ECS processed even after surrendering the connections!
I am one of the ill-fated customers who availed the services of Airtel and I regret having taken their mobile services.

I had take two numbers 98407-59492 and 98407-59491. I had opted for ECS for bill payment.

To my shock I see my bank statement, I am still being debited even after surrendering my connection. I have got a confirmation for the same. Still I am being debited. Even after complaining, I have not got any reply from them yet.

The worst part is that I am on a overseas assignment and I can't do anything but to watch my account being debited month after month. But, I will definitely go to the consumer court will all the evidences and make things worse for them once I return to India.

Customer service sucks
I wanted change my rate plan, for that i called customer care, they said i need to send a mail with rate plan N my office id proof to 121@airtel India, i did that they replied they will get back to me 24 hrs, they dint i send again again n again 25 mails but they never bothered to get back to me, N everytime i called up they said "don't worry sir, u just need to send a mail N thats it,it will done", finally after a month they send me a bill with my same rate plan, when i called up reported that, non of the executes were ready to take responsibility n said we will arrange a callback from managers, non of the managers bothered to call, i reported this 20th of nov, N i used to call everyday day N they use to commit me that they will call me next day N they never, finally i was totally fed up, N i walked to customer care (divya shree towers, Bangalore), i spoke to mr. aswin at the airtel office, told him everything, he said me sorry many times N committed me that they will change my rate plan N give the discounted N were every sorry that this happened. Again tis been 14 days today i haven't received even a single call, i keep calling Mr.Ashwin everyday N he as different stories to tell me everyday. I am seriously fed up of airtels sucked service, i never thought airtel as such an sick service. i have 5 connections in my name from airtel n give them a business of 10,000 every month i get back this, it as almost taken 2 months to change the rate plan N solve my problems N i still have no solution. I would serious recommend people to not to go for airtel. IT SUCKS!

Harassment of consumers by all mobile phone cos
Dear fellow harassed mobile users.

Please make a request to TELECOM REGULATORY AUTHORITY OF INDIA (TRAI) to implement 'NUMBER PORTABILITY' rule. By this rule's implementation millions of mobile users will be spared from daily harassment by mobile cos. This rule says that a mobile user may change a service provider while not surrendering or losing his current cell number. It means you will keep your current number even if you leave your current service provider and take services of other service provider.

You know the main reason for all mobile cos to keep harassing consumers is that they know that a customer would not risk losing or surrendering of his current number. They know this woul cause a lot of inconvenience to them and would result in loss of business to them.Thus they take advantage of it and keep harassing customers.

But once they know that consumer can leave them without the fear of losing his number, you'll see drastic changes in their services.

So my request to all mobile phone users all over India is to go to TRAI site and make request regarding immediate implementation of NUMBER POTABILITY rule. Your each one's request is going to make a difference and would one day result in liberation of consumers from the shackle of mobile cos.

So just do it.

I am a mobile phone customer. I face continuous harassment from my service provider. I request you to implement NUMBER PORTABILITY immediately so that all harassed users can change their service provider without the fear of losing their cell number.

Customer care representative not reachable
I am an Airtel pre paid customer availing services from the past 2 years. Airtel is supposed to be one of the best service providers in Karnataka. But off late, i feel it is heading towards being the worst.

Few weeks back, i received a msg saying a recharge of Rs 120 would avail me full talktime with zero validity period. I recharged my cell with 120 Rs but the validity expired almost within a week of my recharge. I still had 110 Rs in my cell. What had happened i assume was, my previous recharge of Rs 460 was taken into consideration and the validity on that recharge was taken into account and my phone was temporarily disconnected. I had no clue as to what had happened. I knew that it was just another trick of Airtel. What irked me most was the fact that there is no bloody way to contact Airtel Customer representative and sort out the issue. I tried numbers 9845098450, 121, 123 but there is no CLEAR, PROPER option to talk to the CSR!

Outgoing calls barred in 2 weeks of the connection activation!
I don't understand why my outgoing calls are barred for my mobile numbers without intimating the customer on this and of no valid reason. The required address usually is done and it was cleared.

On calling customer care, explaining the situation was of no use. According to customer care the outgoing calls were barred due to address verification being wrong which is updated after 10 days of verification with by the person and intimating me its not a problem. After speaking to the supervisor of airtel customer care at chennai, it was pathetic and of no use. They asked me to goto the nearest airtel outlet to follow the procedure to activate outgoing calls.

