Network problem
I am a consumer of Airtel prepaid for last 4-5 years. From last one year I have too much problem with the network in my home and as well as in office (10th floor) also. I am residing at Howrah (Central), Panchanantala and my office at Bentinck Street near Lalbazar P.S. I never talk at my home and for talk to somebody I need to came out at the street and also in my office at 10th floor I have also facing network problem, poor voice quality etc. Everywhere the problem only with the network not with the handset. I have been complaining to customer care for so many times and got the reply that we will do it and further no problem occur in future with our network. But I have been still facing the same problem and now I have to think to change the connection for getting better network like Vodafone.

If possible please look into the matter,

Illegal collecting money
My mobile number is 9849046096. Last night i have called to customer care regarding messages offer but directly they activated hello tunes and deducted my account by 60/- rupees. I have make a complaint but not effected they transfer my call to other department but no one life my phone and sometimes they directly make me hold up to 1 hour. This is not the right way. Airtel is a good company and they are earning money by making their offers on the customers with out their permission.

Pathetic customer services of airtel
I am with airtel from about 5 years and changed my plan from postpaid to prepaid card and then my bad days started as a customer airtel launched MCHEK ON MOBILE... for customers i downloaded the software and then used it once made recharge of 220 rs as there was a offer for full talktime means i will get 220 rs credited in my prepaid account but in a minute money was debited from icici bank acc which was good but the money credited to my prepaid acc was rs 50... i called cust services in a healthy manner on 22 august but i was provided a date that will recieve a call back on 4 days after means 25 aug ... no calls recvd From Airtel... i called in again then was transfered to cust care executive who was really rude instead of helping me was tryin to just finish the call... i hung up the called in again there were several of cust care executives whom i have word with and they provided with different resolutions and then finally i asked for a manager there instead i was transferred to a different person and then the same result... he advised to go to the nearest airtel outlet... i mean what kind of sense it makes if everybody goes on there outlet it was really disgusting to call in cust services jaipur and simply a waste of time...

Regarding deactivation of yahoo zone
I had three times requested airtel service center to deactivate this yahoo zone service on my 9970831626 no. as i do not have airtel wap connection, but sill they are charging 30/- per month for yahoo zone.

Disconnected without approval
I recently took an airtel postpaid connection, but i am very unhappy with the service. First of all i didn't want to change my vodafone connection because i was very happy with it but the airtel guys offered me a very attractive plan and i finally decided to take it (which i now think was a huge mistake). Let start from the beginning some airtel guy called me everyday for a plan i finally decided to take it he came to my house on 31st July 2008 to collect the documents and 300 rupees which he said that it would be deducted from my first months bill. I called his senior to confirm when my number will get activated somebody by the name of Mr. Rehaan (his numbers: 9987406909, 9867027724) he assured me that it'll get activated that same day. then the weekend followed and my plan was not activated. I called him on Monday ie 4th August 2008 they said the number will get activated that evening but it didnt happen. I called Mr Rehaan every single day after that and he told me the same thing until friday when i spoke sternly with him and he assured me that i would get a 50 rupees discount on my rent for a year along with a reebok bag for all the trouble that i've been through and finally on saturday ie 9th August 2008 my phone was started but that same day i realized that i was not give the plan i was promised. (i was offered a plan where i would get Rs. 300 rent, 300 messages free, 300 talk time free, 30 paise mobile calls, 60 paise landline calls) but i was given another plan where the call rates were 50 paise and not 30 paise. After repeated attempts to get in touch with Mr Rehaan which failed i got in touch with his subordinate who made made lousy excuses like the person who pitched me the plan has left and there is some problem with my documents so i got the other plan finally when he ran out of excuses he told me he cannot help me. Then on Tuesday ie 12 August 2008 i get a call from airtel that there is some problem with my documents and that they want to send someone to my house for reference check. I said fine i told them that i would be available from 9 a.m till 12 a.m they said that they would send some one over. 13 August 2008 i found out that my outgoing has been barred i tried calling the customer care but the call gets cut midway. No one came for the reference check as well now i am stranded as i closed my vodafone number as well, i cannot make calls and this has caused a lot of problems for me. I don't know what kind of an organization would do such a thing with its customers. I cant get in touch with any body from airtel Mr Rehaan gave me his phone numbers but is never available the customer service number does not work i am so sick and tired of airtel it makes me wonder why i took it in the first place i did not know that i would have to go through so much hassle just to acquire a connection. Then i get a call that my plan has been changed i asked them what about the outgoing service which has been barred they said go to the gallery. I went there they said give your address again well send some one tomorrow but again no one came again i called airtel they aid someone will come buy still no result. i wrote mails to the airtel 121 customer service but no response from their side yesterday my incoming has also stopped i went to the gallery they said some one came for verification but did not find the address, i couldn't believe it when they wanted to collect money for the connection that tim ethey had no problem finding my house and now they say that i will have to apply for a new connection again. because of airtel i have been without a phone for a month now, made countless calls, wasted lot of money but all in vain and now i want some punishment for airtel please help.

DND calls
I have registered with Airtel DND facility. I am still getting Telemarketing calls from various agencies.
Today I received a call from Bancard Services Mr. Sameer Raghuvanshi +91-22-40775902. He said he is calling from SBI (State Bank of India).

This is nothing but pure harassment & breach of confidentiality as airtel is selling them our personal data. Will the DOT take some action against these people.

Non-compliance to DND provided by the Co.
I sent a request for activating DND (Do Not Disturb) in the month of Sep. & after 45 days it got activated. But inspite of that I keep getting calls from various DSAs including Airtel & various unnecessary messages. I took it up with the Customer Care of Airtel & gave relevant information about the message center, number of messages, their date & time, their subject etc. The customer care executive felt sorry about it & gave me a complaint number but unfortunately till date even after making 7-8 calls to customer service & n numbers of useless compliant number & with a big promise of getting rid of the problem, I still get the SMSs.

I am sick & tired of this & surprised by the pathetic service provided by Airtel.

Not able deactivate the service
I have tried to deactivated my missed call alert service with airtel thrice as of now. But every month i am assured that my money will not be deducted any more, still it is not deactivated yet and i have pay for the service. Every time i have called airtel customer care the agents are very rude. They disconnect the phone, they don't let me speak with their supervisor. I feel like discontinuing my service with airtel because its been the worst customer service experience ever.

Terrible service
I'm using cell no 9849198103 from past 5 years. its validity has expired on 21st of may 2008. Due to oversight it was not recharged up to Aug 19th. When we tried to recharge on Aug 20 it could not be re charged. Can I got my no. activated now? On inquiring customer care they have told it can be activated by taking anew sim card but nearest airtel offices are saying that they cannot activate.
