I found this breeder and her daughter through petfinders.com. Anita's daughter Marcia breeds the Boston Terriers and her parents (Jim and Anita) are very, very elderly and breed the Pomeranians. I arrived at the location and was told to call when I got to the gate... they didn't want to let me on the property, insisting that the will bring the Boston puppy they had to the gate for me to see. When I wanted to see the puppy's parents, Marcia hesitaated, but then let me on the property. Peaople, I have heard of puppy mills, seen them on TV but let me tell you, nothing compares to actually being at one. I was shocked! The property had numerous portable buildings that I did not get to go into, but what I could actually see was an est of 30-40 dogs in kennels and roaming free... that's just what I could see with my limited access!

The Boston puppy she was selling for $350 had a runny nose and was super lethargic. I asked her if she would come down in the price, she said not unti the puppy was 8 weeks old (it was 6 w). Knowing in my heart the puppy would not live 2 more weeks in this place, I did buy her to save her life. I took her to the ER vet hours later and she had a raging upper respiratory infection and was full of worms.

My puppy is now on her way to health... this was 3 days ago and I had her to our normal vet again yesterday. The breeder, Marcia, claimed she is AKC... gaveme paperwork to mail in, etc. BUT, any REAL AKC breeder should not let the puppy go home before 8-9 weeks of age. Plus, she's breeding w/o a license making her AKC claim bogus too. I'm so mad. All those other dogs with green water, long nails, feces matted in the fur... I called the sherriff's office, SPCA, USDA, BBB, PETA and the humane society. I hope this woman gets thrown in jailand those dogs are rescued and have a shot at a loving, caring home. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THESE PEOPLE! PLEASE do not buy any animals from them!!!
