I have just spoken to a customer service agent at AIG NTL UNION FIRE & ACCIDENT INSURANCE regarding two charges to my credit card on 10/12/2010. ONE is for $9.95 the other is for $19.90. I did not order this insurance. They would not help me since I "could not verify the personal/security information". THIS WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO DO SINCE I AM NOT THE PERSON WHO IS ON THE ACCOUNT!!!
She just kept repeating that she could not help me since I could not verify any information. I asked to speak to someone with the authority to credit my account and explain to me what happend. She advised me that no one else was available (I'm afraid I don't believe that). But I gave her my name, address, and phone number so the Supervisor could call me back today.
THESE PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO GET AWAY WITH THIS. BESIDES MY BANK (which means I have to get a new credit card and notify many entities), WHO ELSE CAN I CONTACT TO GET THIS THEFT RESOLVED?
