no better then the rep. I asked for managers and of course they aren't available and when I asked for names and numbers they can't give out this information. What a joke! I can tell you they will be hearing from my lawyer. I refuse to be discriminated against and play this game!

RESPA AND TILA VIOLATIONS
The best way to fight these maniacs might be to hire a real estate attorney. Which is exactly what I am doing now! I was pre-approved for my modification and they sold my note the same day that I was pre-approved. It has been 3 months and AHMSI says that they have been waiting on my property tax information for 3 months and they can't do the modification without the information. When I told them that I could fax it - they declined and said that it has to come directly from the taxing authorities. So when I asked for the fax # to have the tax authorities fax it to - They said they couldn't geive me the information. Now I have found that all I need to do is to send a QWR "qualified written request". RESPA real estate laws demand that once I request this information they have to provide hundreds of hours of documents including every cancelled check that I ever sent them. This should make them deal with my modification and they are responsible for my attorney fees. Google Section 6 of RESPA under real estate settlement procedures act, 12 u.s.c. section 2605(e). They have 60 days to get all of this information to me and if one little thing is wrong then they can owe up to 3 times the amount of interest that I have paid for the last three years. Hope that this helps someone else, too!

HORRIBLE SERVICE
Are you feeling helpless, that you're getting no help or answers from AHMSI no matter what you do?? Citi Residential sold our mortgage to AHMSI in 02/'09. Since then they've processed my payments for 3 months that I've mailed with homemade statements, because they refuse to honor my request to send them each month, and they've with no explanation whatsover placed everything in SUSPENSE AND AM NOT REFLECTING ANYTHING BEING APPLIED TO PRIN., ESCROW, ETC., YET THEY HAVE MY MONEY!! I've never received a change in monthly payment amount so I simply have no choice to send them what my payment's always been, and now I'm fearing they may be trying to somehow not credit my account as it should be, possibly try to assess some type of fees and/or try to somehow make it so I'm unable to make a possible change in payment on a fixed note I have, AND WORSE SOMEHOW TRY TO TAKE MY HOME. So far, I've tried calling, writing, and there's nothing I'm able to do on my own about it but fail! It's like they don't care one bit about anything, so long as they get their money! SO... for all of you facing similar problems and/or other issues here's what I've done and suggest you do the same. WE HAVE TO BAND TOGETHER IF WE WANT TO STOP THESE UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES (if you're unsure of how to contact anyone below, simply do some online research and/or place phone calls to obtain the correct contact information.. After 3 months of getting absolutely nowhere with AHMSI I have...
1. Filed a complaint with my local Attorney General's Office.
2. Filed a complaint with the BBB.
3. Contacted Christine Sullivan (YES! AN AMERICAN for AHMSI) @ [email protected]
4. Filed a complaint with the FTC (Federal Trade Commission)
5. In the process of filing a complaint with HUD (check your local office for contact info. by websearch)
6. Submitted a news tip to Anderson Cooper & Ali Veshi @ www.cnn.com
7. Obtained my local media contact info. in the event AHMSI refuses to resolve my account issues within 2 weeks.
Yes, this is time consuming, however, if we want action we must ACT NOW & JOIN TOGETHER TO STOP AHMSI FROM WHAT THEY'RE DOING TO HONEST, INNOCENT VICTIMS LIKE OURSELVES!!

I am so very sad to see all of you with the same problems. We are hard working Americans just trying to make it all work. Friends... it is time to stop this company from this unethical behavior. Preditory loan modification
Requested a loan modification because they cut down on my husbands hour at work. AHMSI raised my payment by $300 plus added a large fee for doing the modification. I've tried to call to speak to someone and all I get is people from India that know only what they are told we have no one to talk to.

POOR CUSTOMER RELATION
THESE LAZY INCOMPETENT PEOPLE PURCHASED MY MORTGAGE FROM CITI CORP 4 MONTHS AGO. WHEN I WAS IN FORMED OF THIS PURCHASE I ASKED THAT THEY CONTINUE TO TAKE MY PAYMENT DIRECTLY OUY OF MY CHECKING ACCOUNT. THEY STILL HAVE NOT COMPLETED THIS SIMPLE TRANSACTION.
WHENEVER I CALL TO GET AN UPDATE THE OFFSHORE PEOPLE THEY HIRED END UP LOSSING THEIR COMPORURE, RAISE THEIR VOICES, AND THREATEN NOT TO ASSIST ME. THEY CONSISTANLY LIE ABOUT THE PROGRESS IN SETTING THIS UP, THEY BLAME THE US MAIL FOR NOT SEDING THEM MY 3 SEPERATE REQUESTS AND THEY CONTRADICT THEMSELVES DURING THE PHONE CALLS I HAVE MADE.
I HAVE CONTACTED SEVERAL SENATORS, SEVERAL CONGRESSMEN AND I WONDER WHO THEY REPRESENT BECAUSE THE DEMOCRATS REPLY IS THE PARTY LINE ABOUT THE ECONOMY IN GENERAL. THE REPUBLICS RESPONSE IS TO CONTACT THE COMPANY AND PUT ON MORE PRESSURE.
MY LOCAL CONGRESSMAN (REP.) TELLS ME TO CONTACT THE FTC.
WHEN I TELL AHMSI THIS THEY AGAIN GO OFF ON ME VERBALLY.
WHEN THEY PURCHASED MY MORTGAGE FROM CITI THEY ENDED UP TAKING THE FIRST PAYMENT ALMOST 2 WEEKS LATER AND CHARGING ME THE EXTRA 2 WEEKS OF INTEREST...THEY ARE CROOKS
