Fraud from online sales team
Hi,
I had airtel DTH (SD) and I wanted to upgrade to HD DTH. I sent SMS on 12th July 2011 regarding upgrade and immediately I got a call from this number 022- 41304100 mentioning they're from Airtel Sales Team and told they received request for HD upgrade. They gave me details of package, and I was told to make a payment of Rs.2250/. for HD Upgrade. They insisted that I can make payment only through IVR using credit card and I agreed for the same.
I made a payment of Rs.2250/. on 12th July 2011 using Standard Chartered Bank with reference # 19410035844 through IVR.
Even after 2 days I didnt get new setop box (HD). When I called the Airtel customer care, they informed that they've received only Rs.2000/.
I told them that I made payment of Rs.2250/. I was informed that they received Recharge request through a dealer and Airtel received only Rs.2000/. They have generated a complaint regarding this and the complaint # is 10054956 on 16th July 2011.
I checked internet and saw many complaints regarding call received from 022-41304100 and wanted to know if this is genuine airtel sales team / dealer / fraud.
Also what happened to Rs.250 (Rs.2250 payment I made - Rs.2000 what Airtel received)?
Airtel is telling they can't provide installation until they receive Rs.250 more as payment for HD.

pathetic and disgusting service
I had purchased the ultra pack and i m eligible to watch all the channels. But most of the channels i m not able to view. I registered a complain regarding this on 11/6/2011. I was told that the sattelite of airtel has changed and my dish needs to be realigned. I was assured that within 5 days a technician will visit and solve the problem. Yesterday i.e on 15/06/2011 i called customer care as nobody had visted my house to solve the problem. I was assured that today an engineer will call me in morning and before 12 pm my problem will b solved. But those were just false promises made by irresponsible customer care executives. I called up customer care again n now i m assured that it will b done tommorrow. I dont belive their words now. I askd for your mobile no but i was given your local no. which was continuosly busy for hours altogather suggesting that its meant to harrass customers only. I m very frustrated at the kind of treatment meted out to me.
I want to disconnect the connection and want the refund as i have paid for the whole year in advance. I want to install tatasky as i hav very good reviews about their service. Kindly do the needful to get me my hard earned money back. I would like to add that if my request is not heard this time i will leave no stone unturned to get legal justice. I also want to be compensated for the days i hav not been able to watch the remaining channels.
Also i want this money latest by tommorrow as my family is tv addict and i need to buy other dth service.

Non Installation after online payment
I have did a payment for a new DTH connection on 6th June. and told them that on weekdays i cannot install kindly do it on saturdays and sundays. They committed the time of 11.00am and now since morning they have been delaying for 1hr and till now they have not come to install. I am a consistent customer of Airtel. I have Airtels Net, their DTH and booked a new DTH... It is really very painful if such treatment is given.

Credit card company said they have approved payment.
I got an SMS from ICICI credit card as soon as payment was done.
they are not able to trace the payment.
Recommend everyone not to buy Airtel DTH
I was buying airtel addon allready have a HD box.
I gave disconnection request for both.

No Post Sales Response
My customer id is 3000067858. I had requested for one of the Kids channel on 13th-14th May 2011. The channel didnt appear on my TV. I called up customer mentioning my problem and got a response that the dish needs to be re-alligned and the same will be done by the Airtel engineer in next few days and no complaint ID was given to me for the same.
On 25th May 2011 I called customer care and requested a complaint id (Complaint ID 8348018) as no resolution was provided and I was informed by the executive that the issue will be fixed in maximum 5 days time. I followed up the customer care on 29th (Complaint ID 8491625 May 29th 2011)
Till 30th May 2011 the issue remained unresolved and to my surprise I received a message the the resolution is provided to the complaint id 8348018 and the call was closed.
I immediately called up customer care and informed that the issue is still unresolved and received an assurance the resolution will be provided by 4 PM next day. Again there was no one to fix the issue.
On 1st June I talked to a senior executive (Shashank Kumar - Interaction ID 153547875) and conveyed my dissatisfaction for the kind of response I received from an esteemed organisation like Airtel. He assured me that the resolution will be provided by 2nd June 2011.
Till date the issue remains open and I belive that the quality of service of Airtel has dropped considerably.

