Wrong commitment given by a dealer
I was prepaid user of airtel. I got a call from airtel regarding 75 rental plan scheme saying that my airtel to airtel charges will be 15 paisa, any other mobile 50 paisa and STD rates will be 1 rs and rental will be 75. But after activation these guys gave me totally different plan of 150 rental airtel to airtel 1 rs other mobile 2 rs and STD rates will be 2.4 rs.

But when i did call to dealer she said that we didn't gave any commitment u can do what ever u want. So finally i have decided to go to Consumer Court.

The Person who gave me this plan is Suhana Shekh her no is 9892532883 her office is near lower parel mumbai. These guys really suckssssssssssss.

Fraud and cheating!
Myself Bhaskar Bhausaheb Unde, a Government Servant. I have bought Airtel Prepaid card under Government Sceame. According to the scheme, the rate of outgoing was 30 paise Airtel to Airtel and 10 paise to any other mobile in Maharastra. But from last 25 days they started charging me 25 paise Airtel to Airtel, and 50 paise to other mobile in Maharastra, which was not there in the scheme. Since no statement was there initially given for hike of the price, since cheated me for the same. After asking for the reason, from them, they told whether use it or throw it down the card. Also i told that many cards taken before me was not converted to price hike, they reply senseless answer. Airtel should maintain its reputation by keeping words given!!!

Deactivation of VAS Service problem
To: AIRTEL,

I am a Airtel Subscriber from more than 3 years and from more than 6 months I am facing very bad services from Airtel. The subject is I asked to activate Mobile Office on my mobile it took more than 2 days to activate, and as per TAT given is 6 hrs. Its OK!!!

And after using the services 4-5 days I Request to deactivate service and I got answers from agent is System is Down/or in upgradation, some time calls are not picked or kept on mute after picking up phone and I am doing this since 4 days I spoke with Mrudula(supervisor) Isak, Rina, Shailesh etc. so called customer care Associates first these guys don't have soft skill training how to speak with customer including supervisor and they are not maintaining customer call records to verify customer really called or not cause I got different answers from different Agents and my services are still active so who is going to pay this and headache given to me. You guys are responsible to my money and inconvenience I hope u'll take necessary action not for me but other Airtel Family Members.

Poor and unprofessional customer care staff
This was on 29 Apr 07, when I dialed 555 to retrieve my voice mail and got an regret message stating - cannot retrieve because i was out of city limits. Where as I was not. Hence I, for obvious reasons called up 121 - customer service, where i got to speak to Mr Ravi. This was at around 2000 hrs. He gave me an alternate no. of 9892098000, to retrieve my messages, adding that I need to keep voice mail activated on only one type of situation where as I had kept it on for two - unavailable and busy. The later part of his voluntary information I found totally distorted, as the same setting was kept even in earlier days and it worked. I hung up my mobile and dialed the no. given to me. Here I was asked for mobile password, which I had no clue about. Hence I again dialed 121, where I again got to speak to Ravi, where he told me to type "tpin" and send it as text sms to 121, which will then help me generate my password. Following his instructions, I did exactly same as I was guided to. But instead I received an sms stating sorry, "match not found." I called up again and got to speak to Javed. He totally non-cooperative, put me on hold and there i continued to be in. I hung up my call. I again tried what Ravi had told me to do, this time assuming I had heard 't' for 'p' or may be 'e' hence typed 'ppin' and even 'epin' and smsed to 121 but it just did not work. Frustrated, by now, I called up airtel once again, and got to speak to Javed again. After speaking to him, and before I could get my solution, my line was cut. I called up again, and again got Javed this time and again I was put on unending hold, when I told him that I wanted to speak to Ravi. I thought of trying one last time, and hence called up again - and this time got Sujata on line, and explained to her entire problem once again, as I had done before to Ravi and Javed and also told her about the solution Ravi gave that was not working out. Additionally asked her to put me through Ravi on line, else to their manager, when she too put me on a never ending hold.

That was it, when I decided to write a complaint against this. It's just not working out - the attitude of the staff, how ill informed they are... what are they doing there in customer care department when they cannot cater for customers complaint, else don't even know where to direct them or guide them, properly.

No gprs services in my home network
I purchased a prepaid connection of Airtel because i intended to use the edge advantage that airtel provides. I got my Mobile Office services activated and initially for one month the services worked fine. After that it stopped working in my home network of Kalyan {East} as a result i was unable to access my services on my home pc. when i used to move to other area i used to get GPRS connection on my handset.

Now for the last one and a half months my services in my home network is not working. I made numerous calls to the customer care only to be given one standard reply every time that i should wait for the next 72 hours and the services will be restored. Airtel without fail deducts Rs. 7/- per day and it has charged me more than Rs. 300 so far without giving me the services.

I can't understand whom i should approach to get my problem solved. Now as a last resort i feel that the best thing to do is to give up my airtel connection.

Airtel India's Number One Service Provider!!!

If this is Number One - God Save India :(

Migrating from Prepaid to Postpaid Plan: Glitches
We (my friend and me) got calls from one Himanshu Rana from Unique Marketing services ( Shop No.9, Rajnath Apartments, Near Shri Ram Mandir, 90 Feet Road, Bhayander East, Mumbai) to convert our prepaid plan to "VERTICAL 99"- a postpaid one. As the scheme was looking attractive, we purchased SIM (Worth Rs. 599/- each).

We filled up the forms and gave all the necessary documents asked by him om 02.02.07. He told that by Monday (05.02.07), we will get verification calls and after that our new SIM cards will get activated.

But, till date no verification call has come. When my friend and me contacted on the no. 9967821864 given by him, we got repeated reply that Himanshu is not available on the no. And when I told that I am registering a complaint on Airtel website, he said me that it will be of no avail, as he himself looks after these complaints.

Everyone, beware!
