Tortured by airtel
I called Airtel customer care for the cancellation of my postpaid Add on as I lost my sim and hand set.The agent said that it is disconnected. But after 4 months I checked the hard copy of my mobile bill and i was still getting the bill for my add on. They take the money for my bill from my credit card so i was ignorant of this. After this I called around 20 times to disconnect the add on but they were insisting mr to take another number. I also paid around 1400 unnecessarily for the other number which they didn't refund. Its a very big torture. I am switching to Vodafone.

Excess amount deducted from Credit card
I had 2 psotpaid connection. And I had given my postpaid no. to conversion to prepaid connection. So I cleared my bill and un billed usage. After clearing all my dues the cheque was under clearing process. Whereas, the same amount was debited to my credit card through ECS.
Because of which the second amount which was debited to my credit card was refundable to me. But they also deducted the rent for the next month. so, After clearing all the dues, unnecessarily I have to pay Monthly rental for that number for 2 postpaid connection.
I want my money back. Kindly look into the matter.

Poor Services
I am Sujata, using Airtel since past 5-6 years. 2 Years as an employee in Delhi and then as a customer.
I know the goods and bads about it and have accepted both. For some reasons Airtel was always close to me.
As my boss 'Gopi' the COO for the UP East circle used to say. There are 100 people using Airtel. If you gv bad services. The 90 would just through it in a bin and move on to some other network. The 10 who took out some time to gv u a feedback and a chance. Respect them.
1 because of A R Rahman's tune which was my group's fav in college. 2. Cause I was an employee.(one of teh best employees of Airtel UP east)
Feeling bad at the state at which Airtel is now. I don't know if anyone would check my complaint, but writing cause want to.
Airtel is moving towards Relaince stage. Selling a lot of connections but not being able to assist the customers. Shame.
My last month's payment was 1000. Had recently joined a organization at Pune Satara Rd (I live in Koregaon Park and always make payments at the outlet in Kalyani nagar)
1st I kept calling customer services if sonemone could come and collect money from my house or office. As when I left for office the outlets were closed an when retured at around 9-10, they were closed. Agents said it can't happen. The online option was nt working for more than a week, i don't know why.
Finally I went to the Satara road outlet and wanted to pay by card, but the person there mentioned that there was no electricity so can only take cash and it will be updated only when electricity comes and so will nt be able to gv a receipt. I was ok with it as it has happened a lot many times at the Kalyaninagar outlet and I used to trust Airtel.
I had 700 cash which I made the payment from and forgot about it.
Since past a week i am getting calls, receiving sms about the payment which should be 300 of the earler amt left and 1000 which is this month's bill. I would have made the pay in 24 hours if it was just 1300 but the bill was 2000 as the 700 was never updated, either the guy kept it in the pocket or Airtel added it to its kitty.
I called up the customer services more than 5 times after listning and staying at the shitty IVR for more than 30 minutes every time I called. The agents as usual with their learnt script saying sorry and OK on everthing without undersatnding the meaning of it. Just for the heck of saying. The biggest mistake Mr. Mittal did was after taking a decision to outsource the customer services. I was proud of Airtel now I feel I am talking to the railway enquiry. It is so shitty.
I was promised call backs twice. It never happened. One got to speak to a supervisor 'YOGESH' > I bet my a month's salary he was not a supervisor. A bully who was just being payed for serving customers but he was not more than a teenager, who has decided not to listen to anyone even u die crying. I am ashamed of Airtel if he was really a supervisor.
Finally my outgoing calls got barred. And now nt in a mood to call up customer services and say the same thing which i have been saying.
Already spoken to Hutch and Idea people and will atke a connection by evening.
Feeling Sorry for Airtel who lost one the loyal customers.

Billing charged from my Bank a/c after cancellation
Dear Sir/Madam,
I have billed for continous 2 months using ECS from my Bank even after cancellation of my airtel postpaid connection. I have called enornous time and they have repeated informed me that my money will be refunded and will be charged for your airtel postpaid connection. I do not what I have to do.

deactivation
i have been cheated with postpid connection last month by one of the Airtel agents by name Mr. riyaz. My sim no is 899140021201388551. sl no 347976.
since the connection was thrust upon me by cheating me with some false ideas that the connection is a free offer for my inter connection bills paid in time.
Hence i would request you to kindly deactivate this number with immediate effect.
Inspite of repeated requests to your customer care officers to deactivate this line sice the connection was given to me no action has been taken so far.

frequent disconnection
i am having a connection of airtel (postpaid).my no is 9810548785.i stay in delhi.i am sick of complaining for the frequent disconnection of my calls ,specially while i m making ISD calls.inspite of my several requests n reminders nothing has been done til now except for a waiver of 250 rupees in my last bill that too when i told that i want to discontinue my coneection.if u see my bill record u wil find several cals to same no at the same given time which is because everytime i make a call it l b disconnected in few seconds n wil continue til i succeed.it causes unnecessary disturbance as well as extra charge. please resolve my problem at the earliest. i am fed up or disconnect my no.

