bad service
there is some fire, due to which airtel network is not working... thier customer care person is telling it is goin to start at 10 pm (18.07.2008) but it is not been started.. again after callin him.. he is telling that it is goin to start at 10 am..

due to this iam not able to call and my incoming is also not workin...

i told them atleast when your service will start, you can extend my days for which your service was not provided..but they are telling me we cannot extend your days...because it is temporary issue..

my scheme is valid for 30 days for which my call rate will be 50 paise but due to thier technical problem iam not able to do outgoin calls and they are giving me extended days also...

iam not satisfied with this kind of service...

iam going to file a complaint to consumer court...

CUG bills skewed
I am using an airtel postpaid connection for the past 10 months in hyderabad. Its a Corporate CUG plan. After few months of payment of bills, i noticed that airtel was billing even my CUG calls. I kept on raising this issue to their customer care for almost next 6 months, with no fix. Then i reached to a point, where i threatened them to disconnect the service if no action is taken. At this point, without informing me, they changed my account number (account number for my airtel service) and from that day onwards they did not charge me for the CUG calls. But what happened (what airtel intended) was to avoid me to reach to the consumer forum. Because they had changed my account number (without informing me), i was unable to see any of my old bill details in their website (http://airtel.in) and it mentioned my new account number as if it was created only a few days back. All the bills they used to send to my email alias, was password protected. When i requested for the password, it was not able to open the bills as the password was for the new account number and not the old one's. This was a very cunning and skewed service from airtel and i need a responsible person from airtel to answer these issues and credit back all the amounts, they had cheated away from me. I have couple of calls in this case, recorded in my mobile, when i spoke to their customer care. If action was not taken by Airtel to solve this after APOLOGIZING, i would be moving to consumer court. Note that i received two bills for that month, one with old account number and one with new account number. I paid them in order to help me reach consumer court.

Miss guide by sales executive
I inquired for broadband connection at Airtel office sec 15, they provide me a cell no. 9810313268 of their sales executive named Krishan Singh Yadav. I called him(dt. 02-07-2008) and asked him to provide me broadband connection at ShivajiNagar. On phone he said airtel don't provide broadband connect in shivajiNagar Gurgaon. Then i replied him... "My Land load (living in the same house in groundfloor), is using a broadband connection of airtel then how can you say "Airtel doesn't provide connect there". After that he came to my house and before telling me the plan he checked the slot for connect whether it is empty or not. He called to the technical department in front of me an confirm about the empty slot. After confirming the empty slot, he told me the plan of Rs 555 and received Rs 500 and required documents (photo, Id proof etc.). He ensured me that i will get connect either on sat (5th july 2008) or monday (7th July 2008). On Sat 5th july i received a call from an line man of airtel, he said their was not empty slot, i requested him to confirm it again as Krishan singh yadav had confirmed it from tech department in front of me. Then line man visited my house and confirmed the empty slot and requested me to wait for 10 - 15mins and i m coming back soon. I did wait for him from 3 pm till evening but he did not come back. On monday evening i called to Krishan singh yadav, he gave me a cell no. of Mr. Arvind to have the status of connection. Arvind replied me... as he wasn't in the office so could not tell me the status and when he visit office then tell you the status. After that I could not get a single call from him. I called many times to Krishan Singh Yadav. Even once he forward my call to some other guy Mr. Mukesh, he said the empty slot gone choked, the reason for delay. But every time he replied me that you would connection very soon. I registered a complaint at 4444555 airtel no. 9152198 on friday 11th July. I had a call dt 12th july from a person in airtel that i could not have airtel connection as in shivajiNagar as there were some work going on the roads of shivajinagar(digging roads) and the wire for broadband connect became cut in the earth. So airtel will refund you money of Rs500 to you by chq within 15days. After few mins of that call i received a call from a lady in airtel against my complaint. But i could not get any solution.

One is telling... Choking slot problem (that can be replaced) and other says digging road problem(if so how my landlords connect is working).They are just making me fool nothing else. This was really my a very bad experience with airtel. I never expect this kind of things from airtel...

Really a ridiculous,

False billing and after repeated calls not returning the money back
I am writing this complaint with regards to Airtel Call home facility. I have tried to recharge my account with a certain amount however the website did not confirm so recharged again and resulted in paying twice the money I required to recharge with. I called the customer service immediately one amount was returned back that solved my case for then.

However later on i found out that the remaining recharged amount was deducted from my account next when i called them they acknowledged there mistake over phone but till date neither the amount has been reverted to my bank account nor did they put the amount back to my airtel account. Even after writing numerous mails and calling them several times my case is not solved. Except for once every time my mails were only forwarded to me without any updates or help mails. I am really frustrated how callous an organization at the level of Airtel can be. Please help I am seriously trying to get mail ids of senior folks of the organization for an immediate resolution.

Latest status is such that after my last call the representative has asked me to wait till Wednesday (16th july, 08). However I am fighting on this for over a month.

Fraud and scam
EXCESS PAYMENT CHARGED FOR GPRS SERVICE - I had activated the GPRS on 19th June 2008 and wanted to de- activate it on 20th June 2008. I received a messages (from 21nd June to 27th June 2008) to de-activate later because the GPRS system was being upgraded. Finally it was de-activate on 28th June 2008 morning. The messages are save in my mobile. Besides the above, I had complained about it to customer care on 26th June 2008 (complaint No. 0626412261 informed to Mr. Rajiv at 2130hrs) and also lodged a complaint in the Airtel Gallary at Ahmednagar on 28th June 2008.

In spite of taking the above mentioned efforts, no proper action has been taken by Airtel to refund the GPRS charges of 07 days, which have been deducted from my balance amount. Its only once a message was received on the mobile that Rs.29.98 has been credited, but the amount has not been added to the balance in the mobile phone.

The above incidences indicate the poor quality of service provided by Airtel, to the customer and the customer care individuals are doing only lip service. The standard of Airtel Service is declining day by day and unnecessary cheap messages / advertisements are also sent to gain cheap popularity. Hope the standard of services will improve and the excess amount charged for the non provided GPRS Service will be refunded at the earliest.

Airtel post-paid service
I am having a postpaid mobile of Delhi region. The roaming services for which were suddenly discontinued when I visited laddakh. Even on repetitive complaints there was no positive development. The call center service is horrible.

Terrible internet connection
Airtel customer care executives are very irresponsible. These guys do not have proper information regarding any service plan. I doubt they even register any complain or any request. I am staying in sector 41A chandigarh, india. Till now i have called 12 times to Airtel customer care. Every time i am told that Airtel executive will visit my place for connection. Its going to me one month and no one has called me on my phone nor any one has visited my place.

This is really disappointing. Airtel must look for this, otherwise its useless to upgrade technology if service provided is not up to the mark.
