server down
the airtel broadband wasent what it usd to be. their server has been down 5-6 times in this month. resulting in 4 day internet crash at first, then 2-4 hours each time. if you call them their no. is always busy or you have to wait plenty of minutes. airtel experiences a great reputation in broadband companies. it doesent suits them to behave like a govermental departement.

Plan Migration
Dear Sir(s),

This is regarding my request for change of plan from 512 kbps to 4 mbps via request number 34895454. Here is the

chronology of the case:

10-July- Logged the request# 34895454 for change of plan. I was told that this will be done by 15-July
14-July - I got a call on my cellphone from Airtel, informing me that plan has been migrated and I can check the

bandwidth increase by switching off and on the modem. As I was at work at that time, so did checked this during

evening, but bandwidth was still 512 kbps only.
15-July - I called up 121 and spoke to Veer Vikram Singh and he told me that this wil be done in 24 hours, i.e. on

16-July
16-July - I called up 121 and was told that this wil be done in 24 hours, i.e. on 17-July
Since then I have been calling up 121 daily (except for Sunday) and each time the agent and their supervisors (Mr

Anwar, Gaurav, Bharat and today Ms Aarti and Amrita) are giving this 24 hours resolution assurance each day. So,

from 14th July onwards I am getting this 24 hour resolution assurance and this has been shifting each day.

I am sure, that all these are mere assurances and nobody is actively looking at my service request and that is why

it is not getting out of this eternal 24 hour cycle.

I have been an Airtel customer since 2001 (for my mobile), and my interactions regarding my mobile phone account

have always been good. But this broadband issue has been a very bad experience to me.

Request your help in early resolution of the same.

I am in Greater Noida within Delhi NCR region.

this is nisha govindharajan d/o of govindharajan, actually we were using theRs. 899 unlimited plan, but now without any prior information my plan has been changed to the rupees 250 limited connection plan and i want it changed to the former plan and my bills changed as per the old plan . I am not liable to pay the amount for the new scheme for the last month and i am kindly requesting you to change the bills .If we are asked to pay the bills for the old scheme or if this persists we would prefer to remove the internet connection.

Wrong Bill and Fraud from Airtel
Hi,
I am a tortured customer of Airtel Broad Band service, with landline number 8040989760.
They have given me all false promises all of their customer care executives are big liars
and just know how to waste time of customer and send me all fraud wrong bills of 2652Rs.
I had raised so many Complaint numbers but none of them were taken care of and i have to keep going
to the Airtel office every week stand in queue for over one hour, again they take a new complaint number and nothing, absolutely
nothing they do .

First Fraud was when i took the Airtel Broad Band connection of Plan 598Rson and i had also paid installation charges of 1000Rs. first week of April, 2010.
It was told to me by the Customer care Executive named Mahabaleshwar(cell no 9741399436).He lied to me saying that
this plan has got unlimited browsing but 3GB download free.Later after two days i got a calll from another custmer care executive saying that
no the browsing will be charged.That was the first Point of Lie.Then i told them that this is not fair cause this was not communicated to me.
Then this another customer care exec. said no problem we can move your plan to 799 in another 3 working days i said its fine, but nothing happened.
My Plan was not moved to 799 which was unlimited browsing and unlimited Download.Again i called up customer care to check if they changed the Plan they promised me
that they will call me by weekend (11 April, 2010) but no call came.Like this they kept extending till the month end and by April end, they did not send me the Bill cause i had raised the
Complaint s against Airtel:-
1)Complaint Number 31696062 on 17th April raised for Billing Problem, as they had till mid of month not moved my Plan, which
was a violation of waht they said and complete Fraud.
2)Complaint Number 32467080 raised on 8Th of May again for Billing.
3)Complaint number 32531526 raised on 10Th may for giving wrong commitment again from customer care named Rakesh(landline no 080 32531526).
4)Complaint Number 33800428 that was done on 12Th June.

