Delayed from prepaid to postpaid connection
I have registered for Airtel Prepaid connection to Postpaid connection. The Customer care Executive said me that there is no verification needed for the changes. They collect the Amount from me and now they are delaying to convert it from prepaid to postpaid. When i called them they didn't pick up the phone/cut the phone.

Warning for barring of outgoing
I have not paid my bill for which the due date was 11 june 2007 and bill amount was Rs. 1348.11 only and my credit limit is Rs. 2600.00. I have received so many calls from airtel after 11 June 2007 before that there were no call from their side except some autogenerated SMS. Today some airtel executives has made me a call from 9880095170 and told me that your outgoing will be barred by 23 june if you will not pay your bill. Why all they are harrassing us. even they will take Rs. 50.00 for late fee.

Can't send and receive messages from Yahoo
I am not able to login with my mobile no.9892574785 in yahoo messenger. I am not able to send nor receive any messages from yahoo messenger.

Irresponsible behavior in spoiling roads / infrastructure
The neighbor next to our house has got an Airtel broadband connection. The cable was laid by digging across my house. When contacted the guys who laid the cable told that the trench will be closed and concrete will be laid over. After few days the concerned people came over and closed the trench and cemented only within the premises of the neighbor who had bought the connection. Rest off the trench from the main road till our neighbor's house was left open. I have been contacting various airtel people from the broadband agent , the concerned area engineer, the contractor etc...

For the past one and half weeks without any use. The trench now is filled with water from first monsoon rain. Airtel shows 0% responsibility towards the roads / infrastructure they are spoiling towards expanding their business. This is unacceptable that some XYZ company spoils the infrastructure developed by government from tax payer's money for their own interest.Will concerned people wake up and take note...

It is so frustrating!
When ever you try to activate Roaming... they say Regional Roaming is not available... but say Airtel Roaming is available... but finally when you reach your destination... your cell phone becomes a antique of no use :( no signals... nothing... even though there is airtel network in the area...

Call up the customer care... you get all kinds of reasons... ranging from

*** You need to select the network manually tried this second time when I was on roaming... with no results!

****Airtel Roaming was not active if it was not active then how did I get the message saying it is...

It is so frustrating...

Unsolicited missionary messages
I have been receiving unsolicited SMS in my mobile phone bearing No.9940424511 from May 22, 2007 from a missionary organization called 'Siloam Ministries' on a daily basis at late night which hurts and derides my religious beliefs and principles. I have not registered my mobile number with them for receiving those messages and hence they are SPAM/Unsolicited messages.

Mine is a new mobile and I purchased it on May 19, 2007. As such the only place I filled up any form relating to my mobile phone (Airtel Connection) is while I purchased the phone from a showroom called "GLOBE MOBILE" situated at No.138,Greams Road. I have a strong suspicion that my mobile number would have been passed on to 'Siloam Ministries' by some persons in "GLOBE MOBILE" or Airtel Service provider personnel.

Dealers provide wrong information
Airtel Dealers provide wrong information regarding the scheme provided by Airtel. I ask about this to customer care they say u have to call us to gate any information, But when ever I have tried to call customer care about 10 to 15 minute to contact then.

Horrible customer care service
I am holding mobile no. 09898851130 for last two year as a prepaid customer. I have approached you local office at VAPI for converting my mobile from Pre-paid to post paid that was my biggest mistake; I have done in my life!!!

One of their local officer representative Mr.Gaurav holding mobile no. 09898752569 has explain the scheme and requested necessary documents. I have handed over Photo copy of following documents

1. Photo copy of Pan Card.

2. Residence Electric bill

3. Photo copy of my Prepaid SIM Card along with SIM.

4. Photo copy of my ID card (Employee ID CARD)

I asked their representative that if you want any more documents I will provide the same, He told me that this will do. I have requested that I need national roaming free, he told me that you need to deposit Rs. 500/-. I have visited their office on 05th June, 2007. Same day they have disconnected my present working pre-paid mobile no. 09898851130.

Next day morning I have receive the new SIM card, I have activated the SIM on same day. On 07th June, 2007 I have deposited Rs. 500/- refundable deposit vide receipt no 2282. of Global Communication, Jay Tower, Wing "B" Shop no. 1,2,3, Selvas road VAPI - 396195.

Till date my STD facility not activated though I have requested in the beginning and requested deposit also deposited. Same was informed frequently to your customer care number 121 but sorry to say no response.

Suddenly, I have received the message that your document not received so you service will be disconnected. I am surprised with this message and I call Mr.Gaurav that what is happening. He told me I will look in to the matter and accordingly I will take the action. Nothing was happened, lastly I have approached on your customer care mobile no. 09898012345 your customer care executive inform that you have not deposited latest proof. I said ok I will submit the same REF No is 466715144. I have submitted the latest document very next morning around 9.00 AM 13th June, 2007. Up to evening 06.30 no action was initiated by local office and suddenly in the after noon my SIM was deactivated without informing me. I have again personally approached the office around 06.30. I meet Mr. Amish your customer care representative; I asked the contact no of your customer care executive they have given me the Mobile no. 09898552355. He told me that your mobile will be activated within 15 minutes. I inform your CC Exe, that tomorrow I am going MUMBAI so I need the phone, he said ok I will personal look in to the matter.

UNFORTUNATELY till today my SIM WAS NOT ACTIVATED.

Today, I have again approached the local office. I meet Mr. Amish, I requested him that I want to discontinue my associating with your service. Please return my prepaid card as well as deposit amount. He told me that we don't have the power so need to come tomorrow for cancellation.

Looking to last 10 days experience, It was horrible. All adv. effort put by AIRTEL are going in to drain. They are not able provide the existing customer how we expect they they will provide to new customer.

International calling card is not working
I have purchased AIRTEL International calling card on 12/06/2007 in Bangalore. I came to Seoul and called the number for korea which is provided in smallbook which I got along with card. Then I dialed the number in the card. I got the message that CARD is NOT ACTIVATED. Bullshit. Then call is diverted to operator. Operator connected the call to some call center agent. She informed me that card is not activated. Now I can't call my home. Cheating!!! I can say its cheating by AIRTEL. Not sure whether AIRTEL will give my 500 Rs back. I guess they DON'T.

Sim card not activated!
I purchased a new sim card of airtel which bears the number 9971637848and the sim card serial is 8991100612101614207 i purchased this card yesterday i.e on 14-06-2007 and this sim has not been activated till today thats 15-06-2007. Would someone care to see what's wrong ?
