I.S.D. activaction problem
I am the using airtel post paid connection since 1999. I am caring the same no. In 1999 i deposited Rs.3000/for the local call, Rs.3000/ for the S.T.D. and 18th or 19th AUG2002 i deposited Rs.7500/ forI.S.D. roaming and phone was working out of India. Now i went to china i informed airtel that i am going china on such an such date please make sure that my ISD is active or not then person told me it will active with in a four hour. I went to china phone was not working then i send the s.m.s from my friend's phone then i got the sms that i must deposit Rs.7500/ for this. I can not understand what they are doing, when i came back from china then again i called customer care then EXU. was telling that it was wrong it was our mistake your deposit is with airtel Rs.7500/for ISD roaming i am sorry you will not face any problem in future. But who will cover my lose?

No activation after 12 hours
My cell no 9945013814 was submitted for issue of duplicate sim card and activation. The duplicate card was immediately. Activation was ensured in 6 hours but even though it is more than 15 hours it is no activated.

Scheme withdrawn without any notification

I am really fade up of making calls to ur help line... Let me put up my case over here... I had bought the Airtel prepaid SIM in July 2006, and in the same month i had activated the STP call charges as Re 1.00 with Rs.25 as weekly rental charges for the same... I was really happy with that service but the issue opens after Feb 2007, somehow the scheme has been withdrawn without any notification... and since Feb 2007 i had made so many calls to ur help line but of no use... i am still fighting to get it activated same ... Let me tell you if this is the behavior if u guys will continue then sorry i would have to stop using Airtel from now onwards...

Airtel made me cry
I was the customer for airtel for past 2 and half years. You can check my details. 9894827156 (prepaid) and I changed into postpaid 9940097264 (postpaid). Here is the big issue i activate my mobile office there was some conflict my bill came around 4500, so a young lady from airtel her name Brinda 9940039767, call everyday and ask about my bill to pay. On day she call me and told me to pay any means by this month, i told personal problem i can pay next month and spoke so rude and even me start speaking so rude i said to one who near me shut up and she start using abuse words. And She Told me there were no evidence to complaint her, but being a gal she can put me in trouble, even she said f**k and i asked to her y u said she told me kindly stay on line I will connect this call and she connect me to my sister number and asked to me what is mean by f**k to my sister. And last she told, she have evidence for what ever i spoke but I am not having evidence for what ever she spoke.

Sales promises not kept up
Promises made by the sales executive at the time of shift from post paid to prepaid:

1. Rs.199 monthly charges
2. Itemized Bill -waiver for 3 months
3. 600 free airtel to airtel calls -validity lifetime
4.1000 free sms airtel to airtel-Validity Lifetime
5. Clip charges viver for lifetime.

Subsequently promises 4 and 5 have not been kept. Everytime customer service is called, (more than half a dozen times)they throw company policy and excuse the promises made by an AIRTEL EXECUTIVE as a mistake.Who Is going to pay for the mistake not the customer surely.

List of customer care executives spoken to and the complaints numbers registered:

1. Angel-may23, 9-30 and 10 am. she put me on hold for 5 minutes and disconnects after making me wait for many minutes. Also promised that she would ask her manager to call me back.
2. Complaint registered with Ajay on 16th May. Complaint No-12544157- call got disconnected after being put on hold. -complaint not resolved satisfactorily
3. Complaint registered with Manjunath on April- 20 complaint no 12275298. Complaint not resolved.
4. Complaint registered on 2-15-2007, complaint number- 11518655. Website say Sales executive not available and hence complaint is closed. The issue not resolved.
VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH AIRTEL FOR NOT BEING ACCOUNTABLE AND MAKING FALSE SALES PROMISES.

Money deduction without any usage of service

I m your prepaid subscriber using 9890475540 since 4 years.

Earlier before using ur services in Maharastra, i was using your services in Gujarat too. n was quite satisfied with the services n have recommended n later have used your post paid connections for my organization.
It was a positive image in my mind about Airtel and I have chosen Airtel in Maharastra. But after quite a long time I m finding this is very difficult to continue or refer your services to any one.

