To whom it may concern,
Traveled from New York to St.Lucia on August 20, 2006 and was missing a suitcase. I reported the matter to the lady in charges. A report was filed and submitted giving the necessary information needed and verified by a JP.
I received a letter on Nov. 8, 2007 acknowledging the receipt of my correspondence and an apology for my inconvenience. I submitted boarding coupons, boarding passes and other relevant information.
I also emailed the customer relations department who referred me to the customer service department. I also have been keeping in touch with the representative at Hewanorra Int. Airport who has been very helpful but my plea has not been addressed. I gave a costing as to the content of my luggage since I had gone shopping both in New York and in Houston, Texas, but to date I have not received a response to my request or submission. How absurd after nine (9) months.
Do I have to seek legal aid to get what is due to me, after having gone through this stress of shopping and the stress of missing luggage , the many phone calls, the numerous trips to the airport which involves valuable time. I have been quite patient (one of my qualities as a principal, but to a certain extent though). I am quite frustrated as a client of Air Jamaica and has thought otherwise of the personnels dealing with this area ,as I believe that clients feeling a are not taken into consideration. AUGUST 20, 2006 - only an acknowledgment of receipt of correspondence.
However, I look forward to a speedy response as I have an alternative plan in seeking redress to this issue. PATIENT, you will admit I have been.
