Wrongly deducting my GPRS charges and poor customer service!
I had deactivated my GPRS service, I even got a confirmation message from airtel. but for 18 days now the problem is not rectified... even its customer service sucks...

I am the no Holder of 9938591403 . On 30th June I have received one message regarding the download of Kishore Kumar Song. Instead of deleting the message I have pressed one number by which I heard the song of Kishore kumar . Suddenly I have switch off the mobile . in the evening when I tried for a call then I found I have No Balance,
In this contest I have enquired from your office though a local dealer & your people told him that I have activated 2 times the GPRS service 2 times and my balance is (-) Rs 600 or like that.
Is this your service that without my knowledge you have yourself activated GPRS service 2 times& Deducted my balance. Shall I discontinue ur service Please Advised

Most disco-ordinated Service and Delay in activation of replacement sim!
I have an Airtel Corporate connection for almost 6 years now. From the day I converted the number to a postpaid I have had so many problems that it is impossible to think that they mean anything they say in their ads - "Express yourself!!" Indeed!!!!
When I asked for an auto debit facility for my bills they switched my credit card number with someone else’s. As a result of which they did not collect my first month’s bill! I had to take half day leave to rush back and go to their office to pay the bill!
Never have I seen an organization where there is so much confusion about their services! They really take the cake at goofing up thing and being confused about services and time line and so called “ Rules and Policies!!”
The most recent headache has been on getting my replacement sim activated!
All of a sudden yesterday for no apparent reason the sim stopped working. I had to drive almost 30 km to pick the replacement sim and was told by a call center exec that the corporate services group would be available to help me. I reach there and find that the corporate services group does not work on Sundays! After waiting for nearly 30 minutes some one gave me a sim and I was promised it would be activated within 4 hours. I double checked with the person as it was a Sunday he told me - "It does not make a difference. It will definitely get activated within 4 hours!" Nothing happened till 10 pm. I called the call center to check and was informed that the department does not work on Sundays! What's more it would take them 2 full working days to complete it. So even if the minimum time is 4 hours I will have to wait almost 2 days to be able to use my phone.
This after spending nearly 2 hours trying to reach someone who might give me proper information. My phone is yet to be activated! Their call center folk have the worst attitude and are misinformed to such a level that they break all records on goofing up!!!
They charge us all kinds of services charges and taxes and we still have to do ourselves the service if we want any! They don’t even have a call back service for the customer! They would rather have corporate sector employees wait endlessly online for one of their Supervisor who will only talk to give us more crap than correct information or service!!!
By far Airtel provides the worst and the lousiest service I have ever experienced!

Poor service!
I have taken a Postpaid connection on 9963911155 from one of the authorised dealers from airtel by completing all the formalities, for the initial 3 days services were good but from the fourth day my calls were barred without any intimation as the verification guys were unable to trace the residential address. I have called up the customer care department who have asked to me confirm my address details and registered a complaint on 26th and promised to solve the issue within 72hrs,on failure of the same i contacted Mr.Siva Prasad on 29th who informed my services would be activated in 1 hr but till date my outgoing calls are barred and when contacted MR.Siva Prasad (Customer Care Executive) he said my services would be activated at the earliest.
I DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE REASON FOR THE DELAY WHEN ONE OF THE VERIFICATION AGENT HAS VISITED BOTH MY OFFICE AND RESIDENCE ADDRESS AND VERIFIED THE DETAILS. WORST PART NONE OF THE CUSTOMER CARE BOTHER TO CALL BACK OR SOLVE THE QUERY. I HAVE BEEN INTERACTING TO 5 CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVE AND ONE Mr.Gyaneshwar (9866940001) AIRTEL OFFICER WHO JUST HUNG MY CALL STATING HE WOULD CHECK AND GET BACK ON 27TH. TILL DATE THERE HAS BEEN NO EFFORT FROM THE ENTIRE TEAM.
MY ONLY QUERY IS INSPITE OF PAYING ADVANCE RENTAL,DEPOSIT AMOUNT AND FOLLOW UP WITH CUSTOMER CARE NOTHING HAS CHANGED AND TO TOP IT ALL MY MONTHLY BILL HAS BEEN DISPATCHED TO MY RESIDENCE ADDRESS WITH MY CALLS BEING BARED WHY SHOULD ANY CUSTOMER BE INTERESTED TO CONTINUE WITH AIRTEL???

Poor service!
I have received a scheme from airtel dat recharge with Rs 444 and Rs 395 talktime with one year validity on 26th of june. I have done the recharge on same day, but i have not received the validity till now, already three days have been passed. I have launched a complaint and my complaint nos is 063004451800,but the complaint have not been looked after. They are not replying properly and my incoming is also closed.
People beware!!!

Wrong balance cut
My cell connection is issue my mother name my complaint is date 22-06-2007 my fifteen rupees balance is automatically cut with out any service active or call customcare office we speak i have no forwarded your complaint because system update is proceeds is start.

Poor service!
Outgoing on my phone had been barred as Airtel demanded that I pay the bill. I have according cleared my bills on 28th of june 2007. I was told at the airtel office that my phone will be activated within 2 - 4 hours.
It has been more than 20 hours now and outgoing on the phone is still not activated. Have tried to get in touch with Airtel through their customer care. What I here from them even after 20 hours is that my phone will be activated in 2 - 4 hours.
When I asked the customer care agent to provide me a no. where I can log in an official complain, I was given a no. which leads to a fax machine. I agree with another consumer who has logged in a complain on this website that dialing the customer care for Airtel is a pain in the ***. A constant jabbering of the airtel offers keep on happening, and there is no option anywhere to go to the previous menu or to speak to a customer care agent.
Airtel experience of mine has been a big disappointment. Unfortunately for me, I cannot change the connection as it is an official no. and all the employees of the company are using airtel connection. Do not know the customer service quality of hutch but would definitely recommend people to go for it.

Poor service!
I have applied for activation of duplicate sim. They can't solve this great technical problem after 14 requests. My humble request to all my friends who wants to get a new connection, please don't go for AIRTEL. You may not find better service anywhere in india, but at least you don't have to pay big bucks for the worst service.

Poor service!
My no. had been deactivated by Airtel as they wanted the bill to be cleared. I had immediately cleared my bills in the nearest Airtel office. I was told then that outgoing on my phone will be activated within 2 - 4 hours.
It has been close to 20 hours now and the outgoing has not been activated. When I called the customer care of Airtel, the agent again repeated that the outgoing will be activated within 2 - 4 hours. I also agree with one of the previous consumers who have logged in a complain at this website. The customer care service of Airtel is a pain in the ***. First of all, it takes god knows what to be able to speak to an operator. The airtel offers don't seem to have an end. Also their is no option of being able to go back to the previous menu.
I also asked the customer care agent with whom I was able to speak to, to provide me with a no. where I can log in an official complain. I was given a no. which led to a fax machine.
Unfortunately for me, I cannot change my no. as it is a corporate connection and all the employees of my organization use airtel. I am not aware of the quality of customer care of hutch or idea but would definitely recommend people to switch over to those services rather than using airtel.

Unable to stop to ringtone facility
I am having prepaid connection of Airtel. Since last 2 months, I am contacting on 121 No. & our local area Airtel office, but till date my facility has not stopped & monthly Rs. 40 are cutting through my balance money.
Airtel has provided facility through sms no 666, & I want to stop that facility. No any responsible authority looking towards this problem.
