The Airtel company itself should be closed dow
This is the second instance of its kind. The Airtel Company itself should be closed down. They come up with various misleading promotional offers. Earlier I had recharged my cell with a big top up and later they sent in a promotional sms to make it life time. When I did fill in the extra amounts for lifetime they directly deducted over 100 Rs. from my account without intimating me. When I complained to 2 customer care executives neither of them reverted back.

Today I just got it refilled with the 222 topup and receieved the confirmation from the Co. stating that it has been recharged with Rs. 222 then after about 10 mins, without making a single out going call or sms, I smsed the Co. no. to check my balance as I had the previous bitter experience. Guess what friends this time I get a sms reply with my balance amounting to Rs. 122.41paise.

I would strongly recommend people not to choose Airtel
There is a seviour call dropping. I have registed a complaint with them, but no use. My number is not reachble for the past one month for people. I would strongly recommend people not to choose AIRTEL. AIRTEL not a leader in services...

Im looking for number portability to be extended tohyderabad sothat i can choose a better service provider without loosing the number.

This is the worst customer care i have ever seen
I am Joseph, a software professional working with Merrill Lynch india Technology Services, Chennai. I have taken an Airtel prepaid connection(No: 9791096465) on feb 15, 2008 from a mobile store, choolaimedu, Chennai. I had submitted address proof(election ID card) and one photo for activating connection. I got it activated on the same day. Feb 18th I left to mumbai for an official visit for 5 weeks. After 2 weeks I received a call from airtel that there is some mismatch in address proof and I have to resubmit the proof otherwise my connection would get deactivated. I asked them 3 weeks time as I was in mumbai, and they accepted my request. Things are fine up to this point and the second part of the story begins here..

One morning(20th Mar) suddently my sim card got deactivated without any intimation. I reached back at Chennai on 24th and I resubmitted address proof and photo at spenzer plaza airtel office on the same day. The guy who collected these details at spenzer office told number will get activated within 48 hours. After 2 days I couldnt see my number activated. I called customer care, and they told processing time is 72 hours! OK.. I decided to wait for another one day. Next day morning my friend called customer care, this time they were telling the sim would be activated before 10th April..!!!. Evening again i called them and one customer service guy told they have received all details and he will be activating this number in the next 3-4 hours.. And he told he will give me a call to my friends mobile. We waited for his call but nobody called.. He was telling he received all proofs..and I dnt knw what the hell he is doing there.. This is the worst customer care i ve ever seen.

The problem with this number is that all Vodafone users cannot call me on this number
I have been subscriber of Vodafone prepaid mobile from past two years.From past few months i have been facing lot of probelms with the network Vodafone was providing.I have been complaining almoist everyday.But no response from Vodafone."Sorry for the inconveninece.Problem will be rectified soon" was the mugged up default reply from the customer care.I decided to disconnect the connection and go for a new service provider.I bought a AIRTEL prepaid connection.The number i chose is a new series of number .The problem with this number is that all Vodafone users cannot call me on this number."This number is invalid" is the message what they listen when they call me.Airtel customer care say its Vodafone problem.Vodafone customer care says its Airtel problem.It has lots of inconvenince to me.Why are indian consumers taken fro grant by service providers?Please help me out!!

These people are not lifting when I call, and do not answer my emails too
Above number is the Nodal Officer number for AP. I recently converted my post-paid airtel connection to pre-paid and was told to make a payment. Soon discovered that the payment I made is excess of what is actually required. When enquired about the same, they (AIRTEL) said they will send me the cheque for the difference amount. Its been 6 months and I am contacting different customer support people and offices and none help me. None know what to do.

When I contacted their Nodal Officer support, they heard and also recharged my mobile with some amount as a token of satisfaction and promised that I will receive the cheque in 10 days. Its again a month since this happened and they have no clue what is happening. Now even these people are not lifting when I call, and do not answer my emails too.

Very highly frustrated.

