This is extreme carelessness from Airtel
I have an Airtel add-on sim card. Airtel provides its existing post-paid customers with an additional sim card which could be given to anybody of the customers' choice. Mr. Ruchir Desai, Bangalore, was given one such card. He gave this card to me. He gets a consolidated bill.He is responsible for making the payments for his as well as my sim card. This is as per arrangement by Airtel.
Since last year, when I took the connection, I keep getting calls from Airtel office, sometimes at odd times (like 8 in the morning) enquiring whether I was Mr. Ruchir Desai and why I am not paying the bills! For the first few times, I patiently told them that I am not Ruchir Desai, who is the person actually responsible for payments. And I know that the payments have been made by Mr. Desai as long as there were no technical problems from Airtel's end. (And technical problems from Airtel, there have been many - from incomplete bills to server problems).
At the time of lodging this complaint, I am on roaming. I still get calls from them as if I were Ruchir Desai! I tell them that I do not want to be disturbed in this manner. They still harass me in the same manner.
Is Airtel a backward company who do not have information on who they are talking to? Strange. Is Airtel an insensitive company who keeps making the same mistakes over and over again despite strong appeals by the customer? Everytime, a different person calls up to irritate. He has no idea what I had requested in the previous conversation.

unauthorized recharge costs
shanthi traders located in besant lane, kodialbail, mangalore, karnataka, the shop keeper always asks for a rupee extra for each recharge. he even asks a rupee extra for a top up card. he starts a fight if people ask queries about this injustice. so i request to resolve this problem at the earliest and keep up your companies name. thank you

Airtel is stealing money in broad day light
I had recharged my prepaid phone with top up amount of INR 99 using Mcheck services. I have lifetime Validity on my card. after sometime i got a message saying that I have topped up with 10rs only... I was wondering what happened to the rest of the amount and called up the customer care division to sort this out. They were like the amount has charges towards the life validity on the card. Informed that I have validity for life time and I should be charged for something has already paid for. The agent was rude and cool to say that is how it works and no refund will be provided. Now I have lost 89 rs to something that I have already paid for. This is very frustrating and stealing money in broad day light...

disconnection of services(deletion of no. from database ) for no valid reason
respected sir,
i would like to warn all mobile consumers who are planning for airtel connection.plz refrain from using airtel connections, they are bloody thieves, charging for services which we have not subscribed to, and here is a new way of cheating customers, my mobile no.# 8128090896 (sim #899198090821260521 ) was switched off for one month and just yesterday i switched it on, it says unregistered sim, i contacted the customer care office, they said that the no. is deleted from the airtel database, there is no way u can restart it, i had nearly rs 70 in it . they had provided me with lifetime validity, if it says lifetime validity why the hell they deleted my no. from the database for not using for one month.this has happened the second time when i lost money and the no. too. when i go through all the consumer complaints i find that airtel has most no. of the complaints, they are unethical company, and i going to ensure the airtel company that i am going to the CONSUMER COURT regarding this(my no. being deleted & the charging for services which we have not subscribed to ), as i am not going to take this lightly & make the airtel guys pay for it & also, me and my 9 friends have decided to stop doing business with airtel and they are going to unsubscribe their airtel connection on ethical grounds.i dont know whether the airtel people care or not, but at least this will ring bells in the minds of the existing and future airtel customers.

fake subscription packs by airtel and deducting money
dear sir---
i am arif bhat very much frustated by the service subscription by airtel . they subscribe the pack services to my number and deduct the money automatically and then say that i have done this. they are looting the money like this in manner. please help me. the customer service of airtel is very rude.

Every month they guys are deducting money from my account
Many times I tried to call service center at last when I got connected and ask them to close few services activated on my cell. That person gave me a number and asked me to send sms to close the service I tried but couldnt send any sms. The number was showing Invalid...
Its very irritating, every month they guys are deducting money from my account. I need to ask them to close the services asap..

They had deactivated my services for non payment of the bill inspite of me making the payment
I have been overcharged by airtel. They had deactivated my services for non payment of the bill inspite of me making the payment. They now refuse to waive off the amount of Rs. 250 from my bill. It is their mistake and they are insisting I pay for it.

They only know how to take money of consumers but they are absolutely pathetic when it comes to customer service
I recharged my pre-paid airtel number through HDFC net banking.When I was doing so it didnot give out a confirmation which made me think that the transaction has not gone through.I made 5 transactions of INR 100.The money was debited from my bank account at the same time, however the balance has still not been transfered to my phone.I am appauled by the kind of service they are providing.I have launched 2 complaints but no one has bothered to call bankand give any update till now.They only know how to take money of consumers but they are absolutely pathetic whn it comes to customer service.

There server time is wrong and it is complete cheating to customers
According to Friend Scheme of airtel there are happy hours between 3 to 5 and 11 to 8 in which you can call any airtel number at 10 paise per minute. When i call at 3:25 at noon on 30-1-09 to airtel number they charges me at 1 Rs per call, it must be 10 paise per minute.when i call to customer service and ask about there server time then he told me that it is 3:10 at noon and actual time that time is 3:45 at noon .when there is server time is wrong then there is no possibility to enter a valid timing entry. There server time is wrong and it is complete cheating to customers. I want to take actions against them.
