Poor service!
I am based in bangalore and have Airtel Broadband connection. I have shifted my place and asked for transfer for the same. First day Airtel people told me it will not take more than 1 week for transfer as they have looked at new place. They told me it is feasible and can be done within 1 week. However Shifting was not done in 1 week, after 1 week I asked them they said it will be done within next week. This one week next week has become now more than 2 month and from airtel anyone xyz calling me and asking (threating) me to cancel the line.
I feel Airtel people has hires GOONDA like banks to talk to customer and when one asked them about these GOONDA, they say they do not know about them.
It is sort state of of a company rum by a Good business man called Mr Mittal.
Please be careful if you want to go for airtel connection in near future!

Poor service!
I have a broadband connection of airtel in commercial use category and applied for static IP no. on dt. 11.08.2007, but till date inspite of repeated telephonic requests, no action taken by the service providers!!!

Misrepresentation of facts: service yax
I have recently signed up for a broadband scheme with Airtel for Rs 1,999 per month. After all installation and activation was done, I got a call from an Airtel representative the next day telling me that this amount of 1,999 is exclusive of service tax @12.36%. I was furious and wrote to Airtel stating that this clause:
1. Is not mentioned on their website where the product is advertised, not even in fine print
2. Is not on the brochure handed out to me by the guy who signed me up.
3. Was not even mentioned verbally at the time of sign-up.
I got a call today from the rep telling me that "it is always like this" (that service tax is extra). I am willing to buy that because when I sign up, I am watching what it will cost me per month; in this case, it's not Rs 1,999 but Rs 2,247. This should be told upfront and not left as a vague, ambiguous clause.
If a consumer is not specifically told that charges are exclusive of tax, they will do right to conclude that tax is included in the charges quoted to them.
This will go to consumer court, and I will keep you guys posted.

Airtel Arizona is not Airtel India!
I am the owner of Airtel Broadband in Arizona. We are in no way tied to Airtel in India. If you Google "Airtel Broadband Phoenix" there is mention of Roosevelt Square Appartments in Phoenix. This links you to a number of complaints about Airtel Broadband which is the Airtel in India. None of these are in regard to my business.
My AirTEL Broadband is Arizona based. Our name is registered with the State of Arizona. Regrettably there is no way to get something off of Google to correct misleading information.

Non functioning of the modem, no response
I have complained on 26th June 2007 regarding the non-functioning of the modem and there is no response w.r.t same for more than a week. It is thoroughly disgusting on how their customer service works where its just sweet talk and no work. Thoroughly disgusting!

Cheating consumer providing misleading information
I was using Airtel Broadband connection for some time until i decided to disconnect it. So i went to Airtel Office here in Sector 14 Gurgaon and asked to block the connection. I also confirmed about any hidden or explicit charges for the same. I was very clearly answers that there would be no charges. My respite was broken when i received a bill of Rs. 500 saying that my connection is still i active mode and has not been disconnected yet as your request was not executed. Then again i sent a mail to block the connection but a bill for 15 days was again generated on the pretext that my request was processed lately due to a backlog of mails on Airtel Server. The Collection Dep. guy called me up asking the reason for leaving the connection. I answered him about the dubious bills generated and misleading info delivered. He promised a waiver of some amount with the condition that i will resume the connection after 2 months. But the connection was resumed after 1 month without a prior notice of information regarding the same which allured an extra sum of rupees 500 again without using the internet or the telephone. GUYS BEWARE OF THESE AIRTEL GUYS WHEN THEY DISCONNECT YOUR CONNECTIONS BECAUSE THEY TRY TO HARASS AND EXPLOIT THE CONSUMERS. BUT DONT LOOSE HOPE FIGHT FOR YOUR JUSTICE THE CONSUMER COURT STANDS RIGHT UP IN YOUR CITY. FILE A CASE AND YOU CAN GET A RESPITE HOPEFULLY UNLESS THE LUCK IS TOO BAD.

Poor service, irresponsible people
I am using Airtel broadband service since a year. During this period, I never came across a situation when I found the internet service is good. Till date I never got bandwidth as per the broadband plan.
One of the worst thing in airtel broadband services is its customer care. I have never seen such an irresponsible department. Every time different version for the same problem is given. I remember recent incident, I came to know that I am paying money for a particular plan which I have never requested.
There is no way we can escalate these highly (unprofessional) mistakes to their seniors.
Airtel must take serious measure to improve the service if they want to retain valuable subscriber.

Did not get clear response
I have been going to Airtel for the Broadband connection and i have already spoke to many of their executives what they do is they take my contact number and address and they never call me back or give an response. Suppose if i speak to any higher authorities they say that they cant give service to my area they say that maximum load is exceeded i really dont know what is load? Atleast they did not bother to explain me about this load problem.

4211 2345 the number given for complaints is not responding. Many trials and press this , press that... and then the line goes dead.

Connection is not working
It has been over a week, and with 2 complaints already logged to Airtel Customer care, my broadband 512Kbps connection just does not work. There is 50% packet loss. The first complaint was surreptitiously closed and on my checking up, they unapologetically informed me that the complaint has been closed, so we will log another one. When will it be resolved... it will get resolved within 2 days is the standard reply. Now I know how it gets resolved. I have been suffering for one week with virtually no service at all and they care too hoot about it. No wonder AIRTEL SUCKS.
