My Airtel mobile connection no. is 9871473174. I spent a couple of hours on official site of Airtel to choose my favorite song to set as my caller tune. After finalizing on a particular song, I made an attempt to activate subject service through SMS by following steps narrated in their site. However, in their reply message it is said that “There is no such songs in our database”...surprising. But, what is most irritating is that Airtel was quick to deduct Rs. 6/SMS for every failed attempt. It may also be noted that there is no violation of procedure on the part of this customer for qualifying an attempt a failure.
Imagine the amount of lost time due to irresponsible and unethical practices of the corporate body, let alone the money wasted. Ten such attempts from a poor customer would drain Rs. 60/- from his balance. Customer care is also equally irresponsible for narrating a procedure (but incomprehensible) contrary to what is suggested in their official site.
