Balance cheating
I had been using airtel prepaid for 2 years.but from the last 2 months i received the message like
"Thank you for subscribing to Spicy jokes pack. your have been charged rs 30 for 31 days. To unsubscribe Dial 543212903(Toll free)"
without my subscription my balance was deducted 30 rs for every month. Similarly my balance was reduced by different subscription. Eventhough I unsubscribed by 543212903 number, still deduction was continuing.Now I changed my service provider. Please Beware of this balance theft

bad service
I am using Airtel prepaid connection since from a year. Nowadays I am not able to call the customer care any time. Also the service of my cell i.e. incoming is closed. But my account has validity till Oct.08.
It should not be happen like this. Do clear all my complaints.

This is really funny... try to connect(123) with airtel customer support team for more assistance and look what comes up. I didn't find any option in this section but I couldn't find any other appropriate section, for customer assistance.

Account wrongly debited
I am using airtel prepaid service for past couple of years. I believed airtel provides good services but today this belief went wrong as my account was debited by Rs.222 for no reason. When asked to customer care i got reply that some wrong refill was done on my account so it has been reversed by debiting my account. I told them there is no wrong refill credited to my account but instead account is wrongly debited.
To get reply from customer care i had to call 5-6 times as half the time they used to disconnect the phone as there was no answer with them.
This shows what kind of services are provided by Airtel. If i don't get my balance credited then i will be forced to change the service provider.

Poor Network in Kolkata
I am a Airtel Kolkata Customer. Recently I
have switched to Airtel leaving my 5 yr. old BSNL connection. But I am
sorry to say I have to repent for my decision to switch to Airtel due
to poor network coverage of Airtel in some prime areas within the city
of Kolkata. I have been complaining at 121 customer care number for
last two months but nothing has improved.
I am a daily commuter in the Rabindra Sadan - SSKM - PTS - Race course -
Hastings - 2nd Hooghly Bridge route. I have been experiencing severe
network problem in the entire stretch starting from Rabinndra Sadan -
SSKM four point crossing upto the approach road of 2nd Hooghly Bridge. There is no signal at all when I stand at the Rabindra Sadan - SSKM four point crossing. The problem is not with my handset as I have tried with different handsets and have also seen my colleagues to experience similar network problem in this area. Most of the times there is absolutely no signal and very weak signal cotinues for almost 1 Km stretch upto 2nd Hooghly Bridge approach.
Call drop, poor voice quality and error in call connection is common in this entire 1 Km route.
I have been observing Airtel network strength in this area.
Interestingly there is no tower in this entire 1 km stretch as cell
info display show very distant Bataitala (Howrah) or Strand Road
towers. Interestingly Vodafone has strong network in the area with
their Maidan PS tower and BSNL has Race course and Telecom Factory
towers providing good coverage in this route.
It is surprising to see how Airtel can afford to have such poor
network coverage in such a busy and prime area in the heart of the
city. The problem is persistent for the last few months and there is
no respite for even a single day. Being daily commuters on this route
I along with many of my colleagues are seriously considering to stop
using Airtel and to switch over to Vodafone.
I wish if Airtel could take some action, which could improve the
situation and would help us to retain our Airtel connections.

Terrible company
I have taken duplicate sim card on 11/08/2008 and i assured it will activate by evening.

I have very important calls with this number and i can not change my number. For activation it will take hardly 2 hours... but why taking days first This is totally unacceptable service from Airtel. Pl take necessary this rectify the issue.

pathetic customer service
i have an airtel connection for more than a year now and have seldom called customer service. i was outta the country for a while and in the mean time they have activated a few services on my prepaid connection. when i came back i recd some alerts tht said there was 1 rs that was deducted for some alert. i dint pay much attention but then it increased to 5 times a day. its been 10 days iv bin back from my business trip and everyday it just increases. so like a good customer i called up customer care.
there was some moron by the name of laxman there who couldnt speak english for nuts and was in the english queue and then started to speak to me in bhaiiya accented hindi. i managed somehow. he promised me to refund all the money and that i would get the refund in 24 hours. but when i asked him to transfer the phone to his supervisor he refused and hung up. so i called up again and this time there was a guy named vikas who picked up the phone. though he said he has raised a ticket to get the alerts stopped he refused any refunds. why is it that their cust service reps dont know what they are doing. and i get 12 different kinds of resolutions from 12 different people in a span of 15 minutes. when i asked vikas to transfer the line to the supervisor he had the audacity to tell me that the supervisor cant come online and hung up. what he hell is happening? how come indias second biggest cell phone operator has such pathetic customer service ...there is no training provided...no phone ettiquette...they just make them sit next to a phone and make them take calls. could somebody please help all those people who are sufferring from the attrocities of airtel!!
