Poor service!
My phone no is 9810750764.before coming to the UK (10-15 days) i had called the airtel helpdesk to cancel my a/c . I was told to submit my bill and give an application to the person who comes for the payment collection. I did that! Just before coming i called up to confirm that if its been canceled or not. They said they haven't got my application and they kept on charging me. I received a bill which i didn't want to pay as its was not my fault that nobody listened to me, but i still paid it as people were calling my home and harassing my family members... threatening them!!! Which is awful really!

Harassment by Airtel telecaller
My below mail to airtel zonal officer explains all...

Hi Sir,

sub: Sexual abuse by a Airtel telecaller.
note: This mail is meant for the Chennai zonal officer because the telecaller spoke(abused) in tamil.

Here is the complaint i posted in a forum.
Please be patient in reading this and advise your telecallers be polite to customers, especially when they call NON CUSTOMERS by mistake.

They are wrongly advised to collect the money by any means i guess.
This wrong advise by some low level officers will spoil the entire organisation's reputation.


I too would like the Airtel to grow like a giant to have a balance with other competitors.. but now the arrogance showed by your telecaller gave me a bad image of Airtel.

I got a call from a telecaller on 27/sep/2007

She was asking me about the payment of bill for some airtel number(which is not mine)

I told her that i don't know anything about that number.
She started scolding like hell. I used at most abusive language like

"You can earn money with going to man and pay bill"
"You can sell your baby to pay the bill"

etc


This is a horrible call i got.

I decided to RECORD THE CALL next time and report it to cyber crime police.

It is shame on Airtel to have such telecallers on board.Is this the way the collect money?

Oh my god i never will go for Airtel and allow my friends and family too to go with them.


I am sending this link to the nodal officer of airtel in Tamil Nadu(Chennai). Let us see what he do for solving it.

I believe you take this seriously and act on this. I could have come out of this problem simply by giving a complaint in the cyber crime and left it there. Why i am writing you is, i want this company to grow and serve people. That doesn't happen when you have telecallers who use sexually abusive languages to a non-customer too.

Airtel is not carrying the customer complaints
I got an Airtel Mobile HCL CUG on 20/07/2007.

Today my mobile is disconnected, and then I called customer care.

They told me that due to verification process failure my mobile service was disconnected.

I have the following question with Airtel

Why Airtel is not having the courtesy to inform the customer before disconnect the service?

If the verification process is failed why there is no update to the customer immediate?

Can Airtel bear the loss due to this disconnection?

Last month Aug 30 they disconnected my service for the same reason, after my compliant they activated. I am residing same address for more than 2 years I got a bill for 2 months and some more products updates brochures from Airtel for the same address.

I have no debts with Airtel till now.

So i am planning to quit Airtel

Fraud and cheating!
I had taken Airtel Prepaid connection from UNIVERSAL INDIA, T D K Road , Alwarpet, Chennai- 18. After submitting all the necessary documents 9940691420 was allotted to me on 25 August2007. After uninterrupted service for 3 days, it has been debarred. Even after informing about it to the Airtel Department no action ras been taken by them till now to restart the services.

Airtel service Station should take necessary actions against the complains of their customers. This shows the inefficiency of their services.

Fraud and cheating!
My no. is 9890778626. I have procured a Corporate connection from Airtel a week before in pune. But after a week my outgoing facility has been deactivated. Reasons are unknown. When I talked to customer care they say my documents have not reached but i have submitted the documents to the Airtel person on the same day sitting in the company premises.

Beware of this fraud!

Poor service!
There has been problem of network resulting into call drops and voice breaking for last one and a half month. I have talked and registered complaints with thousand of customer care executives and there managers but to no effect. As they always tell that they have not received any feed back from their technical team. Don't know where to escalate the complaint. There has been not even a single call back on this issues which is being promised everytime i make a complaint with a deadline of 72/48/24/4 hours. I am totally disturbed with Airtel and their customer care!!!

Multiple deduction of GPRS charge!
My mobile service provider is Airtel India. In last month, on 29-08-07, double of monthly GPRS charge was deducted from my account balance. I lodged complaint on 03-09-07. Customer Care service assured me to solve my complaint within 72 hours. But even after lapse of 10 days, my balance has not been credited. I talked to Customer Care 6 to 7 times, but at every occasion, they take 24 hours / 72 hours time. I suspect that they are killing time. The worst service!!!

Harassing calls!
I have got the airtel post paid connection at Kochi, Kerala, India. I frequently get prerecorded tel calls from airtel. Many times the calls comes when I am something important. It is most irritating and offensive. I not only hate the company for this but they do not realize that the message is also in a language not known to me!

Customer service sucks ******!
I never had any problem with your service overall even though its expensive but its really a nightmare contacting your customer care, i really avoid talking or even calling your toll free numbers. 1)The IVR which you guys have, it doesn't have any easy way to speak to the representative directly and now the VOICE SYSTEM that you have introduced it SUCKS badly, i speak the same exact word again eg CUSTOMER CARE your system doesn't recognize it and it hungs up on me.2)And above all when i m connected after a a lot of hard work the agent of your company puts the cal on hold and disconnects after some time. I wanted airtel live service on my cell from last 10 months now the issue never got resolved and after all the worst exp. which i had with your company (Customer care)i was pissed off and i never called back... Please ensure customer satisfaction otherwise me and my family will switch over to HUTCH as their Cust service is good. But we don't want to do that as we like airtel. And i m not blaming anyone, just putting forward my suggestion thats it. TO IMPLEMENT OR NT IS YOUR WISH ENTIRELY.

Disconnection of service without understanding the customer!
Bharti Management must review their payment collection systems. Seven days prior i.e. on 31st or same time I activated my international roaming as I was traveling to US. Yesterday middle on night some lady from Airtel called me I told me pay my phone bill immediately as I was told that my bill is Rs. 10000. I told her I am US and will arrange to pay the bill. Next morning I was surprised too see that my phone services were disconnected. I am regular payer and pay my bills in time. Inspite checking my payment records and history of defaults the action taken by airtel is inappropriate and puts me in great difficulty as I was for official business trip and need to reach people in US and my family back home...

The point is I didn't expect disconnection would happen just on the whims of call center operators and one must see the profile and background history of customer... The present system looks very efficient in disconnection but without understanding what customer is saying and without studying his profile...

Beware of AirTel!
