Awful service!
I have purchase Airtel Card under GOVERNMENT Scheme in which call charges are 10 paise and 30 paise Initially. It work fine for first two days but after two days they cut 70 Rs from my account and saying that this is rental according to their system and without asking me they have changed my plan in which monthly rent was 70 Rs. and call charges are 25 and 50 paise. Now I am asking for refund but not able to get even after complaining more than 10 times. This is the service provided by Airtel. Now Airtel is cheating people like this what is this it's better to opt for Dolphin rather than airtel.

Ridiculous service!
My name is Ananthakrishnan KT. I am a resident of Bangalore. I was given an Airtel Postpaid Mobile connection (no: 9980356474) sponsored for my personal use by my company on Tuesday – 17th of July. The connection was purchased from the Richmond Road Branch (below Coffee Day). On purchase I was informed that it would be activated between 4 and 6 hours from then. It was not activated even the next day, and when I called customer service the next day evening, I was told that it would take 24 hours. When I said that it has already been 24 hours, I was given a complaint number – 13260387. Yesterday – 19th July, when my superior had called a second time to enquire, he was told that there was address verification required. I said that an agent had already come to my residence and verified the address with me. In the end, all we got was another complaint number – 13281200. Today I find that my phone has still not been activated.
Is there some problem with Airtel that the public should be aware of? We had selected Airtel because we were under the impression that things would be done in a speedy manner. When things take this long, we must assume there is some drawback and seriously reconsider our choice. In my line of work, I require to be on the phone a lot, and not having a connection is beginning to hamper my productivity!!!

Prepaid cards are too expensive!
Prepaid cards are too expensive. Talktime is also very less and valdity period is less. Airtel is increasing Prepaid cards rates day by day. Airtel is very bad in giving good offers when compared to other mobile services. Airtel is also not providing Mobile to Mobile charge for 0.49 paisa. Airtel is charging Mobile to Mobile charge for 0.99 paisa.This is very expensive. Customer has to recharge Rs.90(per month) to get Mobile to Mobile charge for 0.99 paisa.It was last month Rs.77,now it is Rs.90. Why Airtel increasing charges for prepaid cards day by day. Airtel is also providing worst services for prepaid customers. Ultimately they will loose customers one by one if they do like this. Right now Airtel management thinking that 'they are in number one position'. Ultimately they will loose number one position in few days. I am also one of the Airtel prepaid customer. Airtel service tax is very very high when comparing to others. This is just a warning for Airtel management. In future i will discontinue your services. Airtel management has to rethink about this and has to provide good offers with less tax and charges. Why Airtel management increasing Airtel charges every month??? This is very ridiculous.

Deduction of money without information.
I am registering this complaint for my colleague named Ravi. Ravi is AIRTEL prepaid customer. His Cell no is 9867413606. Around 45 - 60 days back, Rs 25 were deducted from his account for some VAS (Value added service). The service was not activated by him, and he don't know what is this for. When I called airtel on behalf of him and asked them to refund the amount, the CSE assured me that the amount will be refunded with 48 hrs in to his account. But this didn't happen, I had called around 10 - 15 times to the airtel customer support and every time they tell that the amount will be refunded withing 24 hrs in Ravi's account. They had provided me with 02 complaint nos and the ticket no are - 062304995700 and 062904908100. Today he again got the same service message for VAS and again Rs 25 /- had deducted from his account. After that he got a sms from 4625 which says "Thank you for using airtel voice chat". He had not activated the service. Is there any way for getting this Rs 50/- back. I am tired of calling AIRTEL again and again for refund of our money.

Pathetic state of affairs
I'm an Airtel User of more than 10 months but now I feel ole Reliance was better. I've the following to convey:
1. Range & Network: OK
2. NOP Service: Airtel's business model to steal your chillars - never activate this (complete waste of time & money)
3. GPRS: Will probably be activated in the next week (with immediate effect)
4. Customer Service: Cannot really tend to our queries as their system throws up data after 48 hours
5. 121: Is at times charged and a refund promised within 48 hours
6. Value Added Services: Dont even think about it unless u wana go bankrupt
7. VAS Download: Is a curtain for these thieves to steal more (sometimes goes unnoticed)
8. Servers: Are so dead - They'll have to take a loan from Hutchison Essar to get new servers
9. Best Way Out: If you arent stuck like me (ur clients / customers u painstakingly developed over the months have ur airtel numba) Change to Hutch / BSNL / Idea
If u r really stuck that way, dont mind spending couple of thou's calling them all & informing of number change - & burn that Airtel SIM.

Deposit adjustment with bill - false promise!
I got a new connection in early this year and I was promised by local Airtel agent that my deposit will be adjusted with my bill immediately after three months. After three months, when my staff went to pay bill, she told loca airtel agent to adjust bill against deposit paid initially. Local agent told that Airtel changed policy and one can get refund of deposit only after 12 months. I asked the same thing in writing then they clarified that one can get refund only you cancel the phone... Only god know what is their actually policy...
I feel like I am cheated badly... I complained about the local airtel agent but there is nobody to hear me and instead of talking about my deposit refund they are concerned about their outstanding amount...
Friends, I was encouraged to read this complain board and I decided not to pay my current bill till they adjust my deposit amount and also I am planning to recover my business loss due to disconnection of my airtel no due to their fault and wrong promise...

Disconnection of network!
I took an Airtel prepaid connection 2 months before.I submitted all the required documents for Identification proof. Inspite of that my phone connection is disconnected by Airtel saying that I have not submitted my documents.I have a lot of balance left in my phone. I have to go again and again to their center for the complaint. As I am a busy person I cannot do that.

Very bad customer service!
Myself is Asif Eqbal. I am a AIRTEL mobile service user, my cell no is 9831098615. I sent a SMS on 10-07-2007 on mobile number 09417223994 but message sending is failed, instead this they cut charges for this SMS. when I call to customer care then they are not accepting to refund balance. This is only one example, but type of problem always happens.

Caller tunes and bill!
I tried selecting caller tunes from Airtel home page and i could not even see the full list of song. its so time consuming that i ended up not selecting anything. if at all they are providing such a service why don't they make it a consumer friendly and easy to search for a song. The second thing is that, airtel never dispatch my phone bill on time meanwhile they will be sending me SMS again and again that my bill is over due. I call customer care told them i will not pay my bill until i have the hard copy of my itemmised bill. They say it will be delivered in one day. I waited it didn't come and all of a sudden my phone wasn't working anymore, Fortunately i had another HUtch connection otherwise i would had been incommunicado! I went to airtel office they told me i had to call up customer care 121 number and requested for duplicate bill for which rs.50 will be deducted... I got so piss off, I told them "just for you Airtel people to do your work i.e. doing what you were supposed to do, I had to pay for more? it sucks! really... Could finally solve the problem after few days... pathetic! The next time if it happens again, i will not pay my bill also i will throw away my sim.

Fraud of credit card
I have purchased a sim card of airtel. While purchasing I informed the sales person that bill should not paid through my credit card.as copy of credit card given to him as I card.
But was embarrassed to see that the bill is paid by credit card without informing me.
Customer beware!!!
