Sub: Compensation against mismanagement of Air Sahara staff
Sir,
I the undersigned Ms Shubra Dutta booked my ticket through Yatra for Flight No S2-306 for 21st June 2007 flying from Mumbai to Kolkata but unfortunately your flight for that evening was rescheduled for 21:35 hrs. I had to rebook for the morning direct Flight No S2-223, leaving Mumbai for Kolkata at 07:30 hrs which was confirmed to me through your services. I crossed checked and reconfirmed it over phone and they said it was confirmed for the 22nd morning for S2-223 morning 07:30 flight.
On reaching the Airport they took away my ticket saying that the flight was full and that I will have to board the other flight S2-227 which was at 07:20. I was hushed through the security check because of urgency and was forced to fly on S2 – 227 on 22nd of June 2007 at 07:20 hrs which is a hoping flight.
I had a meeting scheduled at the Oberoi Grand with Mrs. Sally Grossman from USA on the 22nd of June 2007 at 11:00 hrs regarding a shoot and I missed the opportunity as my flight took endless time to reach Kolkata landing at past 13:30pm.
Not only this, to my utter disappointment my luggage was also not there on the conveyor belt when the flight arrived. I waited and waited for my luggage to arrive but in vain. On checking with the Airport manager I was asked to contact the Air Sahara office where the staff was reluctant to do attend to any queries. I somehow went to the Air Sahara office and saw my Baggage lying there. On asking them they said it had arrived on the previous flight that I had my ticket for.
Don’t you think it would be courteous enough for them to come and attend to the guest flying to let them know that their baggage has come earlier?
I wasted some half an hour more in claiming my luggage.
Now who will compensate me for the loss of more than$5000/-that I have incurred.
I demand an answer for this.
Warmly.
Shubra.