I found that my balance has reduced by a certain amount without any reason
I have got a prepaid connection of Airtel since jan 2007. One day I found that my balance has reduced by a certain amount after I had last checked it although I had made no calls. I thought some of my roomies might have used the phone and so the deduction. I asked them about it and they said they havent. Then I became confused and discussed it with my friends. Few days after one of them suggested that I might have activated some plan and so the deduction but I denied. To check that out I called up the customer care to know the reality and to my surprise the daily decrement scheme had been activated on my number which I never seeked for. I asked them to deactivate it immediately but to no avail. They kept saying things will be done in next 48 hours, next 48 hours, and months passed, but the scheme is still running on my number. After 1 & half months I visited the Airtel Gallary at Ghatkoper to share my problem and they said within 48 working hours it will get deactivated, and so it was again to wait until four to five days again. I waited for 14 days and again visited the gallary, this time the lady named Poonam wrote a mail to the nodalofficer @ airtel .co.in and assured that my job will be done and I went to my room happily, but to no avail again. Even my connectivity to customer care had been stopped and I was not able to complain or communicate also. Third time I was very angry and after 15 days of 2nd visit I visited the gallary again and lost my temper while talking to Poonam and asked how can a brand offer such services. She replied "our servers r down mam". My next question was then how the money deducting servers r working fine and only updation servers r down. She just shut her mouth wid no answer, and assured me again of rectifying the things. Then I did not recharge my number till a week and again recharged while travelling back to home because I was travelling alone and had 2 be in touch wid parents as my train reaches my station after 36 hours of journey at 2.00 A.M in the night. And the most irritating thing was I recharged thrice wid the help of a frnd of 60 each i.e total 180 and was totally in touch wid evrybody while on train. But because of roaming I ended up wid my balance and only Rs. 3.something was left. As the train was late by 2 hours I went to sleep and after getting up at 3.00 A.M tried connect my father and the moment was so disgusting because it had again decremented my balance. I felt like yelling at the airtel People but helpless. I was so afraid of getting down at the station wid 3 luggages and imagining how do I stay in the station if father would not be there as this was the first time I was travelling alone. But my father is very much conscious about me and was ther before time at 3.00 A.M, and I could see him near my boogie at the station. That was the day I felt like shit for using airtel, but had no other choice, as changing d number at dat moment was nt worth. And the funny thing is the scheme is still running on my number irrespective of 100s of customer care complaints, 3 gallary visits, and 100s of DEACT messages. And this will continue the rest of my life if I do nt get rid of dat SIM which I actually wanted to continue wid.

I have a serious issue with the postpaid connection of Airtel
I have a serious issue with the postpaid connection of Airtel with the bill generation department. I have this connection for 3 months and I have been making payments of my pevious bills, but the organization does not have methodical or structural format for updating their systems and customer information for which I have been getting bills which cannot be possible. The updates given by the customer Service executive is not at all convincing and they do not have a valid explanation to give to the customer.

Avoid them like a plague
On 15 Nov 2007, i got a call from airtel on my vodafone mobile that a new airtel postpaid plan is launch which is of rental 125 pm. So i subscribe for that plan, next day airtel executive came and he gave me the sim and take the complete payment and document. One thing i found awkward here is he has not gave me any form to fill, when i asked him, he told me not necessary. and he also told me that you sim will activate in 24 Hr. But regretly up to one week my sim has not activate, then i call him again to executive, he said that there is problem with your document, i will come tommorow, but he fools me again, he has not came. Now today is 27 nov 2007, and still my sim has not activate, though in between i did lots of call to airtel help and to exective. but i get no response.

Company executive gave me the total wrong information regarding their service
I got a call from Airtel customer Care and they gave the information regarding their New service NOP (Net On Phone). Company executive gave me the total wrong information regarding their service as there is only Rs5 charges per day and after that everything is free. But when I got a message from Airtel that your service of NOP is activated and you can enjoy your mails @.15 paisa per mail. After that I gave the call to customer care on 10th of November and ask them to to deactivate my NOP service and the reply I got was that on 15th of November at 2 PM your service will be deactivated but on 16th of November i received a massage that Rs5 has been deducted from your account for the NOP service. So I gave a call to customer service and again I told the whole story and he again confirmed that your service will be deactivated till 19th of November and you will get the refund but again I got the same message from Airtel stating that Rs5 has been deducted from your account for the NOP service so again I called the customer service on 20th of November spoke to some Manager with the name as Vishal Kutvach and he told that he will personally look into the matter and by Monday 26th November my NOP service will be deactivated and and Tuesday 26th of November I received the same message again that Rs 5 has been deducted from your account fro the NOP service. Then I gave the call to customer service and wanted to speak to Vishal Kutvach and lady replied that he on leave then I spoke to Anish Sharma again I told the whole story and he told me that your service will be deactivate by 3rd of December. In between Rs5 has been deducted from my account everyday. If I count from 10th of November to 3rd December then it comes to 24days x Rs5 = Rs120 (One Hundred and twenty only) this much amount has been deducted from my account.
