We are very much disappoint with the services provided by Airtel
We had applied for an IPTV connection on our Airtel Number 41630018 dated
29/10/2009.
Premium pack - Migration on our existing plan. Monthly charges Rs.399/-. Airtel
Executives extended the cable to our TV and installed the IPTV.
We had surprised to see our first billing after the installation of the IPTV,
for the period 26/11/2009 to 25/12/2009 the total billing was 10555.45/- in
this our normal calling charges Rs. 3472/- and Rs. 7082.95 was billed against
our TV usage.
We contacted Airtel executives, and they sent one executive to check the
connection. The executive Mr. Pawan visited the premises on 12/01/2010 and
told, our modem installed was wrong, the setting has to be changed, he made
some settings in the modem. As per Mr. Pawan, when ever the modem switch on the
DSL counting start. without switching on the modem you cannot watch TV. The
first executive installed the modem in a wrong way. That is the reason for
wrong billing. His Service report stating the same.
Again next billing also have some additional charges for DSL usage. Rs.
2334.55/-. We had contacted so many Executives- (Had mentioned in our
conversations) also visited Okhla Office and shown our records and concerns.
All the executives accepted the mistake and promised for waiver. Later they
told the billing department rejected our request and didnt gave complete
waiver. As per billing department "DSL usage has happened in our premises, we
had used the internet on this line". We clearly clarify them following.
1. The IPTV is directly connected to my TV.
2. We cannot connect that modem to our computers.
3. We have another airtel connection with 2MB speed 20 GB downloading capacity
in same premises. And three computers directly connected to server
for using applications and printing. We are using this line for a long time
(almost 5 years)
4. The DSL had been activated in this disputed number for almost 2 years and we never used the
internet as we have another high speed unlimited usage connection.
5. After the Airtel executives (Mr.Pawan) visit ( 12/01/2010) the DSL charges
never occurred on this number.
6. Airtel is asking IPTV charges Rs. 10000/- for one month.
After this wrong billing, we were getting harassment calls from various
departments every day more than three times. We had complained so many times,
but never get justice. Airtel dont have the decency to study the issue and
solve for ever. Instead they disconnecting outgoing calls.
We were paying our monthly usage charges very regularly on or before the due
date. Still Airtel is disconnecting the outgoing calls.
We had given request to cancel this number for several time due to this kind
harassment, during that time some Airtel executive calls and promise the waiver
and continue the service. Again it disconnect then Airtel executives tell, the
waiver request not approved so connection barred. We were using this line for a
long time and given this number to so many relatives in India and abroad. Now
we understood the Airtel services so activated the another number for our
calls.
On 26th Oct 2010 the airtel executives Mr. Anil - 9871369235, Mr. Amit
-9910346585, 46578379, confirmed the waiver and taken Rs. 300/-. on 28th the
line started and got confirmation of waiver from Ms. Sunita from Airtel
(41758875) - On Saturday again our line got disconnected saying the same
story, the waiver request not confirmed. Without confirming the details Airtel
is collecting Cash from customers - wrong promise and cheating.
During the last 10 months we explained the details to almost 100 people and
almost 50 mails. All the executives understood the actual problem but the
approval has to come from higher authority and they never concern about
customer. They are checking their records and taking decision blindly without a
proper verification or checking.
