Their service is bad and their CC is horrible
I took an Airtel pre-paid connection in June fo 2007, a budled offer for two years with Samsung mobile from Sangeetha. Ever since I tool Airtel service I have been facing problems. I think Airtel has the worst service and even worse customer care, arrigance oozes from them. My problem in the beginning was a confusion over the handset. I had bought Samsung bundled offer but CC(Customer care) kept on insisting it was LG. Then the offer (free 100 Airtel to Airtel per month) was not activated for nearly a month. My husband (who also had opted for the same service & offer) fought continuosly with CC and finallly was able to get everything sorted out. I came over from SPICE because I was experiencing severe connectivity problem with their service but their CC was EXCELLENT. I had high expectations from Airtel, However, their service is bad and their CC is HORRIBLE. This is the background.
Now for the present. My huband and I are facing connectivity problems with network. We are neither able to make calls nor receive them. We are facing this problem when calling some of Airtels numbers as well as when calling other service providers. When we tried to call CC, they are not even acknowledging the problem. They insist there is no problem with their service and that the problem lies either in handset or SIM (which ofcourse was provided by them). I tried to reason wiht them that it may not be a problem with handset as mine is SAMSUNG and my husbands is LG an that we are both facing the same kind of problem and that the SIM was provided by them. I just wanted them to stop telling me stories and tell me when the problem will be rectified as I feel crippled at times when there is dire necessity to use phone. However the CC executive said point blank that "Sorry mam that you feel we are trying to tell some storiy but there is absolutely no problem with our networ". I was so pissed off that I just hung up. My number starts with 99018, my husbands starts with 99021.

It has been a deep regret and I have never seen this sort of services from Airtel earlier
I am deeply disappointed with the service rendered by Bharati Airtel Ltd. to response to my complaint lodged with them around 25 days back.
The problem repeatedly communicated to them is that I am not able to login to their website to check my account details and use other functions. Every time I call them, they end up saying that they have called me back and I confirmed that the problem was resolved, whereas it was the case that I have either not received any call or if received have conveyed that I will check and confirm.
Even after reporting this 4-5 times, that the update refered through that call was incorrect, evetime again I call them the status remains same. I am being provided with different complaint number everytime and the status of all of these is found resolved after approximate two days when I call them again.
It has been a deep regret and I have never seen this sort of services from Airtel earlier.

The customer service has been very inefficient, and has caused us tremendous stress
Airtel has been claiming that my check has been bounced, when it has been cleared from the bank. Everytime we confront them, they apologise and say there has been a mistake. This way our landlineand broadband has been de-activated and activated over 3 times in two weeks.
The customer service has been very inefficient, and has caused us tremendous stress. Finally, they have said that theyll investigate and let us know. I dont see why the confusion, when we have even shown them the bank statement proving that payment has been made, and most importantly, they are not even returning the so called bouced check.

The only thing correct they have in their records is our billing address
Got our phone connection shifted from Gurgaon to Noida in mid February, since then the outgoing facility has not been activated. We have lodged atleast 15 complaints, everytime a new complaint ref# is provided with a promise to activate the services within the next 24 hrs but till date ( 2nd of May) no action has been taken neither reasons provided for non- activation.
The only thing correct they have in their records is our billing address to which we have been continuously receiving their bills, w/o any delays!!!
We have made multiple requests for a physical visit to eview the problem, but no action taken. Our mobile contacts have been taken multiple@ number of time with promises that they will get back, but no one ever called.

I would therefore strongly recommend all readers not to stop for an Airtel postpaid connection
I have been an Airtel post paid connection since the past 2 years now. This is my primary number and I was quite happy with the way it was managed. The trouble started when Airtel offered me an add-on connection to this number that I accepted.
Around the end of November 2007, I requested Airtel customer service to discontinue the add-on number. The customer service executive confirmed this on December 04, 2007 that the same was cancelled. Despite this, they have been charging me monthly rental for this add-on number for the months: December, January, February, March and April 2008.
I raised this issue with the Airtel Customer Service on February 28, 2008 and since then I have been tackling with their pathetic customer commitments. After a chain of email followups and calls to their customer care number: 121 - even till date (30, April 2008). I have so far made 14 followups in all across the last 2 months (9 emails, and 5 phone calls to 9845012345).
The irony of the situation has been that even now, month after month - they are charging me the monthly rental for this cancelled number, along with my primary accounts bill. The irony is that even whilst they ACCEPT that it is a problem from their side - there is absolutely nothing that is been done!!
I would therefore strongly recommend all readers not to stop for an Airtel postpaid connection.

Disconnection of services
THE SERVICES TO THE PROVIDED NUMBER (01143583589) WERE NOT DISCONNECTED EVEN AFTER PAYMENTS MADE .
LETTER WAS SUBMITTED TO THE TELECOM COMPANY AND WE RECIEVED COMPLAIN NUMBERS TOO.
THE COMPANY IS STILL SENDING US MONTHLY BILLS EVEN AFTER WE PAID THE LAST BILL OF MAY 2010.AND ASKED THEM TO DISCONNECT THE LINE.

NO REFUND OF SECURITY
To whomsoever it may concern .
This is to bring to you notice that what a disgusting sevice organisation you guys are coming out to be. all you people care about is opening of new accounts but their maintenence is never on your minds.
I have been promised my security refund since almost a year now and there is no sign of progress in it. I activated my international roaming in october 2009 where i paid a secuity of rs 6000 and now its almost been 9 months i am asking for a refund and all your customer care people know is to file a complaint and give a request no. with no form of feedback.
I have made numerous calls and got ample of request nos.
I am finally filing a case with consumer court because that is the last option, i am tired of receiving fake dates of getting my security check back.
