Airtel Call Home Plan
Hi this is to complaint about the Airtelcallhome service..i tried it for last three times and all the time i had some or the other issues with it...firts time I was not able to call a particular mobile number using this service..next time my balance suddenly disapperaed and they manage to put it back after 2 days..this time i have topped £10 and for the last 2 days i was not able to make call because it says 'balance is exhausted'.. raised this issue with the Airtel customer support and they said they have forwarded my complain to a relevant department (???)..whn i called today they said the same..so i dont know how long I need to wait untill i call my people back home..I thought Airtel would keep upto their reputation but it was very disappointing...hope someone would take necessary step to address this issue...

balance cutting without using any services
i would like to bring in your notice of illegally debiting money from my prepaid number by sending message for the services that I haven’t used from the phone.this is rediculous.thousand of Rs. debited from my balance.smtims 15, smtimes 99...etc.2.Kindly solve my problem.my cell no. is 09970804616.

poor service of restarting the barred connection
airtel services for restarting the barred phone call is pathetic .every time to 100, s of different executives u have to give details of your problem . they put customer on hold and then disconnects them. they dont solve the problem . they say its a technical fault . for past 36 hours my outgoing call has not been restored. they seem to be doing nothing about it.i dont know what to do about them.

charging money without subscribing
recently i got a msg from from airtel that i have subscribed to it VAS product, i have been charged 15 rs for that.actually i did'nt subscribe to any of its products.this is just steeling public money.even in its customer care no 121 and 123 they are not mentioning the option for customer care executive.
this is totally ridiculous.action has to be taken

My Account no.-14836463, my telephone No.-0120-4105973.

My name is Amit Singla, i am already relocated to Pune on 8th of October. I was using the AIRTEL BROADBAND CONNECTION till October 5. I visited Airtel Pune head office on 9th October to disconnect my broadband connection, They told me this is not possible to disconnect the same from Pune. After my request they told me you can disconnect it through customer care.

After that, I was trying to disconnect my number with customer care and every time they put the call on hold.At last on 31st October, able to get the service request number 278224. According to last communication Bharti Airtel needs to send me the full and final settlement bill on my email id [email protected] so that i can submit my last bill.


But still every now and then are calling up to my relatives with unacceptable words even Bharti Airtel is aware of my direct number.

Today 10th November 2009, I have a word with customer care still my connection is active. so plz take some immediate steps in against my complaint, I will be highly pleased .

Please email and also post my final amount to my email address &postal address given below, so that i can clear my all dues toward my account.

Unwanted SMS messages
My name is D Pereira

My wife uses my airtel connection.

Of late she has been receiving Love SMS messages from Airtel, without subscribing to it.
There seems to be no way to unsubscribe from it.

Airtel's 121 now doesn't have an option to speak to a tele-support executive.

I have been trying, and I only get the press 1 for marathi and 2 for english, etc. No option to get a tele-support executive.

I hope Airtel will not charge for these stupid SMS messages.

If someone knows an email id of number I can call to deactivate this service, please email me at [email protected]

broadband connection
Airtel promised a broadband connection to me on the 20-10-2009 and took 2900/- and vanished into thin air.

I have made several calls only to receive multiple complaint numbers and made several calls and wasted money on my cell phone.

Even their highest authority where one is supposed to escalate - I did that and they didnt respond to that.

They disconnect the calls and they also put you on hold forevr.So much for the big stars endorsing these brand.There is no value for customer care - all they do is i apologise madam.

You ask them for their nodal south address they say we are not supposed to disclose it like idiots.

WHat happens to the money? Here is the complaint that i wrote.

My Application number is TBLR0036044.My reference number is 7440020.

I had applied for a Broadband connection on the 20/10/2009.We had 2 executives come and visit our home and confirm that the ports are available and the feasibility of giving us the connection.They also took a cheque dated - 20/10/2009, Cheque number - 228702.

On Thursday 22/10/2009 the channel manager confirmed that by Saturday evening - 24/10/2009 we will get the connection by 6:00pm.I called up the channel manager the second time on Friday 23/10/2009 and he confirmed that we would get the connection.However post Friday the channel manager stopped picking up our calls.

