This is Ankan Srivastava, one of the airtel mobile customers ( +91 9898931718 ) in Vadodara Gujrat.I am presently facing a problem to which I got a very bad and dissapointing response from airtel Customer care and services.
The story begins on 14th Feb 2011 at around 2:30 AM, when I Told one of my freinds to get a top up done on my number of Rs 333 through internet banking, he did the same for me and I got a MSG from Airtel (555555) which read as follows
" Dear Customer, Your recharge request was processed successfully.Top up Request for Rs333 and Talktime of Rs333> "
The same amount was debited from his ICICI account at same time.But to my surprise no amount was credited in phone balance.
I waited for the amount to be credited till next morning and called the customer care ( 121) at around 8:15 AM, to which the customer care executive denied the fact of any recharge on the said date.but registered a complaint and said that the matter would be resolved in an hour or two as there were some server problems ( He provided me a request reference number as CBNRA20214038335)
But still there was no balance in my phone, I again called customer care and had conversation with Mr. who again had the same story to tell that last recharge on my mobile was done on 30th Jan-11.and hes registered a complaint and conformed that if the amount has been debited from Bank account, then for sure the amount will be credited in fone within 48 hrs of recharge.
I waited this time the whole day that is 15th Feb.I next time called on customer care on 16th Morning and had conversation with an executive and then to his floor supervisor and then with Mr kewal ( Manager ).who after long argument conformed that I will have to go to Airtel office and show the Msg.and conformed that the amount will be credited as soon as I will show the Msg. I was provided a request reference number as CBNRA20216229694
I reached the Airtel office in Alkapuri -Vadodara in the evening had words with Miss Swati..who again made some calls and put me on phone line with some Mr. Jackie who conformed that it will be surely done before 12 midnight (He provided me a request reference number as CBNRA30216677893).But to my vain again no solution.
I called customer care on 17th evening, my call was answered by some Mr. Jayesh -executive, who addmitted that, yes the recharge was done on 14th Feb but due to some issues it cudnt be credited and it would be done by 7:00PM .But again I was cheated.
I once more called at 9:30 PM and had talk with Mr Himanshu Vora who has now again declined the fact that I had any recharge done on 14th Feb-11 and nothing could be done on this matter.
In the last 3 days I have already called Airtel Customer care 10-12 times and have visited Airtel office once.I have already shown the message recieved from Airtel and I have got the Bank Statement which shows debit of Rs 333 from the ICICI Accnt for recharge on number +919898931718.
Now the first Question is that How is it possible that I get a message from Airtel saying recharge request processed successfully, if I had not requested any recharge?? ( which is now being claimed by Mr. Himanshu Vora and at times other representatives ).
Secondly I would ask how much time more it would take to get my balance back in my fone?
Thirdly why do your representatives lie and make wrong commitments if they cant fulfill it ?
I am attaching the bank statement for your reference ( the 4 th transaction in the statement)
I would surely proceed for some legal proceedings if dont get any positive response, coz I have litterally been harassed.
