sim regestration failed
dear sir, im buy the demo sim airtel no is 9651766991 date:20.10.2009, yesterday was my mobile show the disply is sim regestration failed, i call the f.o.s and he told me your sim is delete, my sim balance is 631.00 rs.he told me the sim is waste duplicate sim is not be issued of this no, the balance are not get back.so pls sir u suggest me what is my next step, afterall i am go to the CONSUMER COURT i fill a frod case to airtel company.

to reissue the sim card
my mobile started asking for some puk number, after trying for couple of time, it gave a message "sim card blocked". I too the duplicate sim card number on monday ie 20/10/09 and till today it is showing no connection.

UNSOLICITED SMS and charging therefor
1.I have a mobile connection 09896217653 from the AIRTEL.
2. I am registered with DONOT CALL REGISTRY.
3.Inspite of this, I have been receiving unsolicited SMSs,
4.I have been lodging complaints with AIRTEL Nodal Officer Haryana,
Ambala all about such unsolicited SMSs but except assurances, I have
not been able to get rid of such SMSs.
5. Only this month, I sent e-mail at [email protected], with
a request to take care but all in vain.
6. I also brought to his knowledge that I am being charged for
unsolicited SMSs sending me cricket updates from 543212601 via AIRTEL.
I also asked to restore back the deductions to my balance but no
action has been taken. This is unjust and uncalled for AIRTEL.
7. This has been happening for the last many times.
8.Even To-day, the 25th Oct, I have received three SMSs one after
another between 8 t0 10 am sending me cricket updates from the same
number.
9.This tantamounts to cheating with the consumers. I had also
threatened AIRTEL in the past and also indicated that I would be
complelled to approach Consumer Forum if this was not rectified but it
seems that they are not afraid of the same.


Such malpractices should come to an end!

Faulty bill and bad customer service
To all potential sufferers:
DO NOT go for Airtel's broadband connection (or their digital TV, for that matter). The connection comes with MANY HIDDEN CHARGES. I had taken the RS 649 unlimited plan and was told that I would get 100 free calls with the Airtel number given to me (unsolicited). I had asked more than once if there were any other charges involved apart from the tax, and was assured by three different executives that there weren't. Since then for the past five months I have had to pay Rs 60 for virus protection charges, despite having deactivated them every month when I get the bill. The executives assure you that you will get a duplicate bill with the charges waived off. That never happens and then your line gets disconnected and you have to pay not only the charges for the antivirus but late payment charges of Rs 50! This went on for five months with executives/ team leaders/ retention department officers, what have you, assuring me every time the bill will be revised and the said services deactivated. Add to this the trauma of having to converse with customer care executives who don't know what "designation" means and answer that they are calling from Okhla! No call to customer care is less than 30 minutes long, and you are constantly shuttled between people, each as clueless and ready to make false promises as the other!
Stay away from AIRTEL!

Wrong billing & harassing customers
After coming to Bangalore my faith on the brand Airtel has gone for a toss. I had been using Airtel for 5 yrs in Kolkata and never had I any problem with them. But in Bangalore it seems the Airtel is running a good business by stealing from people & employing a bunch of lazy, stupid & arrogant people for whom customers are people to be harassed & should have no work except for visiting the airtel office to pay the wrong bills.
I took an airtel connection after coming to Bangalore on 23rd Sept’09. I had asked them to activate the 249 Special Plan as well as the mobile office service of weekly rental 140. Without asking me they activated some Kanada portal when I don’t understand a word of the language. Then they deactivated it on my complaint saying it sometimes gets activated automatically. In the next few days I got welcome calls from airtel a no. of times. After that every 5 days I started getting calls from Airtel stating that my credit limit had exceeded & I should make a payment. I made the payment but again I got a call after some days saying that my credit balance had exceeded and I should make the payment to get continued services. This time it was a lump amount of Rs. 1200 and I was shocked as I had not made that many calls in 10 days, so I asked the customer care to provide me my bill details. To this I got the reply that they can’t do so but gave me a complaint no. & said someone will be taking care of the same. The next day my outgoing was discontinued. I had to go to the airtel office to make the payment and get my services activated. After 2 days I got a call from the customer care in regards to my complaint, and that’s when I came to know that instead of the 140 weekly plan they had activated the 399 rental GPRS plan. But still I was not convinced that my bill could be so high on GPRS as my usage was only limited to checking of mails & no downloads. Then I asked them to change my bill plan to 140 weekly. When my bill was generated I was really pissed off that they had charged me Rs. 2853 only for my GPRS connection & they had billed me even on days when I had not even logged in once. When I asked the CC for an explanation they very calmly told me that”madam you pay the bill now, we’ll resolve the issue as soon as possible & you’ll get a reversal in your next bill”. I believed them & made the payment not knowing the Bangalore Airtel service employed a bunch of lazy crooks who made money by harassing the customers & charging them falsely. I got no call regarding my bill resolution. I also asked them to change my bill plan to Freedom 549 to which I was told that it can only happen next month. Again on 22nd Oct’09 I got a call from CC saying that my credit balance had exceeded and I should make the payment of 1100 Rs. for continued service. I was so angry by this time that I told them I would not make a single payment till I get a resolution for my previous payment. Then I got another shock when he told me that according to the system my issue had already been resolved. I told him I had not received any call to which he said I’m taking a complaint & you’ll receive a call shortly. Still I got no call & once again my service was disconnected. Again I made a visit to the airtel office and told them the whole issue to which they said I’ll get a call within 24 hrs & said they are also activating my service. Though my outgoing was activated I could not access the GPRS. Even after 10 calls to the technical helpdesk as well as 121 they said they cannot resolve my issue as the other one was responsible. When I told them I would take it with the higher authorities they asked me to go ahead(this shows the kind of trust they have on their seniors who must be bigger crooks than them & had taught them how to loot from customers). So because of the fault of the CC I had to access net from the cybercafé for 3 days(23rd, 24th, 25 Oct’09 ) but when it come to charging the money I’m sure they’ll charge me for these days too. And its more than 48 hrs & I’ve not gotten a resolution yet.

These are the reference/complaint nos. provided to me by CC & which I got no resolution yet.

CANCELLATION OF NUMBER
I had been using a prepaid connection number 9903015352 of airtel since last 4-5 years, On the 16th September 2009, I goth the sim card reissued since my old card got misplaced. At the same time Rs.333.00 e-recharge was also done to my number. After all these I made calls to few numbers. Suddenly the network went off and the customer care officer told me its a technical snag, the issue would be solved in a couple of hours. Finally nothing happened and I went personally to the teleshop, they say the number has been removed from the system and I cannot use the number anymore. They refuse to refund the Rs.333.00 and also not assisting to take up the matter to senior level. I have distributed this number to all over the globe to all my business associates.
Please help me to get out of this trap, many more customer had thronged the Airtel's showroom facing the same kind of fraud.

charging for incoming call
I'm using Airtel prepaid card, fort past fifteen days I'v have been charged for incomming calls, spoke to the customer care on 23/10/09 ref id:1023092596 . they said we have not charged for incoming calls and asking me the date and time of charged incomming i dont have any record for that but for for sure I know that they have charged for incoming calls but the customer care is lying that we have not charged

The SMS when complaint was registered

On 24 Oct which is yet to come their SMS, without addressing the problem, will come as


"Dear customer. Thanks for an opportunity to serve you. Trust your Ticket 25588144 for Tel 01146064805 has been resolved. Call 121 for any support."


I faced this type of treatment earlier also. No one cares no one listens. Hope this time they send message after taking action on the complaint and not as a ritual without addressing the complaint.
