Scam and cheating
I have called airtel customer care today (10 June 2008). My LFNF was not working properly. According to their offer in SIM (Iris SIM) it is free to call one local airtel number for 100 minutes a day. But for me it was charging 50 ps per minute. After hearing the complaint, customer executive checked my status and agreed that the offers are available for me. He transfered call to Senior Executive. Her name was Deepa. She heard all my complaints. Then she told me that they have canceled all my offers before one month because they have some technical problems and it will not be available further. Without any information they have canceled all my offers. In this conversation, she told me sorry about 21 times. These sorries are the only thing that I ever got from Airtel customer care. Never take Airtel connections, if you, you will be definitely cheated.

Hooligans
I’ve used the pathetic service of Airtel only for Rs.50/- and paid total of Rs.570/- because recovery hooligans from Airtel came to my office to forcefully take the money. The “useless and worst customer care” of Airtel is not responding well too. I’ve forcefully paid Rs.570 to Airtel and requested to close my account through the closure form and the e-mail too in the last month itself (The Service Request number for the same is 16706020). I do not believe it that Airtel again sent me a bill of Rs.120/- again. I feel like badly abusing Airtel a lot.

What’s wrong with Airtel, I do not understand. Is it management or carelessness? I will not pay a single rupee now, and I will file a case against Airtel if any more hooligans come to my office for recovery. Also, I would expose such incidences to media too.

I can challenge Airtel to send gundas to my office and I will show what I can do.

Terrible company
I have given the Airtel broadband connection only 4 days before. within that there is a problem in landphone that it is dead and the internet connection is not working. And also when trying to reach the customer service representatives they are not picking up at any time but saying 24/7 which is meaningless.

The engineer who came in for giving connection also not humble and he hasn't given any demonstration on the product technically.

Harassment
I wanted a new mobile connection from Airtel as an add-on to my exiting connection, after a long discussion a sales manager agreed to offer it. Later a sales rep met me and collected all the related documents and handed over the sim or better to say a "problem card". the sim got operational after wait of 3 long days that too after repeated reminders and several calls to the customer services. Verification was done from Airtel and a copy of all documents was again given to the Airtel personnel. Now the story of all kind of harassment starts, I started receiving msgs that since the documents are not being submitted the services to the new connection will be withdrawn and finally it was. I went on contacting customer care executives, supervisors and even managers and each one just assured that the services will be resumed but didn't happened. I just fail to understand that why my connection was disconnected for the loss of documents in the Airtel office, since the sales team confirms of submitting them along with the payment very next day. Still the documents are untraceable, but even after assurance from customer service manager, nothing moved. The worst part from Airtel is that now I am being asked to keep suffering till they locate my documents or a new set of documents are submitted in the ofice. Today its been a 4th day since the services are withdrawn and I am suffering due to fake commitments from Airtel and their office mismanagement.

GPRS WAVOR
I REQUESTED FOR GPRS WAVOR. I WAS GRANTED WAVOR FOR THREE MONTHS. BUT IT WAS TAKEN AWAY IN TWO MONTHS ONLY, SAYING THAT MY BILLING CYCLE IS FROM 5 TO 4; AND I THEY ACTIVATED THE SAME ON 3 (i.e. A day before 4), which consumed the whole 1 month in 1 day.
Isnt THat UNfair? My number is 9815757447.

No call registry
After registering with no call registry i have been receiving regular calls from people. One such call was received today 5th may2008 from number 01145046331. Airtel people are not looking into this matter at all life is hell with this number now!

Online top up
Through ICICI Bank I did a online e-top transaction of amount 100Rs. The amount was debited from my account at once. But there was no e-top done. transaction ID: 000064231243. mobile no. 9731439753. My complaint was happily lodged by agent, when i spoke to him first. When I spoke the next day, I get the information that I have to fax the transaction details to airtel office @ 9845500121 / 9845600121.

I really don't understand how will the fax help and there is no dept., to which the fax goes, the agent told me fax it to Bharti India Ltd. I am really pissed off by the service provided. All airtel is doing increase customer base without increasing customer satisfaction. As online etop is a very common thing now a days. and this is the most common problem the customer can have. I see no helpdesk setup for such request.

Will give up airtel connection soon.

Commitment by sales not fulfilled
AIRTEL cheating on customers. I was very satisfied with MTNL broadband. Airtel Sales person (commonly known as SELU) who know nothing about Technology but promise everything that customer need and then disappear once cheque is collected and connection is sold. This Sales Man with name "VISHNU" 9810662917 promised following to me (that too after a bit of acting about confirmations from back office which turned out to be fake later):

Cheating -1.

I needed 4 port ethernet router (the same as was provided by MTNL in my existing connection). It was confirmed but later AIRTEL refused to honour this commitment. Result I am handicapped that my family is unable to use 2 PCs (Laptop+desktop) parallel for broadband. This requirement was put in writing in application documents. This is a clear case of CHEATING.

Cheating-2.

I requested that first bill should be generated at end of calender months to maintain uniformity with my existing MTNL connection. It was promised but not honored, bill generated in the middle of month.

Cheating-3.

I was promised, Access password to check broadband usage online will be generated but not done till date which is more than 1 month.

Cheating-4.

I was promised that my e-mails of existing MTNL server shall be automatically routed to new E-mail account after I surrender MTNL. Not done. Now they say can not be done.

Cheating-5.

Promised speed will be better than MTNL at 512KBps, actually 512 is max limit whereas in MTNL max limit was 2 Mbps. Thus speed is actually worse than MTNL.

Cheating-6.

Broadband usage for first billing period as per Bandwidth Monitor Pro software on our PC is 0.9 GB and billed by AIRTEL: 1.29GB. About 25-30% more.

Nobody seems to be answerable. For complaint follow ups, everytime new person takes up call, and he has no background of the complaint already lodged. Highly, unprofessional, customer un-friendly complaint management system.

Think twice before changing over to AIRTEL broadband service.

Detected amount from our pre-paid account
I have a phone connection (pre-paid) from airtel & my no. is 99871073657. We never enable VASSPACK service of airtel. They themselves enable it & detect Rs.50:00 per month for last one year. We make at least 50 calls to their customer care no. & talked to their executive for disabling this facility. We never use this service even for a single time. Every time they assured that they have disabled this service & next time onwards no money will be detected from our account but this detected money can not be refunded & they are very sorry for this detection. They always refuse to give us any complaint no.

After a very long & hot discussion with them finally they give us a complaint no "043005498000" on 30.04.2008. Since then we are always talking them for disabling this service again & again against above complaint no. This time they again detected the money from our account on 04.06.2008.

I think this is clear cut cheating case from airtel side.