I understand that the executives have limited knowledge of the process.But a manager must be fully aware of the status and the procedures.The channel managers name and number is - T.M.babu. 9740990090.


Note : No one from airtel called me to inform that there is no feasibility . I had to make the call myself to check and followup why connection was not given to me on Saturday- 24/10/2009.My question is the urgency with which the customers account is debited does airtel not have the decency of informing the customer voluntarily that there is no feasibility?How can you debit the customers account in the first place very well knowing that there is no feasibility?
After repeated calls made to the call center (08045554444) and asking if the connection can be provided or no then they inform us that there is no feasibility.


However, the cheque that was collected from us and was encashed which is ridiculous after knowing the fact that the connection cannot be given.


When it comes to collecting money you have a stringent timeline.When it comes to returning the money (which is collected illegaly ) there is no timeline?


The call center disconnects the call when the customer calls in and questions - doesn't airtel have a moral responsibilty/decency of answering the customers calls ? Instead they disconnect the calls of the customer- what kind of sense of responsibility do you display?

After all this when you ask for an escalation help desk - they again and again repeatedly disconnect the calls/they even refuse to connect it.

This only leaves me with a choice to approach the consumer court and lodge a complaint.Why do you treat your customers so badly?


Every customter is valuable - I hope you understand that i can influence atleast 50 people i know to change the connection from airtel to something else with a huge number of options available in the market.

You should be aware that this money woul have fetched some amount of interest in the bank.

I hope you will atleast respond to this and give me back my money.

I have Airtel mobile No. 9994463381. On 29.10.2009 My Account Balance was Rs. 51.51 Paise. That Day, I received a messagege from your message service no. 54321 mentioning
"Thanks for downloading StarTrek from Airtel, You have been charged Rs. 50. Play Games http://gclub.in". Then My Account Balance was decreased to Rs.1.51 Paise.

I really do not know what is StarTrek and I don't want to use this service. I talked to customer service but no satisfactory reply from that side.

This is the problem to many of the AIRTEL mobile users.

On 30.10.2009 I recharged for Rs.155. After Two Days, I got One Or Two Joke Messages regularly from 54321. On 09.11.2009, I got that type of message from 54321 and my serveice Reply Shows "SMS Cost : Rs 1.00 ". I talked to customer service but no satisfactory reply from that side.

Hello AIRTEL ServiceProviders, If you want money, Directly Contact with me. Otherwise u can beg from others openly. Don't cheat people with these activities.

If u did not able to Compete with your Competitor in INDIA, Please you better go out of INDIA.

false gprs
I am a customer of airtel for over 6 years spending on average 2 lakh pa.
I recently returned from a 10 day trip to thailand and I am always very carefull of using internationalroaming because I have been caught several times with bills totalling 40, 000 rps.
This time i made emergency calls at 7, 000 rps but when I checked my GPRS charge I had been charged 25, 000 rps for using internet conservatley for hotel rooms flights etc !!! when I questioned airtel they said these are the charges and I am forced to pay, airtel also say the give 500MB free usage when roaming, at the $10 per MB I was charged by the thai operator this would account to $5, 000 taking my usage for 10 days to $5900 which I feel is excessive, I have submitted several emails asking to speak to a senior employee, Bangalore manager, area manager and head office, this as been going on for around 6 weeks and they still have not responded !!! I have said I am quite happy to put this amount into the court and dispute it and I will change over to another airtime provider, still I hear nothing..

Do airtel not want to keep there customers, and why can you not contact someone in the organisation who is able to make a decision. I kepp trying to contact my local airtel manager who either does not answer my call or does not call back... CONFUSED ... should I just put this into consumer court and change provider now ?

I have requested for Prepaid to post Paid, mine is a 3 years old pre paid connection with airtel and I decided to get it post paid, but it was a very bad experience, I submitted my docs before the 25 days back and all verification done but till date new connection not working & they also stop my old pre paid connection. now no one connection is working
