Illegally debiting money without using services
Airtel made a deductions on almost daily for gprs usage activation for nearly fifteen days even after its Deactivation in the month of march. and that too even after repeatedly reminding them. I got a rfund of Rs. 35.00 after a few days. but as far as i remember these gyes deducted almost Rs. 203 which is confirmed by their Cust. Care Exec.
No refund yet.
I think it is the most hopeless mobile service in India or may be in the entire world.

E-recharge successful but balance is NIL!
As I did E-recharge on 27th April at around 9:33 pm for Rs1225/- on my mobile # 9880086718 and followed by this I got E-recharge successful message also from airtel. But the amount 1002/- did not get credited to my balance account. After that I tried calling customer care through my mobile but the there were no option in IVR so as to reach to customer care people. So I went on to reach Airtel office near jayadeva hospital, bannerghatta road. And I lodged one complaint having # CINEY042717041600 and they said they can’t help right now as its 11:30 pm and no technical backbone was there. Without getting any help and assurance I had to come back disappointedly.
Now next day morning (i.e. today) I talked to customer care people through one landline phone. And I talked to Mr Sridhar and Mr. Kumar (Supervisor) and they give me assurance that it will get rectified by 6:30 pm evening. Hoping to see get it rectified…
Having done this I wanted to know the mental harassment myself and my family and friends faced when they could not contact me during emergency. Who is going to compensate this?? and I had to make call to them from outside landline. Is this not a pain???
My Appeal to all customer care executives “please please please do not ignore any customer complaints, take them seriously and fix them instantly”
Regards,
Subrato

Verification process mistake
Hi guys,
Be happy that Airtel is going to close all their shops soon... by their service.
A person from Airtel came to my office at the end of March for address verification and he gave a call from my office. I informed him that this entire month (March), I would be in night shifts, so u can come at any time in April for that purpose. I was roaming in Tamilnadu from 01/04/07 to 06/04/07. But my number has been disconnected from 02/04/07 to 09/04/07 stating the reason that “Address verification was not completed”. I was unable to receive or make calls during this period). I registered a complaint from Tamilnadu to the customer care on 02/04/07. To resolve this complaint I had to struggle a lot even after coming to Bangalore.
After that my mobile services has been again disconnected on 24/04/07 stating the same reason that “Address verification was not completed”. The funniest part here is that I had received my current month’s bill to the billing address that is not verified and I had even paid that on 24/04/07. I contacted Mr. Pradeep from Customer care around 9PM on 24/04/07. He informed me that my services would be activated within 4 (four) hrs. He also fixed an appointment with me for address verification on 27/04/07 at 10 AM. As the problem continued I again contacted Priya from Customer care at 11:45 AM on 25/04/07. She also sang the same song that “Ur services would be activated within 15 minutes”. At that time I was wondering about their commitment. But they have proved that they would never follow ur words. Again I contacted Mr. Abdul from Customer care around 8 PM on 25/04/07 and he put me on hold for nearly 20 mins to re-connect to Manager. But that call was disconnected from their side.
Finally I came to conclusion that it is purely waste to speak by phone and I decided to meet the Manager, Customer relations at Bannerghatta Road, Bangalore. When I was entering I was given a token number 365. I was waiting for my turn. But my bad luck continues there also. The counter number was also bypassing from 358 to 369. When I enquired about this, he was responding that ur are not available while calling.
Finally I met Mr. Rinesh, Manager. He was listening to my complaints and informed that “ur service would be re-activated within 30 minutes”. As the problem was not resolved, I met him after 1 hour. He was casually telling that ur account has been deleted completely and it would be re-activated within a day. The worst part is that he asked me to adjust with the problem. Till now my service has not been restarted.
#2) I activated Hello tunes on 27/03/07. Within a month I had made 3 complaints for disruption of this service.
There was 0% commitment in their service from Manager to Executive and there was no mistake from my side at any instance. Im having all the necessary documents with me. If I did not get apology letter or compensation or refund from you, there is no other way instead of going to the Consumer Court.
If they are continuing with this type of service, very soon they will see ur end.