All this while they just kept troubling me, without resolving my issues and i had to keep going to Airtel office every saturday, to talk to them
again and again about the same issue and they say they cant do anything, so they transfer me to some other person in the Airtel Office
and they say they have to get in touch with their backend team, which never ever takes care of any complaints.

Then i asked them to disconnect as i do not want to use airtel any more they lied saying that they will make everything fine and give me another
Plan for 499 with 1Mbps speed.Still they never stick to what they said.

After getting much pissed from airtel i asked them to send their people to come and collect their devices in the montho of May(2nd may) but nobody came.
Again they lied .Nothing happened.So much of carelessness from their side and.

I had complained and told them that i do not want to use airtel from month of may itself but they didnt take care.and had given cancellation request long time back
to customer care executives via phone.but nothing happened.Hence on 17Th may i had to go to Airtel office again whicjh i am very much
used to now as they do not care for customers at all and they gave me a Cancellation request of 351994 Number.on 17th May.
And finally on 12Th june i had to myslef go and submit the Airtel modem, and Phone and all cables to Airtel office.

Hence for entire May month i had not used airtel services at all still they have sent me a cumulative bill of 2652Rs.
Though for the monthof April i had hardly used internet for 15days that too just 1 or 2 hours .with not huge download.
Then how can i get a Bill of 2652 Rs for absolutely no usage.

Infact one of the customer care executive also told me that i will have to pay 800 Rs and stick tpo 499 Plan that they promised me but again
nothing was done.That was just another Lie.Ans now i am geeting the Bill of 2652Rs, though one Customer care named Chaithra(cell no. 9845118904) promised me that she will get back to me wih
the information and i wont have to pay this wrong bill.
Basically i need my 200 Rs back from them as i had alreday paid installation charge of 1000, so they should deduct my usage charge of 800 and give me back my money.
But instead what they are doing is, they keep sending the bills of 2652Rs though they have to actually give me back my money.

I have went and complained several times but nothing, no action they take.Please take strong acation against them for inconvenience
caused to Airtel customers like this and for them being so careless on their part.Its an absolute crime.

Calling all CITIZENS OF INDIA WHO ARE CHEATED/DEFRAUDED BY AIRTEL

While we applaud Mr.Infant Dinesh for his bold initiative, my heart goes out to the rural folks AND other lesser mortals who otherwise won’t have any clue to the “gullible” marketing techniques of Private operators like Airtel. The sections in which the cases are registered by the Chennai Suburban Police shows the seriousness of the case, as I whistle-blowed couple of weeks ago, after hearing the language against Airtel, posted in various online forums by all of you.
Can we do together and make Airtel kneel-down and pay-up? Shall we have people volunteering from each state to file a police case and others following up with their complaints based on the Infant Dinesh model? Concentrate on VAS related frauds, they are huge, we found after a research. It’s against the LAW, charging without customer’ consent. Hence the police are taking it seriously and are looking at more evidence.
To start with Kindly email your complaint against Airtel to [email protected] or [email protected] with subject Airtel. Write in brief a) Your basic details-Account or phone no, b) Your complaint c)Response from Airtel d) Quantify the tangible losses e) What are the intangible losses – Like losing connection, time waste, mental torture etc., , if possible quantify that as well.
People in Chennai please contact Mr.Infant Dinesh @ 98413 14812(Folks, he’s an advocate as well) or myself @ 98410 47174 RIGHT NOW. With you, together, we’ll be meeting the Police Commissioner next week as per plan for the next steps.

Fooling customers by flasely saying thats internet speed has been upgraded
Why is Airtel fooling its customers by falsely telling customers through SMS service that it has upgraded broadband speed without any additional charges. On 13th April 2010 i received a msg from AX-Airtel saying "As a constant endevour to delight our valued customers, we at airtel have increased your broadband spped to 512 kbps without addtional charges. " After regestering a complian that why broadband speed has not increased, I get a reply from customer care that "We will increase your speed in several months and we have not mentioned any date to increase the speed as such!!"