Of all, the database update done after address verification was incorrect which was confirmed by the agency who provided corporate connection. The agency also claims that the third party verification done by airtel always causes problem to the customer.

Airtel being such a big telecom provider in india, don't understand how can they have such a bad service and staff who are not concerned with clients needs.

Lost my 6000 rs, cheated by Airtel Executive
My name is Sheetal Rane, I have taken a Post paid connection in Airtel Bangalore. I visited to Airtel Banarkatta (Bangalore) office to make the payment and to request to keep my number in custody for 3 months Since I was going out of India. I have made the payment of 6000 rs included bill and custody charges for three months.

The executive gave me a receipt but asked me to call and confirm after two days. Since I was not in India to call customer care he gave me his name and number. From Canada I called him, in first call he told me that he have not paid the bill and recollect the payment after coming to India. After coming to India I am calling him, but now he is disconnecting my all calls.

I have registered this complaint in Airtel, they are not taking an action since that guy is Airtel executive.

I lost my 5900 rs. I have discussed in my network, I found many people who got cheated by Aitel in different way. Many people are crying because of these cheats.

High unbilled amount
I have an Airtel postpaid connection in the name of Sridhar Balasubramanian. I had sent a mail regarding my unbilled amount to Airtel, for which I have got no response. I have taken Ambuja 249 plan. My number is activated from November 3, 2006 and the unbilled amount till November 10, 2006 was Rs. 37.80, seeing which I was shocked, because I have not made any calls for that amount. I was told by Mr. Sheik Javed, agent of Airtel, from whom I got the connection, that all local calls to any mobile would cost me 30p per minute and local calls to landline will cost 80p per minute, first 125 minutes of STD will be charged at 50p per minute, and 125 SMS (local and national) free for each month. It is impossible with this plan to get such an unbilled amount. I had sent mail to Airtel on Friday regarding the same and till today, there is no response for my complaint. I checked my unbilled amount again today and it shows it is Rs. 45.65. For your information, to check the reliability, I HAVE NOT MADE ANY CALLS from Friday. I wonder how this could happen. Do you people charge for incoming calls also? Do you people charge for not using the connection also? Do you people charge for calling 121 or messaging 121?????This is ridiculous, unbelievable, pathetic. I would like to hear an early response from you. After considering all other mobile connections, I decided to go with Airtel for the service they provide. But now, I am in a thought that I made a wrong decision. As a business person, I have got many other important works and I cannot go on complaining again and again for this. I want to know the exact billing amount now. If at all I have made calls for that amount, I want to know all the numbers I have called with their respective call duration and call charges. I would like an earliest reply. I wish you understand the situation and address my grievance swiftly.

Please let me know if any clarifications are required in this regard.

Free fly tickets
I am post paid customer of Airtel India. I have opted 499 previelage plan. Air ticket for free was offered. I paid registration rs 500 extra, but still waitting for tickets... can i go to consumer court?

Charging of rental
I had asked Airtel to disconnect my add on Sim card in the month of June. They did not disconnect and kept sending me rental bills of the same.Unfortunately I had asked for billing of both my numbers i.e primary and add on on the same bill. I refused to pay for the rental on the number that had been requested for disconnection.
Its been 5 months since giving this request I am still getting charged rental for that SIM.
On 3 occasions they have barred outgoing calls on my main number for reasons of non payment whereas I have proof that I have paid the amount in full on time for this number.
Instead of disconnecting the other number they keep disc my main number.
Currently my phone has been disconnected for the 3 rd time with no redressal of my grievance so far.
The customer care lot is a pathetice bunch,just to name a few Vaibhav, Thyagraj Moin, Vijaya Nrmala, G Balasubramanyam. The above are the people I have spoken to in length without any result.

Customer care executives are not responding
Respected authority , I am a customer of airtel and using the connection of airtel since last one year and i call to customer care when i want to know about the new offers and for that they restricted me to call customer care and now my number is blocked and i cannot able to call customer care since last 3 months and i am complaining for this again and again after they are telling that yes we will do that within 72 hours and still 3 month passed they still not activated the service . If i am using airtel and i couldnot able to call customer care then it will worth less for me to take connection fron such service provider and recently on dated 7th of november i activated a services named tunie talk but now i cannot able to deactivated that.
So i request you for proper justice if any action can be took palce then i will be thankful to you .
