Billed even after the SIM was blocked!
I had called Airtel on 11 of Sept 2007 to block the SIM no. 9959266670 , since I had lost the mobile. I got the reply that it was blocked, but when I get the bill it was not blocked. The guy who found the phone used it to call the all over India, till 4 Oct. 2007. When I inquired on 4 Oct 2007 to my surprise the SIM was not blocked. Now this has become a biggest problem. I had also called them on 24 Sept 2007 to cancel the number till date I have not received any call from them.
If this is the kind of Service they are providing, I recommend Everybody to stop using Airtel. I have promised myself that I would never in my life use Airtel services.
Thanking you,
Alok Garg.

Less talk time than promised!
On the website of AIRTEL (link http://www.airtel.in/User_Voucher.aspx?path=1/6/6/2&cid=3) it is clearly mentioned that on a recharge of Rs 450, the talk time is 300. But since the last 2 months I have been getting only 275.
Called up Customer Care about 3 times. The first 2 times they agreed that I should be getting 300 and assured that I’ll get the remaining amount in the next 48 hrs! but this didn’t happen, both the times! When I called the 3rd time, the guy at the other end (after confirming with his so called supervisor) said that I will be getting only 275. When I told him that airtel website says 300 he asked me to write a complaint to the website itself!
I mean, are the callers not aware of the packages and what rubbish is this? Aren’t they and the website in sync? They should be taking this issue up! What if one sees the rates on the internet, selects the package and then is told by customer care that the website of airtel gives bull information?!?
PATHETIC service!!

Poor service standards
Since I shifted my residence this August, the CLIP & STD/ISD facilities have been withdrawn from my number (though I am being charged for the same). Inspite of repeated service request to the attending technician (who re-installed the phone at my new residence) & subsequent calls & emails to Airtel Customer Care, my request has not yet been resolved. Every time I have been assigned a complaint no. & given an assurance of 24hrs TAT. However, no body subsequently bothered to check-up whether the problems have been resolved. Over the last 1 1/2 months I have called on customer care atleast 10-12 times & written 6 - 7 emails, but all in vain.
I do not expect such sloppy & customer insensitive behaviour from Bharti. I have held back my bill payments & will not release the same till the problems are resolved. (May be mentioned that I have shared the reason for non-payment to the caller who reminded me of the payment due date. However, I feel there is absolutely no coordination between the call centres.) Moreover, had Airtel been as proactive in responding to customer requests as they are in barring services due to non-repayment, they would have earned more satisfied customers.

Prepaid Top-Up card didn't work
I have got a prepaid top-up card(Rs.25/- worth) and tried with the pin number to top it up. But went on giving an error msg (Invalid combination) whenever I attempted to top it up. When reported in customer care, there was no proper intimation as to what to do. I found that customer care people are unaware of what to do with my complaint. Finally I could do nothing...

Worst customer service!
I just started with airtel prepaid service. I have been getting marketing call too much, to avoid it i called the customer service, these guys don't even take the call seriously, when i wanted to make a complaint against customer care guy there was no supervisor to take the call, my call was disconnected 4 times. There was no one to get back to me. There was even no direct option in the menu to speak to a customer care consultant. My opinion is that Airtel Customer service merely means marketing their products and its no way concerned with customer satisfaction.
Thankyou.

Service is very bad
I send message for activation of GPRS service on the 6 sept. 2007 but it didn't activate in my mobile but Rs. 20 deducted immediately. After that i call to Air tel customer care 5-6 times. They told it will activate within 24 hrs. They told me 2-3 methods (sms) but it didn't work. They are just making us fool.