Airtel is big no no for me from now on! Such sad politics they play to cheat people just because BSNL has increased speed to all its customers!

Shifting Not Done
Hi,

I have requested to shift my Airtel Connection (01204552503) from my Old Address to New Address on 1st of April'10 and still I didn't found anything to be going fine. Nothing have been done till date. I have called customer care at 121 and found that the status updated against my number is that I don't have address proof, infact I got a call from executive that he will be coming for the address proof and nobody came to collect any document, beside that there is other update done that wiring is done, but this is all bullshit and fake update, no wiring have been done till date.

It's been 7 long days and no progress is seen, I am really afraid of the Airtel Services, I have already taken off the Airtel Connection of my office because of the Bad Service and commitment but if still this goes on, I need to take out my this personal connection too...

I talked to a person personally who came for audit from airtel, he told me that sir, this is some other company who is handling this installation, so we cannot do anything, you have to wait till they come, we cannot say the timings.

I can suggest Airtel to take care of such employees, for such a bad response who are really making such a bad impression...

Tall Empty Promises on free Upgrade from 1 Mbps to 2 Mbps with a Rs. 100 Add-on !
Telephone companies are the second biggest scammers after the worldwide Pharmaceutical Fraud.

I am on a Freedom 1699 1 Mbps Unlimited plan since December 2009. First off was one bitter ordeal to get the lousy/ unbelievably sloppy Airtel personnel to get my line up and running and they set me on a wild goose chase for two weeks after they took my money & finally activated my connection (several calls and threats later) !! I had promised my overseas clients that I had everything in place with the transit and I would be online within 5 business days maximum and these unprofessional morons made me lose my face right in the beginning only to add Insult to Injury !

An executive from Bangalore called me on the 8th of March 2010 with an exciting new offer. "Sir we are happy to give out a new offer you are eligible for double broadband speed at a measly add-on of Rs. 100 and you get to make calls for the same amount local or STD and you will get 2 Mbps from your present 1 Mbps speed within 7 days if you opt for this upgrade." To which I said Yes, Please do ! And the caller said my speed would be upgraded in 7 working days maximum.(today is the 20th of March ! )

On the 11th of March 2010, I received an SMS that said "Pay just Rs. 100 per month and double your Airtel Broadband speed from 1 MBPS to 2 MBPS. Also get free call value worth Rs. 100. SMS DELIGHT to 53636 to activate (Sender AX-Airtel- 17:17:19 - 03/11/2010) which I opted in and right away and received a confirmation that said

"Thank you for subscribing to Airtel DELIGHT Offer. The offer will be activated and you can enjoy the benefits within 96 hours - Team Airtel at 17:29:13 the same day March 11th 2010.

I called up 121 to confirm the same and the call center executive said it would be done within the time frame that was promised earlier on and i would be billed on a prorata basis.

I again called up Airtel customer service this morning to let them know that the upgrade is yet to take effect after 12 days i.e., 288 hours later & the call center guy gave me a complaint # 30677688 and confirmed that the new plan has been upgraded at their end on the 17th and i could expect the 2Mbps speed in a day or two maximum. I get a call at 4 p.m. today and the gentleman says "Sir you had requested for an upgrade to 2Mbps unfortunately that offer has ended and you are not be eligible for this offer !!

Now Do they think we are a bunch of Retards ?? I for one never asked for this upgrade, they solicited only to turn out to be Snake-Oil Salemen two weeks later ! This is totally unacceptable and downright obnoxious !

I am posting this just to skin these wolves in sheep's clothing alive ! I for one have vowed to take these unethical marketing devils to task ! I urge every single broadband customer that has been lured with such misleading fake promises.

I will post in all the consumer redressal forums that are out there and annihilate this telephone/broadband operator and won't ever quit until they eat their words and upgrade my account to the promised bandwith without delay ~! The sooner the better or I will be forced to destroy the goodwill factor in the market place by starting a storm of a bone crusher campaign against this blessed company AirTel !! Thank you !
