Pathetic sales and customer service
I wanted to apply for an Airtel - Landline and Broadband combo plan and called a sales guy. He came in a day later than promised.
When he dropped into my office to collect the forms - he asked me to just sign on it and said he would fill in most of the plan details. I thought the poor guy must be super busy so did the needful as he asked me. Little did I know that I trusted the wrong person. he did not take the details properly - I mentioned to him I need a wi-fi connection (now he denys it). Said in 3 days the set up would be done.
After a week he calls me askin me which plan I required. He had not even made a note of it. And then on his own put down that we needed a regular modem.
A week goes by and no information. The guy does not respond to calls either. When we registered a complaint with them and threatned to go to the police (and consumer court) as he had a copy of my house rental papers and also pictures, Airtel said they would do the set up in 3 days and after following up with them again they sent a technician.
The technician was also yelled at by Airtel as I told him we needed wi-fi and he tried to set up the same. Airtel and the salesguy tell him that we only asked for regular modem. When I spoke to the Salesguy and told him he was not right and I would complain to the consumer court he says "Go tell anyone you want". He was very rude.
And the numerous complaints to them seem to fall deaf ears. Such is the service of Airtel.

Unauthorized Charge By Airtel
Hello Team,
My name is Saravana from Bangalore, Mobile # +919945404226.Would like to express the following concern and hope this would sorted out as soon as possible.
This happened when i dialed Airtel Toll Free # 5432160 to check the options and i heard options like press 1 to subscribe for Airtel chat and 2 to logout from chat. I never opted any option and made sure that i don't press any key by mistake and disconnected the call. The same day I called Airtel customer service line and spoke to ABHIMANYU to check if any value added services are been active and he placed my call on hold and came back to me telling there is NO Value Added Services Active on my mobile. The next day when i got up i got a message stating 30RS is been deducted and there was another message by an unknown number asking if I would like to chat with them. I immediately called the Airtel complaint number 198 this time and spoke to VISHWANATH (not sure if this was his real name). And this person was extremely rude on call and was shouting at the top of his voice on the call and never allowed me to complete my sentence (requesting you to barge his call). It sounded to me as if Airtel the company he is representing is more concerned to save 30RS rather than listening to a live person query. Vishwanath said the moment any customer dials the toll free # 5432160 its understood that he/she are trying to subscribe themselves for chat. I said the reason why I dialed the number was not to subscribe myself but then to hear the options available as it was a toll free number. He started shouting again and said there is nothing they can do and if i wish I can unsubscribe myself from the chat. So I said I would do that but then how can I get my money back. And he said they can’t refund any money as I never seek their advice before dialing the toll free number.
And now the situation has turned worst… I keep getting message from some unknown number asking if I would like to chat with them and every time when I get these message I get charged for the same and now my total balance is showing in negative( -5.67INR ) and I cannot make any call. I tried calling Airtel multiple times with no luck of speaking to a person who can listen to my query and can help me to get this sorted out and also to get refund on the money which is getting deducted for no mistake of mine. Hence requesting you guys the help me further.

Unnecessary money deductions from my account
I have complain about unnecessarily decduction of amount from my account, they r charging 4 that which I m not using in that sometimes message comes that deducted this for this vas download they even dont describe for what they r deducting, this generally happens when I go on roaming. Even Their customer Care executives give wrong information of which there are no norms, their customer care executives are need 2 have trained about their products. Even it is one of the worst service provider as I go to the roaming their customer care is chargable on STD rates, I m totally fed up of it plz help me I wana fight for it.

since i got the airtel connection, net was just received for 15 days then the connection was available from 9 a.m to 5.45 p.m.
please its my humble request to you kindly solve my problem as soon as possible otherwise i will not pay the bill.
i am very dissapointed for complaining since a very long time

Very slow GPRS
Compared to other service providers in India GPRS is very slow by Barathi Airtel.

My connection has been deactivated thrice due to some fullish reasons
Since I have opted for connection of Airtel on 6th Sept 2007, My connection has been deactivated thrice due to some fullish reasons and now they have disconnected it again and after calling customer executive they are not giving any reason for the same.

At my residence have no coverage
No response from last 1 year. I made a complain around 1 year before but till date no feedback from airtel gujarat. At my residence no coverage.

Worst service provider I have ever known
I needed puk number of my mobile phone and every time I call the customer care they tell me either their system is under upgradation or system is slow so please visit nearest airtel outlet. when I visit any nearest airtel outlet they ask me to contact customer care or airtel head office.. I am sick with this airtel service.. its worst service provider I have ever known..

My connection is 3 months old till date i haven't received the bill
As my company is reimbursing my mobile useage bill, i had requested for change of address from my residence to office address, a month back but till date i havent received the bill neither to my residence or to my office . my connection is 3 months old till date i haven't received the bill.

Scammers, cheaters and liars
One day I was alerted that Rs. 99 have been deducted since I had activated Airtels service for Cricket sms updates for Indias tour of England. The fact is I didnt do any such thing. Inspite of my complaints nothing happened(The person at the call centre said that we must have accidentally pressed some button to subscribe which is false). There I was watching cricket LIVE on the TV & getting those outdated updates reminding me of the Rs. 99 I had been cheated of.