Harrasment to customer over s bill that is already paid
I am a customer of Airtel
My mobile no. is 9810960960.

Bill no. 688657270
My latest bill shows previous balance for an Amount of
Rs. 1,142.49(Rs. 1092 + 50)
This previous bill of Rs. 1092 was to be deposited before last date 8 Nov.
I had made an online payment for the same as Rs. 1093 through online payment system of Airtel India by my citibank credit card on 7 Nov at 8.30 a.m.
Airtel at that time accepted the payment & gave my bank, Citibank an approval no. for this payment.
My bank has cited this no. as : 060875.
But, even after all this Airtel Billing department & customer care doesnt stop harrasing me. Everyday i get numerous messages, & phonecalls asking for this amount.
Payment that i have already made well before last date.
It should be noted here that I am not going to make the payment again.
I have given these details alongwith the approval no. to the customer care representatives, but the unethical & Unjustified demands & phonecalls don't stop here
I was even threatened that my connection will be disconnected.
I am warnig Airtel, If they dont stop such an unlawful act here & send me an apology letter & waive off these charges, the company might have to face repercussions in Consumer Court.
As for the Billing demands for this month, due on 9 dec. I have already sent the cheque, via drop box, at manav chowk, Rohini.
The amount in this cheque is Rs 427, as this is the amount actually due on me according to call charges Last month

Awareness about Airtel's Customer Service
Dear Complaints Board visitors,
Reason behind mentioning this issue in front of public, is to make awareness about Airtel's Customer Service:-
The Story starts from 6th September, 2007, On this day, I purchased two Sim Cards, (Postpaid/Prepaid) with a Government Scheme from Bandra (E) Samaj Mandir, my numbers:- Postpaid(9987163133) & Prepaid(9967430669). Actually my issue is against my postpaid connection, after couple of days my postpaid number has started, it continued for only four days, & suddenly on 14th September, 2007, my outgoing calls barred, because Airtel's verification department says my residence verification came negative, says didn't found the place, which I agreed. After that day, I went to Airtel Gallery (Chembur) for making a complaint against my address verification, they says, verification person will come on Monday 17th, 2007 at 6-8pm, but they didn't. Then, after doing follow-up continuously about the same, & replied that, they will come in coming days for address verification, atlast on 22nd September, 2007, they verified my residence proofs & rest of the documents to avail my Airtel Postpaid Connection.
As soon as my verification done, after couple of hours, my network goes off & also my incoming calls barred, on my mobile message displays "Sim Registration Failed". Then I called to 121, they says for postpaid queries or complaints, I have to call 9892012345, from any Airtel postpaid number or any Landline. Except my new postpaid number, i don't have any nearest postpaid numbers with me, Then I tried from my Landline (25558184) to Airtel Postpaid 9892012345. After completing all IVR instructions from customer care, It says "Please Check the number". Now main tense situation created on 24th September, 2007, I have received Airtel Bill, which is an amount of Rs. 312.52/-,
But my question to Airtel is, without using my new connection much, with the monthly rental of Rs. 200/-, my call cost is Rs. 0.25/- Airtel-Airtel, & other Rs. 0.30/-Airtel- Landline/any GSM, How come my Airtel Bill comes over Rs. 300+, & second is from past two days, 9987234865 Airtel Nodal Officer's number, Where not a single human being was picking-up.
Atlast, I got frustrated, only I found you as an option to intimate about Airtel's useless service, which they have provided, to the customer like me.

Please think about this, with negative address verification, how come airtel charged. Just imagine what Airtel is delivering customer support to the customers like me.

Wrong billing
I had taken Airtel post paid connection in May 2005 & upto April 2007 every thing was clear.
But in May 2007 they had informed over phone that they can renew the same number for Rs. 999.00 & accordingly I had deposited the same amount. But surprisingly they had withdrawn the facility of STD (FROM Airtel to Airtel) in Rs. 1/- with monthly charges of Rs. 30/- without any information, which was running since long .
When I received the bill, I immediately given the mail to them on 121 for the revised bill but they had refused to do so.
After that I had written so may mails for disconnection of my connection mentioning therein to adjust their wrong bills from the advance rental of Rs. 999.00 & they had adjusted the same & Rs. 164.00 was lying credit in my account In July 2007 Bill.
But surprisingly, some idiots has renewed my number without information in August for Rs. 999.00 (as I had already given them so many mails for disconnection) what is the fun.
Now they are harassing me & my family for the payment of wrongly renewal of telephone connection in August 2007, every day over phone.
Someone advise me what should I do. (Should I write to the CMD of Airtel or file a suit for compensation of harassment in consumer court).