Airtel not taking any action against customer who are using phones for wrong purposes
My wife received a call from Airtel customer and he started talking all vulgar things. We have immediately lodged a complaint at local police station. There I came to know that there are already 4-5 complaints against the same number.
I have referred this matter to AIRTEL center at Thane. They said they are helpless and they can't do anything about this.
I asked them if you have received 4-5 FIR's against hte same number you should immediately give his details to Police station.
They said we cannot bar the calls from this number nor we give any information.
I think AIRTEL is not following up standards of keeping customer data for prepaid customers. They are really worst people at AIRTEL. They are just concerned about their sales.

Balance deduction for no reason
I'm a customer of Airtel since July 2005, from before some months, they are deducting balance from my Prepaid Account for no reason, when I called the customer care and told my problem, they told me to hold the call for 30 seconds, I waited for 1min, never mind, but after that they had disconnected my call. I thought some problem was there, when I called them again same procedure went.
After some days I called the customer care again, now, what a silly reason, they had told me that I have downloaded a Video from Airtel Live! I told them it needs a GPRS phone and I don't have GPRS phone at that time. But they were not listening to me.
Now I'm confused what should I do? I can't leave because I have given this number to many persons, and it will be loss in my business if I'll leave the number.

Switch from postpaid to prepaid - service not yet activated!
I switched from postpaid to prepaid on 10th Apr 2007. My cell No. is 9892305265. I paid Rs. 850/- towards my last bill and Rs. 200/- towards Refilling charges for prepaid SIM. My postpaid services were deactivated from 12th Apr 2007. I received postpaid bill amounting around Rs. 500/-. Since than my prepaid services have not activated even though I personally visited ARC at Spectrum Tower, Malad, where I submitted my documents on 13th Apr 2007.
There is no satisfactory reply from Airtel.

Airtel refused to investigate ID Theft
I just discovered that an ID Thief purchased over $350 in services from Airtel.
After calling my Bank and going through the ID Theft dance, I decided to call Airtel to 1) Warn them that fraud was occuring 2) Try and cancel any unused service purchased with my debt card and 3) See if they would investigate it further and/or give me information on who used my debt card information.
1) The Airtel Reps that I spoke to told me that "it was ok, your bank will credit your account." Apparently they don't understand or care that a wrong has been committed especially as they are profiting from it.
2) No account was created with my name, so they claimed there was no way of tracking down the services purchased with my debit card. Although they allowed a user, under an account with a different name, use a credit card under a completely different name to conduct business. I asked them to track down the account of the person who used my credit card number, they refused saying they couldn't. Under any country's laws, they must keep complete and accurate records of all their transactions- what they were saying was that they didn't want to track down the user (their loyalties apparently lie with their "loyal" customers as opposed to the identify victims harmed).
3) They refused to investigate at all. They were happy that they received $350 of business, paid for by my bank. I can't understand how a company can operate like this without the Justice Department or FCC investigating them? As my bank credited my funds, its not like I can pursue them in court.
DON'T SUPPORT THIS COMPANY. Until they want to act as a responsible business, people should search elsewhere for their needs.

Irresponsible with the customer
Connection was disconnected as the verification was not done properly. For residence address verification the person has to visit customer place cross checking if the customer is available in the residence . They have return in the feedback saying that the customer is not given the address. Where as I myself have given the address, employee number, alternate contact number etc.
Over that the Airtel executive is making fun of the customer. They have not been responsible to check what is gone wrong and make the corrective action.

Non-activation of SIM Card!
I took a postpaid connection from Airtel. 6 days have passed and till now they have not activated the no given to me. I'm calling customer care services and they are telling that may be my documents have not been submitted. The concerned person have submitted all the documents and Airtel persons tell that they are working on it. Do not know when will it be activated! Their service is pathetic!
