Poor response from customer care representative
My number is 9967307847. I have just converted my number into postpaid. Since than i started facing problems. They dont have good network after vasai road towards virar. I have made complaints so many times thru pco but the person sitting there on phone are just dumb. They even dont know how to talk with the customer. There communication skills are so poor. Now after seeing my number in their system they simply cut the phone.In the end i still have my cell without network.
I am planning to take vodafone connection since i am fedup with airtel. They only want their bill to be paid on time And dont care about the service.Delaying payment just for a day your number will be disconnected.
So, Please avoid taking airtel connection.

Calls barred on roaming even after payment!
I am really fed up of airtel now .. i ounce thought this was the best telecommunication company in india .. but its all too nothing i am with airtel from 97 with my number (9810098950) and right now i have byed a new number of airtel (9910291818) and i use this delhi number all over india for roaming purposes .. but i got a such a big headache juz due to their lack of service's .. i was in banglore when they called me that u have exceeded yr credit limit so pleas pay 1000 rs to be in services .. and juz after i finished the call i see that they have barred my services both incoming and outgoing .. i was completely without the phone now .. i went to airtel shop i enquired abut my bill and i paid all 3000 rs completely ... and the person assured me that my callz will start in 2 hours ... But if the callz wyld have been started i wouldn't have written this complaint ever .. u will really amazed after paying my bills completely and with unbilled amount of only 500 rs they have not started my callz till now its been 3 dayz that i have paid everything .. and My credit limit is 2800 rs .. as my old number which on the same billing address and same name has a credit limit of 64000 rs .. .. I tried calling evry customer care karnataka , delhi .. i made callz of 20 min's three times to customer care but all in vaid they alwayz say you lines will be realized withing 1 hour or 2 hour but still now they have not been realized .. i am really fed up of this caz i dont know how many businesses callz i have missed .. I am really thinking of going to court against them .. As i dont have any other choice, caz the menatl stress i am going throu is som much ,,, that i cant explain .. i came to karnatka for business, everyone over here has my number .. but they cant call me now ... I dont know what's wrong with airtel now .. RIP Airtel

Fraud & cheating!
I have given several letters to Airtel to disconnect the post-paid services under CUG plan. But they are not disconnecting and continuing to send bills to me.

Poor service!
I have been using the Airtel postpaid for over 3 years. Since I was traveling abroad I had requested for Deactivation and hold of my mobile connection to Saidapet Airtel Office in Chennai in Jan 07. They had replied stating that since I am a premium & loyal customer they don't have any issue in holding the number, which can be activated when I am coming back. Around end of July I came back and requested them for activation of my mobile number for which they said they can't and the number has been now moved to prepaid connection. When I said about the history they denied completely. We tried our level best nothing has materialized after that we went for new CUG connection with Airtel. I got my new SIM on 9th August and i have been told it will be activated by 11th August. Till today (i.e. 18th August) the number is not yet activated and the funny part is initially they had given me one number but now they are saying different, when I question them no one is giving me any proper response. I am really shocked to see the customer service of India's number one Mobile Company.

I canceled my postpaid connection 2 months before, but someone else using my same number and bill is coming to me.

SIM purchased not yet activated
I met a sales executive named Venu in my office DNETS, VTP, Electronic city, Bangalore. He provided me with a Airtel No. after submitting the documents and making a cash payment of Rs. 300. Till date the No. is not activated. The SIM is lying with me and I think that Airtel sells there SIM for which they do so many documentation & verification but, finally leave it without any care for the customer's money and there own name.

Lack of proper information and Delay in activation!
I have an Airtel Corporate connection for almost 6 years now. From the day I converted the number to a postpaid I have had so many problems that it is impossible to think that they mean anything they say in their ads - "Express yourself!!" Indeed!!!
When I asked for an auto debit facility for my bills they switched my credit card number with someone else’s. As a result of which they did not collect my first month’s bill! I had to take half day leave to rush back and go to their office to pay the bill!
Never have I seen an organization where there is so much confusion about their services! Wonder how they manage it - (Do we have an award for such a qualification? Else we might come up with for especially for Airtel! They will bag it every single time!) Masters of goof ups and Kings at being misinformed! Wow!! They take the cake.
The most recent headache has been on getting my replacement sim activated!
All of a sudden yesterday for no apparent reason the sim stopped working. I had to drive almost 30 km to pick the replacement sim and was told by a call center exec that the corporate services group would be available to help me. I reach there and find that the corporate services group does not work on Sundays! After waiting for nearly 30 minutes some one gave me a sim and I was promised it would be activated within 4 hours. I double checked with the person as it was a Sunday he told me - "It does not make a difference. It will definitely get activated within 4 hours!" Nothing happened till 10 pm. I called the call center to check and was informed that the department does not work on Sundays! What's more it would take them 2 full working days to complete it. So even if the minimum time is 4 hours I will have to wait almost 2 days to be able to use my phone.
This after spending nearly 2 hours trying to reach someone who might give me proper information. My phone is yet to be activated! Their call center folk have the worst attitude and are misinformed to such a level that they break all records on goofing up!!!
They charge us all kinds of services charges and taxes and we still have to do ourselves the service if we want any! They don’t even have a call back service for the customer! They would rather have corporate sector employees wait endlessly online for one of their Supervisor who will only talk to give us more crap than correct information or service!!!
By far Airtel provides the worst and the lousiest service I have ever experienced!

No connection received!
I was an Airtel Pre-paid user. But four days before applied for airtel postpaid connection I submitted all the necessary document and caution money of 500 rs., but still i don't get connection. They are delaying unnecessary. I think airtel have worst customer care service.

Worst services in the whole WORLD!
I have recently got a airtel postpaid connection as my friend was keen for it though I was going for a Hutch. Now i look back and thing thats was the biggest mistake i could make. First i had a problem that verification couldn't be done, as all my family members are working the verification officer didn't find anyone home. When he called i told me you can come early morning around 10am or evening around 6:30pm or anytime on weekend but he had some problem as because of this he would had to stretch his working hours. Then my phone services got barred and then i wrote a mail for re-verification anytime of 17th march 2007 or on 19th march between 12pm-3pm but i was informed that nobody would be able to make it. But out of nowhere around 4:30pm i have a verification officer at my home luckily i had taken half day off so i could meet him. Then sometime later i get a message that to make certain payments in 24hours and within hour of that time my services are barred again. A message states to make payments in 24hours but the company cant wait till 24hours and then when i call customer care the agent Gaurav was very rude and then i asked him to transfer the call to Floor Manager my call was put on hold for 20mins and then it was disconnected. I called again some fellow Ruchit was not aware of anything. He didn't even know how to follow hold procedure... This is where i stand in terms Nation's number mobile service provider for me i would say people should go with any other service provider then airtel because it has the worst services in the entire world. I would see what can Nation's number 1 service provider do in terms of solving my query. Best of Luck.

No connection after a week!
Hi, this airtel service is good (as it uses the 1800khz frequency), which is not good to the consumers using it as it effects the user very much (it can be tested by ourselves also).
The test procedure is take a blinker that is it blinks when we get a call (it uses the energy of the signal and blinks, if you go for BSNL sim then we don’t get signal at all, for Hutch and other sims it works only at some locations near by tower, but for airtel there will be no problem at all with signal and also that blinker blinks.) for the same reason also we have good airtel coverage.
As it has good network coverage. It is in good demand and therefore their executives take consumers lightly.
As I am experiencing the problem with them I am here I have applied for a postpaid connection and it is a week and still I didn't get the connection!!!