BAD SERVICE
due to bad service of airtel dth, it is very inconvient for the people who are using airtel digital. it usually remains off even if we have recharged it. from the last 5 days, it is not working. we have also called the customer care but no steps have been taken by them.

Refund Not Coming
We purchased a SONY Bravia LED TV and were delighted to get Airtel DTH connection “Free” with it. Airtel provided us Customer ID No.3007869756 and advised us to deposit Rs.1000.00 "activation fee". That we did on 11th May through a retailer at Pitampura vide transaction No.130509597062. This transaction number was communicated to Airtel customer care same day over phone. After verifying TV model and serial number Airtel gave us booking No. 15705387 and informed us that installation will be done on 13th May between 10 to 11AM. No body turned up during the appointed hour. We called Airtel customer care at 11.20AM and were asked to wait another 2 hours. We wasted entire day waiting for Airtel people in vain. We waited another 3 days and on 17th May lodged a complaint with Airtel via email and asked for refund of the activation charges paid by us. No response came and we sent another mail on 18th May to which they replied and asked to update our contact numbers ( although our contact numbers were available with them). We emailed our contact numbers to Airtel promptly. We got another mail telling us that their team is working on the complaint and matter will be resolved. Between 18th to 20th May we received 3 telephone calls from Airtel people and each caller asked for our customer ID, transaction number for Rs.1000.00 paid by us but nothing concrete has been done by Airtel so far. We sent another mail to Airtel on 21st May to which no reply has been given by them. It is crystal clear from behaviour of Airtel that they have no intention of giving refund. Airtel has not only cheated us of Rs.1000 they have also wasted our precious time and given us mental agony that can not be calculated in terms money.

settop box not delivered and money charged for it

I had bought a additional set top box by paying the payment via ivr transation id on 6/5/2011:14942611
I was told that the new settop box will be installed within 24 hrs and there will be no charge for the cable or anything.
It has been 4 days and i have called to multiple ppl in airtel all they say is that they do not see my account updated with the second box even when i have paid and i have given them the transation ids.
I tried calling many times and when i asked for the supervisor most of the times i was put on hold and then call was disconnected.
No one has bothered to give a call back . Even sending mails do not help.
they have already charged 1000 rs from my credit card and now they say that there system does not show that i bought a new connection even when i am giving them transation id

NO RESPONCE ON THE COMPLAINT
I AM NITIN GARG CUSTOMER ID 3001471626, I HAVE LAUNCHED A COMPLAINT OF SET TOP BOX NOT WORKING ON 17/4/11 (COMPLAINT NO 7042567) FOR SET TOP BOX NOT WORKING. GOT A VISIT OF ENGINEER ON SAME DAY AND I WAS TOLD THAT AIRTEL IS SHORT OF SET TOP BOX AND DONT KNOW MUCH TIME IT WILL TAKE TO REPLACE.

GOT A CALL FROM 011-46867900 ON 26TH APRIL (12:50 PM), 2ND MAY 5:25 PM, 4TH MAY (9:17 AM, 5:44 PM), 7TH MAY 11:38 AM AND ALWAYS TOLD ABOUT MY PROBLEM THAT IT IS NOT BEEN RESOLVED TILL TODAY.
ON 3RD MAY EVEN GOT A CALL FROM 044- 45921600AND TOLD THEM THE SAME THING.
AT LAST AFTER SUCH A LONG FOLLOWUP MY BOX WAS WORKING AFTER 21 DAYS.SO I AM REALLY THANKFULL TO AIRTEL FOR THE ABOVE SERVICES EXTENT TO ME.
THANKS ONCE AGAIN FOR SUCH A GOOD SERVICE TO ME.
