Refund not returned
I have closed my connection with Airtel and also given a letter for refund of deposit after paying all my dues. I was told i would receive the refund in 15 working days. Its been 2 and half months and I have still not received it. Everytime i call up the customer service i am given a new reference number. Airtel customer service sucks big time. They disconnect your phone in less than 24 hrs if you have not paid your outstanding bill by the due date but when it comes to them refunding the customers money, they act like as if there was no deposit given. Please tell me if i can go to the consumer courts for the same.

Reduction of balance
Everyday from my balance one rupee gets deducted. I have been facing this problem for the last few months. Then i contacted customer care and i was informed that mine connection comes under airtel daily rental plan something, so i need to do a validity recharge of 800 (1 year validity). Then I did my recharge. Now also daily 1 rupee is getting deducted from my balance and when i contacted the customer care I am again asked to do another validity recharge for 1 year. When i asked the guy why this problem is occurring he just disconnected the call. Can you help me regarding this???

Terrible service
Airtel India is by far the worst company I have ever had to deal with. They continue to bill for months after I terminated the service. They bill incorrectly at least half of the time. The customer service representatives are useless - they can't do anything but lodge a complaint. The email system stinks - they may email back, but they never resolve the issues. I have had nothing at all good happen with this company. They have been absolutely the worst service provider of any kind that I have ever had to deal with. I am glad to be rid of them.
They seriously need to revamp their system to be more customer friendly. It's horrible.

Mishandling of complaints
I paid my bills online (site: www.airtel.in). That payment is released by my citibank credit card but I don’t know how not been reflected in airtel database. Now my worries started. Since two months I am explaining them the problem but no one is solving it. I forwarded all details required by them form my credit card end. Still this issue is there.
Now because they are able to resolve issues at their end I am facing problem. Since two months almost daily I am spending my time (30 -40 mins) in explaining issues to customer care and billing collection guys. Now as the duration is long they started debarring my facilities without intimating me. I was traveling alone and needed to call someone urgently and found that my services are debarred.
Now I am spending daily my time (30-40 mins) in explaining issue to them and getting my services on.
Too bad at their end.

Receiving bill even for discontinued line
Airtel Customer Service is Pathetic. I have asked Airtel to discontinue my postpaid service as I was moving out of the Country for a while. Customer Care Confirms that by January-15-2008 number will be disconnected. I paid all the dues till that time frame hoping that i wont get the bill again. But what a shock even at July-20-2008 I am still receiving the bills. Every month they sent a bill to me and I reply to that mail that this number has been discontinued and I won’t pay the bill.
Just want to know, how to file the complaint in Consumer Court for harassing me for sending the bill for the disconnected line.

Gone for new postpaid connection on 18-july-2008 but still number not activated even after many commitments
We got a corporate connection on Friday i.e. 18/07/2008 and i was asked to give my required docs with the amt of Rs. 250/- andi was committed that the connection will be activated within 2 hours, i did everything from my side as a part of docs and fees required to activate the connection but unfortunately Airtail failed to do the same, 2 hrs is out of question, till date i.e. 21/07/2008 the no is not activated, i also mentioned that we are in the new city so we need no urgently...apart from all these issues we could have still waited for few more hours but when we tried to call up SO CALLED customer service call center nobody was even bothered to pick up the call (SO UNPROFESSIONAL!!!) after many trails somebody picked up the phone when we told him for the same story he was telling us to again wait for 24 hours and he was so rude as if we were beggers and were forcing them to give us the connection(Aitel peope came to me for giving new corporate connection and not i had gone to them) when we told him to transfer the line to the manager he said the manager is not on the floor and the worst part is that he told us that you call later for further assistance and we told him that you just give us your name and employee id he is telling surely take it and very smartly in the continuation of the phone he disconnected the call ?????????????? We could have still waited but such a poor customer service...and it was so rude...we as a customer have thousands of options in the market today only it seems it was the mistake that we have choosen AIRTEL!!!

Unwanted marketing calls even after registering with NDNC
I have been receiving numerous telemarketing calls even after registering with NDNC registry. I would like to get some guidance as to how to sue the company and take the people responsible (for acting irresponsibly) to task. Unless and until stringent punitive action is taken against them these spam calls are not going to stop and they have tested my patience already.

No network
I am a customer of Airbt the customer. They don't have respect and wont care about the customer. I am facing the no network problem since 17/07/08 evening till today. Not able to make a call nor receiving any. Not even able to call customer care. They are also so irresponsible on there part nor informing the customer about the problem of network.
Worst management, not caring about the customers.

Network down for more than 36 hours
Well, this has been more than 36 hours since Airtel had a fire in their Lower parel center. In the newspapers they say that they have restored services, yet there are so many people who are unable to make any calls. I have 3 Airtel connections and none of them are able to make any calls. The Customer care is the worst, simply trying to give 'golis' and not solve any issues. They seem to come only for the sake of money and are the least interested in solving customer complaints. I had talked to them yesterday and the said services would be restored by 2200 hrs. After that the said it would be by 0600 hours and finally when I called at 1000 hrs, their reply was that services would be restored within half an hour. It has been more than 8 hours and I am still in the same crises. I am still unable to contact customer care.
It is very shameful on Airtel's part to have no disaster management system and that too in a prime city like mumbai.

Worst telecom services
I have recharge my Airtel prepaid two days ago. After recharge the service went offline. I called Airtel and they said they will fix the problem, its now second day until now the services are not fixed. Airtel customer service is among the worst of its kind in the market. The operators can barely speak english and when you report a problem they put you on hold for indefinite period. Its more than 48hrs and the service on my prepaid is still not restored. I rate Airtel as WORST SERVICE OPERATOR. After my horrific experience, i suggest people should rethink before subscribing any services from Airtel.