My Major escalation is that,

1- I don’t have your proper coverage both in my residence as well in my office area i.e Dhanori rd & Kondwa Pisoli, the whole day in my office coverage comes and goes, maximum time i m out of the coverage area, (this is really surprise me when i see your TV Commercials stating that you have the widest network.), where as i m located in an upcoming IT City of Country. And it should have the network all the corner of the city.

2- Last month i was debited quite for 3-4 times for using some value added services. For my surprise i m not aware about if i have used ones? ya I have accepted one i have continued caller tone for another month but beside that i haven’t ? But still I was debited the amount.

After being debited when i have tried to find out why i was debited, i have called your call center. But for my surprise your call center in on answering machine, no body is there to attend your queries. I have tried several times and several numbers. But no result all in vain.

I think for Pre Paid connections, airtel doesn't feel to give services? Since last two years i was using Idea along with your service, n i was quite satisfied with it. Know in another company we are using Reliance Connection, they have the proper network all over in India.

At last being an old n loyal customer my request to please refer my case. I m waiting for the positive response regarding my concern. I believe Airtel believes in customer satisfaction n value each n every customer. Waiting for positive response.

On 18.5.2007 again Approx Rs. 100/- was deducted from my prepaid amount. Rs. 30/- was debited for my Caller tune, but I m fail to understand Why Rs. 70/- is deducted from my account.

Being a loyal customer, still I m waiting for the reply, don’t force me to make this issue in public, I know how to flash this matter up. I will make it in both print n electronic media.

Waiting for replay and credit in my account.

Do not treat customers properly!
I am (was) an airtel Suscriber since 2004, Gujarat, Bangalore respectively. I was so impressed by the service of Gujarat and Bangalore. therefore, when i started job in Hyderabad with my present company, I intended to take Airtel connection. I am very sorry to say that service in Hyderabad is below average, i mean very BAD.

My connection has been disconnected without prior notice . when enquired, they stated that due to lack of relevant proofs, house address. I had submitted all relevant document to the Airtel official who came to our office and initiated for the connection.

After disconnecting the line, I have contacted the Airtel official several times, even I have personally handed over my residence proof (House Agreement) to the Account Manager. He assured me reactivation of the connection, till date it s not been activated, apart from that the so called officials are not attending my call too. till date no action has been taken from their side.

This made so much inconvenience in fact big trouble to me; Officially and personally. Therefore I am forced to disconnect Airtel connection and go for some other connection.

Please do not negelct any customer like this! You do not treat customers properly!

Disconnection of my mobile
On 20th May, 2007 at 8.30 AM, I did refilling for my pre-paid mobile and till 9.45 AM, 21st May, 2007 ( 25 hours later), my connection is still not on, thus I am neither receiving nor able to make calls from my mobile. This is after assurance from Customer Care on 20th noon that connection will be on soon. Now, when I am calling Customer Care, no one comes on line.

VMS deactivated without notice
I have brought to the notice of Airtel Mobile Services on several occasions that my Voice Mail Service once activated was deactivated (without my knowledge) and activated (on my talking to them) and once again deactivated (without my knowledge). Is this company playing a regular hide and seek activity with their customers or is it always necessary to lodge your complaints with the complaint board to make them function properly. Please note that I am not interested in their connection for payment only but for their prompt services too.

The manner in which their customer service department handles their issues they could be running out of my and other good customers business soon, may be they are not interested in individual business and writing on this site is a way I could warn my friends and acquaintances. During the last discussions with their customer service I was informed that the VMS is active; which was a blatant lie. This company teaches persons to tell lies and lies only, with such bogus staff they deserve a royal blast.

I get calls from their customer service departments like "liar kings" of Airtel (at the back of my arse) and also with Text message (SMS) that they are trying to contact me when I am on a flight and that they would call after 4 hours but no call is received. Why do this company live on lies and money out of lies? May be that's the easiest way to make money for them.

They have to change their attitude towards public service or this company will certainly be listed in most complained list (82 now) internationally and will be soon in the gunnies book of world record for lies and a lousy service.

I think this is cheating their ignorant management and the Indian public, besides the shareholders by persons not responsible for their actions and consequences, for a quick buck.

Hope the message is clear and I expect their reply at the earliest and also stop this fooling business soon. The irony is that their web service is redundant for lodging complaints and servicing the needs of the customers, but only for their payment details.
